She looks in lovely condition - I assume that won’t be the case at the end of the patrol!
Nice to see her come in from different view points. Right at the beginning the water was extremely flat. Will we get to see her leave with the pink funnel?

I always wonder what the white barn/hangar type thing on the back is for.
The white hangar is a storage structure used to protect valuable equipment onboard the ship.
Thanks for answering my question. I don’t want to sound stupid, but why is the hangar white and not the same colour as the rest of the ship?

the De Zeven Provinciën class is one of best designed frigates by far . . . the design exudes a sense of unified completeness . . .

F***** Hell I cannot believe that I worked on these boats when I was based at FASLANE (NTD), now 25 YEARS AGO!! Still no efforts being made to replace?? Never was a Submariner but worked in Mixed Manning, Civvy Shipwrights (mostly ex John Browns etc) & RN Shipwright Artificers. Was There 1990 - 2000 and worked on Polaris, Hunter Killers, Conventional and Surface Ships as well as Trident.
Yes the Dreadnought class will replace them.
@@whatthomassaw….1969, saw the Dreadnaught sub under refit at Rosyth. Worked on the four Reso class.

@@kennethgarland4712….I witnessed the first time the sub badges were pinned to naval personnel. The sub was Resolution the men who recieved them were mighty proud. I wasn't naval but was glad i saw it.

As someone has already mentioned it - the owner must have loved his dog a great deal to have a statue of it on the bow and I presume name the vessel after it. Oh how the other half live eh....? Another great watch thanks Thomas.

Interesting video. I hope they manage to complete the restoration but would imagine that it will require a large amount of money. I believe she spent some time in London and Tilbury some years ago.
Yes Queen Mary was towed from Tilbury to Greenock back in 2016. Princess Anne is the ships Royal Patron and she continues to support the project.

Sailing out of the Clyde one day kept getting Shepherded by the Mod Plod Boat for no apparent reason, then out of nowhere a Trafalger Class appeared silent stealthy they certainly are even on the surface!
