What fabric/stabilizer/needle are you using? awesome video by the way!
You said you don’t use the Beamo to cut your patches during production. What do you use? Example: If I was going to make 50 patches what should I use to get that clean professional look?
Would not be a great solution for 50 patches. - Would need more of industrial laser -
@@markunger7189 Thank you
Perfect video, you da bess
Do you also use a heat and bond for maybe hats? I also purchased a ricoma hat heat press to do so. Looking to do logo patches for companies and for ease and saving time press on hats? What are your thoughts? Thanks
I appreciate the detailed tutorial. I have a ricoma MT-2001 and chroma lux as well. Nice to see how others are digitizing and their tips. I did pick up a few ones that will definitely help. Thanks again!
Can’t do all vectorizing, digitizing and the svg file with Wilcom? Just do once, at least for me, Wilcom does all 3. Why do three times the same thing? I don’t understand.😅
what other alternative is there to adhesives to attach hook onto patch?
Heavy duty sewing machine and sew around the edges, ir if you're crafty, use a needle, strong thread and your two hands and stitch it on. Or they also make an iron on product that inserts between the patch and hook and is then ironed with heat.
i was not aware how many steps and production process was involved past the initial art/vectorizing. i was considering getting my art onto some embroidery patches, but i think it might be easier for me to just outsource that step once done in chroma. thanks for the video regardless
You should see my jack russell. I found I tactical military harness and my British dog has UK 🇬🇧 patches on her.
Awesome video. I think I’m going to ditch Wilcom for Chroma as I am a heavy Illustrator user for my screen printing business. I only use a PC for digitizing and it can be a struggle. That being said, what kind of adhesive do you use on the back?
Is there sound on this video? If so I don't hear anything.
Thanks alot!
Thanks alot!
I kinda look like the actor who plays ant man mix with lex luthor from smallville
i am having trouble bonding a patch with Nylon
Awesome thanks for the detailed tutorial! The amount of understanding that I got from your video was the absolute best. Thanks again
Love the clipper trick. Was looking to figure out the best way to cut them out so close but I don’t have a laser cutter
Why did you use 2 sheets of cutaway?
make more videos like this !
Been watching lots of videos and this video thought me more than I was expecting. Great demonstration and explanation of everything. very easy to understand. Great video !
Has anyone used an epoxy to see how well that works?
Yeah I tried silicone seal but it stained through the patch - Fail!
Thank you!
Very dope!!!!
We need more unboxing vids !!!!
how you create the white color OFFSET OUTLINE
how do you add the pre placement stich to attatch to item as well as the zig zag to tack it on the garment?
Good Video and excellent and detailed explanation!
Great tutorial. One question. I am BRAND new to this program. Been using Illustrator for over 20 years however. That being said, you mention not liking the "eyedropper" tool. I see what you mean about the overlap, but there has to be a way to use the eyedropper tool, then simply offset the X,Y of the fill? This would give you the overlap. Is there no such tool? In Illustrator, I can simply use the "Offset" feature.
There is but its not precise like illustrator but neither is the thread so that makes sense. You can expand the object by a percentage and it will create overlap. Lately I have just been turning toggle the view to thread and then you can see where it will land
Good video. The only thing that would make it better is at the end, you showed the finished patch embroidered out.
Very nice work! What type of fabric do you most often use?
The buzz cut for the back of the patch is so smart!!
Great work
Hot melt onto leather works but you must heat it again after applying it to the leather or fabric. It must be almost liquid on both surfaces before putting them together.
Can you please tell me how to create a border that follows the outline of the design? I can't seem to get it right.
There are a couple ways of doing that... I typically draw my own using the steil tool.
Do you digitize for customers or do you offer training on chroma luxe
Overinflated prices.
Fast simple and straightforward thank you!
Who could even comprehend all of this? This is for a embroidery scientist.
I couldn’t do this if somebody was threatening to blow my brains out this gave high anxiety why is it so hard but so east to you
Awesome job. Getting some great tips.
how do you cut out your patches once they are stitched?
I use a laser cutter: th-cam.com/video/b3_fEnH5u74/w-d-xo.html
I use evo stick impact instant contact adhesive- (red tube )this is the best I’ve found for Velcro to leather , leather to fabric , fabric to fabric , Velcro to Velcro. This glue is able to bend and move and not make the area hard and brittle, great for items that are going to be used and moved, comes in a tin or tube - and the cost is quite cheap , one tip is to apply to an area and then blow air onto it - this stops the glue for being liquid and starts the glue being tacky- stops accidental transfer onto clothing or fingers etc - I used this for years on making and selling patches and I’ve never had a complaint- any over spill let it dry and then pick off as it goes like rubber - - give it a go - your need a well ventilated room as the fumes are strong for a few hours - I leave outside once clamped the cold air hardens it faster , and it’s weather proof rain or water won’t affect it- 🤟🇬🇧
thanks for sharing
Hi mate.... so it is good for patches to velcro ??? Nice and permanent even if they are the iron on type of patch...also do you apply to both velcro and the patch please ??? Many thanks
whats a good way to repair the velcro adhesive that has lost its stickiness over time? Talking about the female end that usually has sticky adhesive backing that is usually found on helmets
Probably replace the velcro all together.
Great demonstration and instruction. Thank you.
Did you ever find out who made the “Most Dope” patch? @8:30

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for this!
