Wow! Beautiful ❤ I will make the Agatha shawl too😊
I love that reading shawl, I made one for my coworker and am making one for myself ! Yours turned out beautiful!!
I'm also not seeing the links for this hat?!?
Love your gorgeous shawls scarfs so beautiful
What is your channel name?
❤️❤️❤️
Great hat! Cutest on TH-cam. What kind of yarn did use? Nice color! I want to be a happy wicked witch, not a dark one;)
Thank you! 😊 I actually held 2 strands of worsted weight yarn for this hat. I used the Pound of Love acrylic in 2 different colors.
No wonder why yours is stiffer and standing up better than mine. I finished mine 2 days ago using Lion Brand Mandala yarn. It turned out great. Thanks for your reply!
Love it! I am new to crochet
Unable to locate the link for this pattern.
Girl that’s to darn cute and I’ve been looking for a witch hat tutorial But where’s the links and or video 🤷🏽♀️
Where is the vid for the witch hat?!
Ooh I am so pleased you love my shawl, thank you for making it, oh my it looks fabulous in that yarn! A shlanket, never heard that before but I guess it is a good way of describing it! Thank you for mentioning me and linking the video, I am so happy you liked the project! Anja x
I’m making this shawl too, this one I’d for my BFF.
I am just finishing the AC reading shawl! I love it. I will make another before winter!!! So glad to hear what yarn and hook you used. Mine is in sunset colors of pink & orange💕☕️
I’m Jill, and I’ve made two of the Agatha reading shawls! My favorite shawl pattern of all time! Just love it.
I’m currently thinking about making another one as well 😊
LOVE the Nightshift shawl colors you chose! Just beautuful!
Thank you so much!
I can't find it on you channel 😢
I also made the Agatha shawl using bamboo and oh my gracious it is beautiful. Best shawl ever
Which bamboo yarn did you use ? I was thinking about trying that for something a little lighter.
@@QueenofSkeins i used lucky brand from joann because my coboo did not arrive on time. I like it better, so soft, nice sheen and the drape is amazing
Love it- great idea! I wanted to try a different yarn. Thanks?
Can you please share the tutorial of this beautiful hat pattern 🥺
how does the top not topple? how does it stand straight?
Thanks for being a rescue Mom to these babies! You have a heart of gold for helping our Lords creatures who suffer in this world. I currently and mother to 3 rescues and 2 more who rescued me after my husband’s passing. Would you share the link to the Amazon totes please?
Thank you Lisa! They’ve saved me more than I’ve saved them also 🥰 Thank you for reminding me about the link. I’ll post it in the show notes also 😊 www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CN9262XS?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
I noticed in the Tomis tutorial that she calls the stitch a v stitch but its not a v stitch at all, its just 2 double crochets in the same stitch. Theres no chain to separate them, which is what a v stitch is, right? @QueenofSkeins
I would say you’re right on that Dawna. That’s how I’d define a true V stitch also. I’m guessing the reason she refers to them as that is because you are only ever stitching between the “V stitch’s” and not into the double crochets themselves. Thus giving the same appearance as it would if you added the chain space in between and “V stitched in each V stitch”. Honestly I think if someone was confused they could add the chain stitch in between the 2 doubles and it wouldn’t change the look.
I decidedto try adding a row with the added chain and it was a noticeable difference. It also caused a significant bowing that I didn't care for do I frogged it back. The next one I make I'll try adding the chain. It would definitely make it more lacy I think. Could I get your email by the way? I'd love to share my progress and keep in touch between your videos.
@@DawnaLovesYarn brandycampbell76@gmail.com 😊
@@DawnaLovesYarn yeah, I would think it would make it a bit more holey, lol. That’s why I don’t add a chain space between my granny clusters either. I suppose it’s just personal preference. I can’t wait to see yours finished. Mine is blocking now 👍🏻
I enjoyed the yarntube/flosstube combo as I do both as well😊. The Tomis scarf looks great: I have stitched a lot of CJ Brady scarves, and they are quick and lovely, too. I bought Halloween at HRH, thinking I could get it finished in a year as well. Truth be told, I only want to stitch on it in October, so it's probably going to be a 12 year project😂. Good luck with your new job, and I look forward to your next monthly video❤
Thanks so much Jenn! I’ve given you a subscribe back. I love finding more combo crafting TH-cam channels 😁 I recently found Kay in the Cave of Possibilities TH-cam channel, she knits and cross stitches and I really enjoyed her channel too. Anyway, I’m going to check out some CJ Brady scarves now… thanks for sharing! 😊
. I started the tomis last night. I have 2 hanks of the authentic hand dyed in blue vapor (discontinued) I'll try to finish it today. Thanks for the help.
The neat thing about the Tomis that I liked was that you don’t have to make a decrease on one end. The decrease is made by stopping short of the end, and I like how that gives it the shell type border. I’ll be excited to see your finished project 😁
What size hook did you use for yours? I'm using a 3.75mm
@@DawnaLovesYarn well worth the yarn I’m using, which is roving style (thick thin) fingering, I’m using a 5 mm. For me with my tension, if I was doing this same shawl in a regular fingering weight ( like the authentic hand dyed) I’d probably use a 4 mm.
Hi my friend
👋🏻😊
In use a blanket a b c
That VSO pretty
Thank you 🥰
You welcome
Only a once a month video? 😢 Congratulations on the new job though. We'll miss seeing you but I'll look forward to when you can record. I wish i could take up criss stitch again but my tremor would make it too challenging. You do beautiful work though. I want to get that unicorn horn yarn from hobby lobby but its out of stock according to the website. That's fine because i can't buy more yarn right now. Besides, i have plenty of authentic hand dyed yarn from hobby lobby that i can use. I love starting new projects too. Good luck on your training.
Thank you Dawna 😊
Hi Brandy! I can't believe you mentioned me!!!! Thank you! Im going to make that Tomis shawl. I'll bet it goes pretty fast, right? I might use either a cotton cake from hobbii or a Stenli cake. You know I'll share it when i get it going. The first boomerang scarf is nice too. Can you explain better how to increase and decrease?
The Tomis is pretty quick, I think you will love it. It’s also great for people that don’t want the “traditional” style shawls that drape over the shoulders and back. As far as shaping goes, you can certainly use whatever kind of increase or decrease that you like, the key to the boomerang shape is just keeping them consistent. The most common recipe would go something like this: Chain 5, sc across (4 sc) Row 1 Chain 1 and turn. In the first sc, place 2 sc (that’s your row 1 increase) Sc across until the last 2 stitches and sc2tog (that’s your row 1 decrease). (4 sc) Your stitch count remains the same on row 1. Row 2 Chain 1 and turn Sc in every sc until the last. Place 2 sc in the last stitch. (5 sc) Stitch count increases by 1 on row 2. You would then just continue doing row one and row two until the size you like is achieved. I hope that helps 😊
Forgot to say that I hope you can keep that poor little kitten. I love cats so it hurt to hear about his horrible condition.
I’m pretty sure I will be adopting her myself 😻
Starting new projects is certainly fun, but I would be so stressed to have so many WIPS! Good luck with your new job!
Thank you so much! 😊
Hey dear can you tell me, how many wool did you need this
I used just over 800 yards of yarn for mine. You could definitely get by with less if you omitted the fringe. Hope this helps 😊
Love your channel and diversity of needle arts! I was a radiology/nuclear medicine tech for 36+ yrs and then caregiver for my husband when we was diagnosed with GBM. Now as a widow I am all about color, learning beyond my comfort and finding a place of peace. Glad I found your channel 🪡🧵🧡
Thank you so much for your kind words. So glad you are enjoying what you’ve seen so far. ❤️😊
Wonderful video! Really enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing! Subscribed so I don't miss a thing! Have a lovely rest of your day! Felicia
Thank you so much Felicia! Glad you enjoyed it 🥰
I try to wear one handmade piece a day. 😊
I’ve been much better about it this winter 😊
❤❤
Hi Brandy, I'm Brandy too! 🙃 I'm stitching the Scary Sampler on 40ct (WDW in Cocoa), 1 over 2 - It seems like I always second guess myself when I make fabric changes... 🤔The Aida you picked is really pretty and will be perfect for something else if you end up stashing it! Enjoyed your video, looking forward to seeing you around! 😊
So great to meet another crafty Brandy 😂 I’m going to start digging through my stash to see what I have available. Probably 32 count lugana as that tends to be what I collected in the past, but we shall see. I’m going to check if you have a channel and if so I will be subscribing so I can follow your progress as well 😊 Thanks so much for watching!
I do! Come for a visit! I’m a newbie to the Flosstube community, but I’m about to get it together. 😂
I subscribed and will be binging this evening 🤣
I have enjoyed your videos…and, your projects…will be looking forward to your next one! Happy stitching!😊
Thank you so much! 🥰 And thank you for watching 😊
I am glad you discovered Owl Forest Embroidery. I too am doing Alice in Wonderland. I am doing it in the full colour version. Happy Stitching!!!
That’s awesome 😁 I just subscribed to your channel so I can follow along with your progress. Thank you so much for watching ❤️
Hi, found your channel a week or so ago and absolutely love all your videos, you do beautiful work ❤
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you are enjoying what you’ve seen so far. 😊🥰
Love your channel
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰
We went to the Silver Needle today for the sale! Did you make it up there? Thanks for the kind mention!
No, I ended up working…boo hiss 🙃
Thank you for the nice shoutout ❤❤
Absolutely love that shawl. And your channel, brightens up my day .you and about 3 others I subscribe to that have no drama and so much joy to watch!!
Thank you so much! 😊 I just can’t do the drama anymore and really strive to focus on the positive. That doesn’t mean the hard things don’t exist, but I’ve noticed I tend to get more of whatever I place my attention on. Anyway, so glad to have you here and hope you continue to enjoy my channel 🥰
Hey Brandy. Your volume was great today! That yarn you chose for the new asymmetrical shawl is so pretty. I had a feeling it was an authentic hand dyed yarn from yarn bee. I love that yarn and have a nice little collection thanks to the 2 clearance sales I've been fortunate enough to participate in. Im anxious to see it finished
Thank you so much Dawna. After you mentioned looking into settings regarding the volume issue, I found that I could boost my volume in my editing software 😊 I didn’t even need to use my mics after changing that setting 😝 I also really like the yarn bee hand dyed. I’ve collected quite a few “one skein wonders” at this point 🙃
@QueenofSkeins. Any crochet one skein projects you might recommend?
I actually was looking for one that wasn’t too lacy. If I find a good one I’ll post back here 👍🏻
I don't mind lacy@@QueenofSkeins
I like a good lacy shawl too, but I’ve been looking for something similar to the knit Linus shawl version but no luck. BUT, by George I think I’ve figured out an amazing gorgeous crochet summer shawl of my own that I can’t wait to share with all of you. I’m going to finish up my prototype? and then film a tutorial for all of you. This may be my new favorite 😍 Might take me a wee bit to get it together as I’ve never filmed a proper tutorial, but keep an eye out 👍🏻
Brandy, you look totally awesome even without makeup. I'm so jelly!!!😊
You are too too kind 😊 Thank you!!!
I agree 💯
What is the name and info of the lovely Afghan draped over the chair you sit in?
That’s actually my Nightshift Shawl that I made a few months ago. I actually did a video about it if you want to see it in all its glory, lol 😊 Thank you for watching!
Here is the link to that video 👍🏻 th-cam.com/video/-PkVbuOgRUc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6X8MBmOafcbnnMT_
So glad I found you! I was also a respiratory therapist in Canada. It was 50 years ago when I trained. I also stitched with Teresa Little Stitcher and got addicted to full coverage. I now have 20 + full coverage along with many other stitches. Thank you for your flosstube

Normally I’m just a lurker, but I also subscribed after the kitten story, anyone who’s had pets has a story like that, LOL. Hello from PEI Canada
Hello and welcome Joanne 👋🏻 So glad I could make ya laugh 😂 Thanks for watching!
