What the witch did is understandable, if nothing else. Everyone and everything she loved was destroyed, while she was raped and enslaved. How many wouldn't take the chance to take out the person who did that to them if they could? All that death and pain, just for Dany's ambitions.

By the way the actor for Dumbledore died after filming this film. The rest of the films have Michael Gambon as Dumbledore.

I'm not gonna lie....when I first saw the basilisk in this movie, I had the same reaction Ron had with Aragog. (side note: I am NOT fearful of snakes or spiders). Also, every time I hear Hermione say "She's a little sensitive" to describe Moaning Myrtle, I always have the same first thought: A LITTLE sensitive?" Side note: I always have the thought of "Harry's lucky Fawkes clawed out the Basilisk's eyes, otherwise that rock trick in the tunnel wouldn't have worked at all, combined with "Don't you dare sneeze, Harry"

HP is a saga. In Diagon Alley they left out 2 important scenes. *1.* Harry gave all those free Lockhart books to Ginny and bought another set for himself because he knew the Weasleys would find it hard to buy 5 sets of expensive Lockhart books. *2.* When Lucius Malfoy and Me. Weasley confronted each other in the book shop they got into an actual fist fight that Hagrid had to break up...abd Mr. Weasley fixed Harry's glasses not Hermione. It's pretty much impossible to repair a wand. You have to buy a new one. That's why they snap your wand in half if you're convicted of a crime. They also broke Hagrid's wand when he was expelled from Hogwarts at 13. Malfoy may have a faster broom but he doesn't have Harry's talent at Quidditch.

If you check out Harry's clothes at the start of the film, they are ill-fitting. It's because the Dursleys refuse to waste a penny on Harry. So, Harry's left wearing Dudley's hand-me-downs and using tape to hold his broken glasses together rather than get them properly repaired or replaced. Good catch on Verne Troyer [RIP] playing the goblin Griphook! The voice is provided by Warwick Davis, who plays the bank teller they approach entering the bank and also the aged Professor Flitwick who teaches levitation. (In later filming, the makeup gets a considerable upgrade, making Professor Flitwick look much younger.) Griphook makes another appearance late in the franchise and is played by Warwick Davis. Hagrid looks so big because he's a half-giant. Giants are related to trolls, so they are not a lot smarter and a lot bigger, on average standing 20 feet tall. Most half-giants run about 10 feet in height, but Hagrid's wizard father was very short statured, so Hagrid is only about 8 foot. Hagrid inherited his father's magic capacity and enough intelligence to read (and spell badly); he also inherited his father's kind heart. While there are a few uncomfortable, disruptive, or even deadly diseases wizards/witches are prone to, they are not common, and research goes on for potions or spells to ward off or stop them. -Wizards/witches enjoy greater longevity than muggles. The average lifespan for a muggle is about 75 years; for wizards/witches it's 150 years. -Wizards/witches may be resistant to natural injuries, but injuries arising from magical cause are a different matter. There is no guarantee of healing, there will be scarring, and there can also be loss of use or attachment of body parts. Harry's lightning bolt scar is the result of a curse. As the franchise goes on, you'll see other evidence of damage from intentional or accidental magic force. Quidditch is a sport invented by a female writer who doesn't follow sports. She invented a game that gives you a sense of what sports looks like to someone who doesn't understand sports or their rules. What does come across about quidditch is how there's almost a 'ballet' effect of players guarding the goal, players attempting to score, players obstructing the opposition roughly, and yet the length of play is determined by a 'seeker' on each team. There are no breaks for any reason, including weather, and length of play can be mere minutes or stretch out for days. The golden snitch awards 150 points, but the seeker needs to stay aware not only of players (especially the abusive players) but also whether your team's points when added to 150 points for catching the snitch will run you over or under the opposing team's score. If Team A has racked up 180 points and Team B racks up 20 points, Team B won't want to catch the snitch until the score increases to an advantage. Catching the snitch ends the game, and Team B's 20+150=170 points means losing to Team A's 180 points. John Williams scored the first three films and subsequent scores incorporated the music in later films. The Ministry of Magic underwrites most of the expenses of schooling: dormitories, linens, meals, staff, major expenses and supplies. The franchise is spaced out by school year, just like the books. So, the first film they begin the year at 11 years old, the second film they're 12, and so on. Note: Hermione's birthday is in September (the character is the oldest, the actress is the youngest), Ron's is in March, and Harry's is July 31st. (Neville's is July 30th). Please note: The Houses are based on specific values, not skills or characteristics. If you google the Houses, they will tell you what the core values of each House are. And Slytherin is not the 'evil House'; it's just that the core values of Slytherin House make one prone to cutting corners and making bad decisions. For most Slytherins, it's the results that are important, not the means. But wise Slytherins come to understand the means can impact and skew the results. Ron's statement that "There's not a witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin"; actually, Professor Quirrell was a Ravenclaw. If it was skills or characteristics that set which House you were in, Hermione would be in Ravenclaw instead of Gryffindor. But she tells Harry, "Books and cleverness. There are more important things: friendship and bravery"; friendship, loyalty, courage are all Gryffindor core values. Chris Columbus directed the first two films of the franchise; it's said he is particularly good at directing children, and reports back from the kids is that they really loved working with him.

Watching this movie in retrospect makes you appreciate just how unflinching all the best Marvel movies are when it comes to character portrayal.

Time to get into the mcu

Funnily enough, in the middle ages and earlier your life expectency was higher than today as long as you made it past like 15. Obviously before you're 15 your immune system isnt up to scratch and without medicine that makes your chances of survival slim. Hence why the overall life expectency is much lower. But if you made it to adulthood youd live slightly longer than today, they didnt have ballanced diets or modern medicines but they didnt have plastic and cancer causing pathogens in their bloodstreams
