Empowering Bureaucrats for Better Government Performance â Dan Honig
Season finale! It is my great pleasure to welcome back a person I have very much enjoyed speaking with earlier- Dan Honig (danhonig.info/bio) , an Associate Professor of Public Policy at University College London and Georgetown McCourt School of Public Policy (@rambletastic) ( rambletastic) . His latest book is Mission Driven Bureaucrats: Empowering People To Help Government Do Better (danhonig.info/missiondrivenbureaucrats) . Mission-driven bureaucrats, according to Dan, are individuals who work within the bureaucracy with a genuine desire to serve their organization's mission of helping citizens. They perform their jobs out of a strong belief in their purpose, rather than being driven by a set of rules or incentives that compel them to act in specific ways. But what are the historical roots of the term "mission," and how can mission-driven bureaucrats thrive? The book argues that the key to better government lies in empowerment and trust, rather than stricter controls and more rigorous oversight.

The liberal international order, characterized by rules-based multilateralism and values such as openness and representation, is often portrayed in terms of multiple crises. These crises, often analyzed from a Western perspective, include the reduced support of some Western powers towards certain multilateral institutions and the establishment of new ones by rising powers. However, these narrat...

The ever-evolving world of global power dynamics is characterized by the complex relationships between large economies such as the United States and China and how these interactions are perceived and navigated by countries in the Global South. A central theme in Ian Shapiro's extensive body of research is the concept of domination, which captures the reactive nature of human beings towards power structures. Unlike traditional political theories that imagine societies designing just orders from scratch, Ian argues that political institutions evolve in response to the rejection of unacceptable power dynamics. This reactive nature is ev...

A New Horizon: Advancing Public Sector Reform in Africa - Happy Kayuni
This guy has been totally indoctrinated. He actually believes all of this rubbish. This is thier plan for a global take over. Global totalitarian government with full authority and control of every single aspect of your life.
The problem today is that people like this witch is on the path to exterminate all humans. They even think that would be the ultimate solution.
these psychos forgot to mention how they want people to "live" if u can call it that as a transhumanist cyborg slave in a technocratic hunger games society...that is where they r pushing humanity towards in 2030.
A dangerous man, this Frank Biermann and his organization. Instead of coming up with solutions for the rapidly warming earth, he is blocking solutions. He himself does not live in the countries that will be hit the hardest. Especially countries around the equator that will not have enough time to adapt to the high temperature increases will be the victims. People have caused the rapid warming of the earth. The least they can do is try to restore it somewhat. And prevent unnecessary suffering of people and animals. The only solution he has is to have people prepare for the extreme weather. So he is putting all his money on one horse, instead of exploring multiple options. Options that will most likely have more results. Poor people cannot prepare for the climate changes. Corrupt governments will also do little, that is why it is so important that steps are taken at a global level. And geo-engineering should not be excluded.
Scary.
We don't want mass immigration thanks
Demonic agendas leave us alone
14:04 You people do push RCT as the only legitimate and reliable tool for causal inference. You will pay the obligatory lip service to structural or theoretical work. But deep down, you guys think the only questions in economics that are worth studying are questions that can be answered with an RCT. In interviews, you will of course disavow this view. But itâs evident that you people hold this view in offhand remarks you make.
11:28 You guys arenât being pragmatic. You guys are just interested in solving problems that have virtually zero impact on economic development. Tell me one single rich country that got rich by increasing vaccination rates and giving out deworming pills.
9:05 Rachel, Iâve seen you on numerous occasions equate rigorous causal inference with RCT. And in that sense, your cult does push RCT as the gold standard.
Love learning from Professor Kayuni! He is the best
A concocted report for a fraudulent agenda. There's no population problem. And who dares play God regarding population?? No one has that right, NO ONE. WE NEED MORE POPULATION, AS CHINA AND JAPAN HAVE ZERO HUMAN GROWTH, AS DOES OTHER COUNTRIES.
Could you please have a talk with Prof Deva regarding the definition of forests and sustainable development in the Indian context
This is such European and Islamic bullshit being pressed into Americ and Demi rats are responsible for take million of dollars personally to assist in implementing. Iâd love to have this guys face meet my fist.
2030 is a Marxist agenda being forced on American people and American life by people like this guy who are from the Middle East and other complete opposites of America. This is a fully Marxist and communist ideological platform mean to open America to socialism and Onw world order. IT MUAT BE PREVENTED AT ALL COSTS. This is the agenda that Democrats follow yet they opposed project 2025 which is our American centric thinking!
Stop funding the UN - countries are sovereign - it is traitorous to support the UN - it should be illegal. The UN is not what it was decades ago.
what a content that needs serious publications... I love the honest of Dr Jeffrey.. poking the elite that are massive contributors of inequality and sluggish SDGS
The whole world didn't agree on anything in 2015. A bunch of fat cats who've never done a lick of real work in their lives agreed to depopulate the world and enslave the survivors, all by 2030.
Make all the plans you want. Christ is King and He wins in the end. Deep down, all of your kind know this. Repent. Reject your current master (you know who that is) and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
