This was an interesting topic. I took Music Appreciation and Learned Many of these types of songs. Not called Murder Ballads, just traditional Folk Music handed down generationly. I liked the segway into the harm being done now to victims and their families. Poor Deliah Green, murdered and slandered. Thank you and look forward to hearing more. ❤

I myself was a SA victim as a child and do know how you feel, it was painful memories I over came. With God's love, counseling from professionals and learned to forgive( when they asked) I became a survivor and not a hurting victim no longer. I wanna share hope, mercy and grace that God has given us and I hope you know that truth already. I have a hope and stand on that hope. The hope of a resurrection one day and see life eternal. Keep walking in God's love, keep doing what is good, just and merciful. Ask forgiveness when we fall or sin against our fellow man and give forgiveness when one ask. Hades is not a place of life eternal torture to go when we die. God gives each of us the choice of life eternal or death eternal, not life eternal with torture. That is cruelty showing no mercy. Who whats to love a God like that. I don't. Yes, some do die in their sins, refusing to just ask forgiveness from those they sin against, turn from wickedness and do good, instead they chosen death eternal. Even a murderer can find grace in the eyes of God when they repent, turn and do good. Some that die in their sins are judged guilty and forgotten, wiped from God's memories. That book of life is God's records, his memory like an open book recoring everything. Even Our memories are recorded we are made in his image. Our minds are like a book, recording everything. The picture of ge-himmon,(hades)the vally of slaughter/ laminations is where many criminals "After Death" where tossed and forgotten (no Honorable graves) Lord Yeshua disciples see this mental picture that is an absolute picture of ones destruction and forgotten as a criminal. They definitely did fear yahavah God our father the holy spirit who can take your life away, after your killed, be cast into this gehimmon and be forgotten, But Yeshua then reassures his disciples that if 2 innocent sparrows that were sacrificed, God remembers them. So, how much more does he value us that trust in God and will give us life again. Yeshua went to hades and has the keys (our graves,our resting place) awaits for 3 nights and 3 days. He wasn't forgotten as a criminal/sinner and God his father raised him up. Just as he didn't leave our lord in hades, he will not leave us or forgot us that are in his love, in his book of life(God's memory). He will not forget those innocent children either that were cast into ge-himmon ALIVE in those day. Oh! what pain and laminations God must had felt when people did this. It is something that would never come into his mind to cast a living person into a fire. At least he would have mercy to kill a criminal found guilty first, and then burn the body to ashes to return to the earth. That is justice and mercy. God is about both. God is love. God is spirit. His son is a the best choosen one for us to follow, he is our brother. We listen to his instructions and God his father the holy spirit. We honored Yeshua as we honor his father. He is the prince of peace, chosen by God his father the holy spirit to be crowned as a King of kings above all other kings. We are Yeshua's inheritance and he will rule over us with other kings, with the righteousness of God his father the holy spirit with an iron rod.
