How to repair a motor shaft Keyway while it's still fitted. If we weld it will it damage the motor. Since it keeps Rotating how to machine the welded shaft key
Have to open motor to repair shaft... After welding it will be machining,. Only solution
@@Gurminder93 we completed that 2 weeks back. We took out the shaft. Welded it. Cut a fresh Keyway on a Radial drill Machine. Yes on a Radial drill. Then replaced its oil seals. Oil was seeping into the motor from the Gearbox. Also replaced the connecting Worm shaft with motor with a new machined one. Works good now .
