My home-made edits of some of my favourite dance hits, from the mid-70s onwards...plus some songs I love which I couldn't find on TH-cam!
Kylie Minogue - Shocked (Foundations Megamix)
Released as the fourth single from her third album "Rhythm Of Love (1990), "Shocked marked a milestone in Kylie Minogue's career. She became the first artist ever to have their first thirteen releases go Top Ten in the UK charts. "Shocked" also hit the Top 10 in Australia, Finland and Ireland. Produced by Stock Aitken Waterman, mixes were supplied by both DNA and Harding/Curnow. My "Foundations" megamix is based on Phil and Ian's mixes, with both the rock elements and the background 'scream' noise utilised sparingly. Instead the emphasis is on the vocals of Kylie and sterling backing singers Mae McKenna and Miriam Stockley...

Sounds more like 1981. 1984 was the absolute pits, Disco was dead and I was completely heartbroken 😮. I despise that year with a passion. At least I had one shining light along with this classic and Tony Cook & the Party People's Rock It On The Dance Floor. The rest of that garbage with the annoying snare drum had to go.
