Extra Large Wok Frying Pan Made From Scrap Metal
In this DIY tutorial, we're going to show you how to create an extra large wok frying pan made from scrap metal, perfect for homestead cooking and farmhouse food. We'll be using a harrow disc, also known as a plow disc or disc cookware, to create a heavy-duty and durable frying pan that's ideal for outdoor cooking. This cowboy wok style pan is similar to a Discada, a traditional Mexican cooking vessel. With its large size and sturdy construction, this pan is perfect for cooking big meals for the family or for a crowd. We'll take you through the process of transforming the scrap metal into a functional and rust-resistant iron pan, complete with legs for stability. Whether you're looking to make a DIY Discada or a wok frying pan, this video will guide you through the process. So if you're interested in learning how to make a frying pan from scratch, using recycled materials, then this video is for you.

Thanks for the question. What clamp, what exactly?

Looks great. Only recommendation would be using something different to fasten the stand to the wood base. Maybe recess the back so you can put a nut in there and slide a carriage bolt through from the top.
Thanks for the recommendation. The board is thin, it will not be possible to make recesses. If the fastenings are on one joint, then the construction will eventually have a wobble and can break the board. Thanks, I will take this into account in the next video.
@addforging no problem. I definitely love the idea and want to try something similar myself.

By not welding the joint on the inside of the wall to the base of the pan you will allow rust and germs to build up. Not very healthy for food cooking. Be careful.

I've no clue how long that blue 🔵 one is and how easily carried but definitely the most useful one!!!! Able to make a tall rocket stove and maybe 🤔 just drill through the bottom of the chimney all the way out the other side for plenty of air feed creating that telltale rocket sound for which that stove is named!!!! I've a 2" by 17" wood auger I use for that very reason but wondered if I'm wasting burn time and by removing too much of the sides of the chimney initially??? But I suppose when making a stove with enough heat for a 24" skillet to cook evenly it does work extremely well!!!! Both amozon and ebay have 1" wood augers that are for electricians to drill through the studs to accommodate the various sockets and wall switches and some are flexible for as much as 6' or maybe more!!!! And a battery operated drill definitely makes life easier then cranking out the chimney by hand!!!!!😉 I've a small generator and 5/8" chuck powerful drill motor that spins that 2" with ease as well as two dirt augers one 3"×24"and one 2"×32" that makes a rocket stove in the ground for stealth mode the 3" for the chimney and the 2" for the air hole's 🕳️!!!!
The auger is 18.11" long and 1" in diameter. It is good that you can drill a long hole and make a rocket stove higher. In a high rocket stove, the draft will be much better, like a chimney. Most of our houses are brick, but now the demand has gone to wood, modular. A cordless drill is a thing, but you can't always charge the battery in the forest and it is afraid of water
A few years ago, we made a swing between the trees in the forest. We used a 1.57" x 18.11" auger. We drilled a hole through and through in one tree, and drilled a hole about 10" deep in another. We cut a branch the thickness of the drill and hammered it in.
Pipe looks pretty smashed. Could have filled it with water and froze it before they bent it and it would still be round.
Tell me how you freeze a straight pipe 2 meters long?
@@addforging You could wait until it's freezing outside and use 1 endcap and fill it with water and stand it up, or you could fill it with fine salt and bend it. Having it smashed like that will really decrease the flow.
Thanks for the video. It is very likely that I will use this solution, but to make a coil I will first fill the tube with fine sand (it is really long), and will make coils with the help of arch and lever benders. Another thing is if the tube is flattened intentionally. I had an unreleased idea to reduce turbulence losses by first observing the shape of a free-falling water jet of the same initial diameter as the pipe, and finding by experimentation the periodicity of the jet nodes and giving the coil channel an oval in cross-section and a spiral shape along its length with the periodicity of these observed nodes in the free-falling jet cross-section. Unfortunately I do not have access to software for modeling the behavior of water flow in the tube, but intuition tells me that the turbulence losses are higher than the resistance difference between the oval and circular cross sections. Laminar flow should increase flow velocity and thermal energy transfer efficiency.
Parabéns ficou perfeita ❤

Use kiln dried sand, brush it so its evenly covering the slabs, then put your vibrating whacker plate over the patio one last time till the sand migates through the joints. No need for this silly gimmick.
Still going backwards and forwards just like the broom.
If you used kiln dried sand instead of that moist sand and brushed it diagonally with the joints you would not have a problem.
I would have also used water .
