Nice T. I miss the heck out of my 23T. I had a 396 BBC dual quad tunnel hooked up to a TH350 trans and a '57 Pontiac rearend with 3:50 gears. It had (and needed) functional wheelie bars with the 36 inches worth of Mickey Thompson tires across the back. It was a runner.
Hello Sarah. These follow up videos are primarily for those in our classic car community. A full description of Retrofest 2024 (including Ms Retrofest) was included in the promo video of the May 24 - 26th event. th-cam.com/video/0lh25py8ylc/w-d-xo.html Thank you.
My best friend in HS had a 51 Merc coupe. This is not a 51, but a 50 or 49. We often double dated in his 51 merc. The back seat was huge! I called it a "motel room on wheels".
Thanks for the great video David. We always enjoy talking to you at the car shows. Steve and I are very proud of what we accomplished. We love to show the car and meet new people. See you at the next show. Hi Martin .
Steve is my brother's nephew and he used to own this car when it was a dragster. This car had been completely stripped out and Steve and his Dad completely rebuilt this car and put it back on the road. They certainly did a beautiful job!
That story is wrong - Packard president Nance was incompetent. He moved transmissions and the foundry out of the grand ave plant which cost $20 m for nothing. Then he moved production to the old briggs plant when Chrysler bought Briggs on a consultants advice. Grant Ave could make 200K cars a year. The Packard VP of production since 1912 quit because of that decision and they never got volume again.
My Dad bought one for our Family Car . Ours had a little door on the side. I have a video of us arriving at a family get together. Video shows driving up and Dad opening the front and we all got out ... Along with everyone else at the gathering that entered through the side door (off camera) and exiting the front. 😂 About 18-20 people exiting that little car ... Taken about 1958 in Ohio USA ... Thanks for the memories
I have gone for several rides in Claude's beauties as I am his sister and being picked up by him has been a blast!! so many people have stopped to admire them and converse with Claude. They sure are eye-catchers...
Great video!! Thank you
Good job Lynda Great Show
What a great day for the Corvette Club and terrific job on video!

Amazing coverage but sad to not see any inclusion of the Ms.Retrofest pageant, it’s a wonderful part of the weekend that many work hard to present!❤️
Dave the videographs u produce are always so well done. Keep up the great work!!
another incredible job David,
Wayne's '27 Ford was used in a bank robbery , that is definitely cool. I love watching your videos and hearing the stories these cars have
Are you kidding us you have a great voice!
Very nice Woody , I'd be proud of that to I've always love 40s .
Can’t wait!
Nice!! thanks for sharing.
Nice car but not a true Ford. True Fords have all Ford parts not GM parts
That Forty Ford is straight A's an arrow, and the dark blue paint is a sight to behold.
That man is a well known Master Builder and his rebuilds prove it. 👍
Woody ,one Cool car and you have a great talent.
Nice ride Woody. You deserve to be proud of it. Many safe & enjoyable miles.
Man! Woody sure knows vehicles!!! Great work!
A mustang vid an you show lee in a viper. Thats funny. Guess you couldnt find one with him by a mustang
Sorry but the P51 Mustang was not a jet but a piston engine fighter.
I noticed that too Rusty after finishing the video. It gave me a chuckle after my error, so decided to leave it in. Thanks.
I wish I had known about this event. Would have been there for sure!
Exactly! I had no clue.
Another good one Thanks !!
Sad g.m left windsor
Good for you man👍 Good stuff!
Nice Job. Sounds ROWDY. 😊
Great tour around some of the cars, thanks David. Interesting comments also, which give an insight into the build.
The yellow 442 has a oldsmobile Hemi 455 , one of two engines , its a W43 option , never sold to the public
Awesome show. So many gems from the distant past. A big thanks to Jim.
Nice
This is a 1949 not a 1951 as stated.

sure looks like a 49 to me Pull door handles and split rear window
I quite agree. The rear window is a good indicator. Thank you.
Cool
My high school music teacher had a ‘70 ambassador. Beautiful dark blue with matching vinyl top and interior. It put any Cadillac to shame. Super nice!

Known as Bubble Cars in the UK very popular in 1960's my son had two. I myself had a Meadows Frisky in 1963
My high school physics professor in 1958-9 had one. I don't think it had the exposed cooling fan of this restoration.
They're cool little cars. I'd love to have one of those and a Messerschmidt as well as a Citroen to go along with my Beetle.
nice!
