Brilliant idea!! Thank you so much! 👍🙏
Great idea! Thank you
Good idea. I just bought a house which came with some amazing teak furniture, but the previous owner used wax on it, which has now built up to an extreme degree. After spending 2 hours and making little progress, I had to consult TH-cam for some better ideas.
Brilliant, thank you Francesco!
What kind of steamer are you using?
Thanks for this idea. Are you in France or Italy? Or??
Ireland
@@francescosdiy8009 Mais d'origine Francaise quand meme?
Thanks for this video Francesco, this saved me a lot of work.
I tried using my steamer to remove wax . Yes it works. Hard work as well. I am thinking of using an old iron over a cloth. I have seen video on TH-cam saying mineral spirits also works.
Yes but in the small areas with a steamer it’s a lot faster and easier , I finished all of my interior doors with it , I know it’s hard work but it leaves an immaculate finish on your doors
@@francescosdiy8009 I’m trying to get the wax off the painted furniture. Would you still use the same method?
@@ritaweir19 yes it will work.it might fade the paint,if you re planning to repaint your door,it s perfect.
Yes, you can also use steelwool & metholyted(mineral) spirits & wipe off with clean rag.
It’s easier with acetone and toluene
This is a chemical free method.
Very nasty products. I'm not all "Health & Safety" conscious but I'd be very wary using them.
@@wonbadood8243 acetone is a naturally occurring chemical in your body. The same thing used to make nail polish remover. It’s a solvent, so it’s not nice to smell and can irritate your nose and throat, but it isn’t a “nasty product” Use it in a ventilated space, don’t huff it or drink it and you’ll be perfectly fine.
