I just bought the MacBook Pro M1 Max for $1250 32 gb ram 🥂

that laptop is meant to last for 5-7 years and there's no doubt that it won't be able to compete with any upcoming mac in the near future.

I have the same spec 16 inch I bought around a year ago from a guy for $1500, the marginal difference in performace when you have the flagship from only a few years ago, still sharing the same body, makes it completly unjustifiable to upgrade.

When you upgrade can you tell us if it slows down in those particular workloads? You mentioned your current mac is slower sometimes

I just ordered one just like this but with 64gb of ram (refurbished). It's replacing a 2015 i5 MBP with 8gb ram and a 2018 i7 HP Omen 15 with 32gb. The only downgrade for me is the storage (I upgraded the 2018 with 2TB), but I will gladly make that trade for more ram and a much faster processor. Can't wait.

I just scored a bran new 16" M1 Max exactly same specs like yours. I dont use it like you but Linux VMs work amazingly. Fucking machine rocks. I got sealed never opened 3 months ago for 1900$ on ebay. Couldnt say no. My M1 Air still works like new. It has 512 SSD and the 8 core GPU. SSD fast as fuck. Linux on it also runs so well

Good review! I think you bring up a very good point when you mention that the iPad mini is great to use when you are lying in bed. I've recently bought a tab S9+ because it was incredibly cheap on sale(even cheaper than buying a brand new 256gb iPad mini) but I was honestly so disappointed because it was so impractical to use in bed. I truly feel that smaller tablets are inherently more suited for entertainment because they are much easier to handle and the iPad mini is the only quality small tablet out there.

So should I just get the 15pm?

I could just connect it to the screen and it will charge? Also, is it recommended to have it connected at all times? I am planning to use the Apple display for my MacBook Pro 24 seven and I am just wondering which way to connect it to the wall and I also heard that by connecting it to the wall all day it doesn’t affect the battery. Just want to get your input thank you.

Always had a max, hate it for 1 hand use, got the 16 pro and it feels so weird and small. Torn to return it and get the max and just go back to two hand use only

I currently have a 12 pro max and am wondering whether to switch to the 16 pro, given that it's not so much of a size drop than it used to be, but no one seems to have fully mentioned that in any reviews yet. I think a number of people might be thinking the same thing and that the non-max might be big enough now it's 6.3 inches and not 6.1. Would love you to go into a bit more detail in a reply rather than just saying it feels smaller. How much smaller given its still bigger than the previous pro versions. Thanks.

I have the exact same MacBook that I bought in April 2022 for €3853. I really like it, it works fast, the fans have never turned on yet. This is most likely because I don't really load it with heavy tasks and don't play games on this computer. I even saw that some stores here still sell this model of MBP. Anyway, I recommend buying this laptop if it's being sold at a significant discount.

The fact is staying within ther ecoysystem is key. Even Safari. They have modified all their devices recently to THEIR chipsets and all their devices share similar making it all work virtually semlessly perfect!😁
