This wasn't helpful. However, it is very amusing!😂
@@KidsAtTheBar. well thanks lol. Ya thus one was an accident in general lol.
I leant that mites are rubbish , lol
@@paulstingrayGardening lol no doubt. I watched your video and then went to check the winter turnips and no they are covered lol.
wet fish
@@paulstingrayGardening lol liquefied fish lol
what water are you using?
@@imranghazali1509 I'm pretty sure at this time it was just tap water.
But what do you put in the bucket????
@@paulstingrayGardening what ever you want to ferment lol. I'm making fish fertilizer video goes live this upcoming Sunday lol.
The vid just stopped , LOL
Lol my mic died so It was me just talking about how one seed started and then showing it off but I was like voice over sounds like dooky lmao

I'm about to do a spinach hydro setup when I get a min
@@paulstingrayGardening well I'll be watching that lol because I suck at spinach
Mmm so jealous, love Bok Choy
@@agwoolard3259 it's definitely found a place my garden.
Very true my guy - it took me a few hard lessons with these kits to know better..
@@Moduz66 lol ta I'm pretty well over them at this point. And it's discouraging as a beginner seed grower because you think it's you lol.
I hope it makes it 🙏
@@mgr9232 me too I'd love to get some fresh bok choy soon
My spinach is always so finicky on me too but that book choy is lookin awesome so far!
@@mgr9232 I've been struggling with spinach for 4 years lol this is my last go lol. Thank you this is my first year with it and I'm loving it.
lol , weird!

@@CartersGardens the husk of the loooofa
@@paulstingrayGardening lol I didn't realize they were like that lol
@@CartersGardens SAME , haha mine didn't live long enough
@@paulstingrayGardening idk why mine did everything around them did terrible and I thought they were doomed then went and watched the wife have a child came back boom everywhere.
those staples won't hold long term. use roofing nails and nail a furring strip over top of the edges of the hardware cloth.
@@rodeleon2875 uk I was just sitting here looking at it when you commented wondering will this work for are bigger project. Perfect timing thanks for an awesome tip.

Did you mean to upload a video a how to plant catnip without showing anything other than a bag of seeds?
@@Number74er not necessarily lol I was working out opus and I set it up and next thing ik I had posted a bunch of em like this but the recommended at the bottom is the full video.

you must plant them. all! lolol
@@paulstingrayGardening lol I'm seriously thinking about it lol
@@CartersGardens YOU MUST!
@@paulstingrayGardening lol I gotta fish em out if the container someone forgot he put em in a bucket and dumped em in the compost
@@CartersGardens lolol
@@paulstingrayGardening well I think your getting your wish lol there in the spare potting soil so when we go to dump they will all be in the garden lmao
You can use bigger grow bag for more space. The only difference that probably affected the tomato plant is lack of water. Grow bags get more air flow from all around and have tendancy to dry the soil much faster.
@@tarwingrill4531 that's exactly what I've come to the conclusion of this year is I need bigger grow bags and a more consistent water source but I was even told drip doesn't do super great so still working on that kink
I found that my tomato plant in the grow bag dried out too fast, even with a drip, it couldn’t hold water. I think I’ll use the bag for potatoes and see how it goes.
@@zancooper3876 ya I didn't set up a drip but dunked em twice a day and agreed dried out super fast. Potatoes did super awesome in them.
Why not grow them in a bigger grow bag and stop the foolishness...daaah😂
@@elizabethjames213 well the plan was to try to do them in 3 gallon grow bags for like Balcony or porch use and see how small I could get away with lol
I had my tomatoes in a 10 gallon bag. Too floppy to support the cage
@@michaelhuang2477 mine was to top heavy and kept falling over lol
What type of tomato’s determine or indeterminate? I believe that was the issue if you had indeterminate they do need room to grow
@@emisaelortega I actually had big cherry red indeterminate in one and ace 55 determinate in the other both did poorly toward mid season lol. But the indeterminate cherry's did way better then the ace 55 but all my ace 55 did bad lol
Have to get a better size mines 10gal bag, got up to 7 foot tall sadly fell over on the trellis and had to trim it and it grew back
@@Rsq_evl I had the same problem mine grew up my stake and then fell over I plan to get bigger bags or five gallon buckets for next year.
all of your complaints are about the size of the container, which has absolutely nothing to do with the material it's made of
@@dummkompf well yes and no if I was using a different grow bag then I wouldn't need to have as much additional material for water retention and nutrition loss.
YOU NEED 20 GAL MIN FOR TOMATOES GROW BAGS I USE 40 GAL
@@kenbiernacki2138 lol that's kinda were I'm leaning toward or staying in ground with them 😅
🧢 min 5 better at 10, 20 is a huge waste of space and medium most people growing mostly in pots and grow bags don’t have the space for a bunch of those anything more than 20 can hold fruit trees that produce fruit
@@Palmiers710 that's why I tired the 3 gallon I have the space but I wanted to see for like a balcony or something
It;s more the nutrients and water in a small space. My tomatoes are in tiny hydroponic systems but I'm getting great results. think of it like a water system not dirt system. it all depends on the conditions they are grown in.
@@paulstingrayGardening agreed. But with your system being closed your consistently keeping moisture and nutrients to the plants lol. With the 3 gallon fabric grow bags I could only put so much in there and then with each watering I'm losing nutrients out the bottom and then with the water even watering before in after work once they root bound its like I couldn't get enough in there. To be honest what I wish I would have done is got big planters like yours for them and did drip irrigation.
@@CartersGardens you could always sit the bags in tubs and do that
@@paulstingrayGardening lmao great minds think alike I tried using 5 gallon buckets to sit them in to soak them nightly lol that did ok until 90 degrees then I tried leaving them and apparently they didn't like sitting in water all day lol there was no happy medium once the root logged lmao
IS THAT A DIK TATTOOED ON YOUR FINGER? HAHAHA Drip watering should work good.
@@paulstingrayGardening lmao well the cats out of the bag on that one I guess lmao
@@CartersGardens LOL
The way that’s blowing up in the air like smoke isn’t very safe. This stuff is very dangerous to inhale. It works great in the garden I use it too just please be mindful. A shift of the wind and you could breathe in a lung full and that’s something you really don’t want to do with DE. ❤
@@SurlyMiss thank you for the heads up.
Is that a giant corn field in the background?
@@paulstingrayGardening lol nope it's the mortal enemy of everyone who lives in this area... cane grass
what do you do with it?
@@paulstingrayGardening well from what I gather you use it in alot of other fertilizers you put it on your compost to ramp things up and we have been watering with it and it seems to do alot of good with diseases and some pest and really makes the plants pep up.
@@paulstingrayGardening pregame warning do most of it outside made the hole house smell lol.
@@CartersGardens I'll have to google it when I get a min
Mine got wiped out by bugs
@@paulstingrayGardening bring on the cage lol
The caterpillar at the base of your plant is the parsley worm caterpillar & will turn into the black swallowtail butterfly! ❤🦋🐛 the first one looks like the monarch caterpillar
@@lenasmith1948 that's exactly what we were thinking the only thing we didn't see were the antenna for it to be a monarch?
Monarch caterpillars! I know they're annoying but they're important too. ❤
@@SaucySprout we looked them up and ya we ended up with a black tail swallow butterfly but ya they are definitely staying where they are
Plant aescepules seeds and soon will attract Monarch flutterbyes...
@@janweisbart that would be awesome we are leaving these guys where they are glad to see them
They appear to be Monarch butterfly caterpillars.
Then what? salad? lol
@@paulstingrayGardening lol maybe. I actually did plant some of these lol.
@@CartersGardens I need a heap of garden beds.. then I might go hunting supermarket seeds / beans hahaha
@@paulstingrayGardening I gotta say get the bean bags from the store over the actual seed packets way cheaper and they grow like crazy lmao
Uhh, pretty sure that first bug is a squash borer, it will lay its eggs on your squash and the larvae will destroy that plant. Good luck!
@@frenchpotato2852 That's exactly what I thought it was never seen one in person so was hoping I was wrong. To many vines over there for this non sense lol
@@CartersGardensNeither have I ever seen one, only learned about them days ago. I had my squash die off this year for no apparent reason, I wonder if this had hit them and I wasn’t aware…
@@frenchpotato2852 definitely possible I've dealt with the damage before but never seen a mature moth yet. Going to have to go on a hunt lol.

SELF SEEDING MAKE THE HEALTHIEST SURVIVORS!!!
@@kavitha4925 Exactly my whole garden on that side are completely volunteer plants except for the cups.
I've heard what can make this complicated is that different squashes crossbreed easily, so you may have to wait to see what they fertilized with.
@@Hoboboy12 well at this time I have white pumpkins regular pumpkins and spaghetti squash. Hopefully I don't open the spaghetti squash and get pumpkins flavored lol
I'm about to plant more tomatoes , but in cages this time, lol huge bugs over here
@@paulstingrayGardening lol I've been thinking about doing a second crop myself these ace 55 have been terrible lol. Our tomato worms aren't huge but man they destroy a tomato crop quick.

@@NVMe420 lol these ones I actually didn't forget lol now the Pasture garden is a hit or miss lol. All those plants are volunteers lol.
It's not wise to do this. Both require different foods and watering. Plus the pot is too small for all those roots.
@@joewil1441 ya I was not planning on both lol and the 3 gallons are for my testing all the plants weren't suppose to stay lol.
Mine went super well in pots , but I totally forgot to do a video on it , haha
