To be fair, story-wise, Nocturne isnt that deep because they dont explain anything from the get go due to the myriad of games prior that already explain concepts like The Will, YWHA and others, SMT4, Digital Devil Saga and others have a more clear story and characters there to make it a impact. Demifiend on the other hand is just the player doing jack shit if they want

I honestly think SMT V: Vengeance is just as good as Nocturne, if not even better at times, because it has way better QOL stuff like saving p much whenever and wherever. Nocturne definitely has its own charm and atmosphere that can't be beaten, though. Still, I highly recommend SMT V if you're enjoying Nocturne this much! It's more character and plot driven than Nocturne, but the combat is just as enjoyable.
