slime knight was my fave monster to recruit. they can equip most hand me down gear to keep them relevant and they get a bunch of useful healing magic. them and a yeti basically carried me through my whole playthrough.

This is probably my personal favorite. Because it led to the Dragon Quest Monsters series.

I've never played this game because it was never brought over to the states. A lot of people say it's the best in the franchise (others say 3, 4, or 8 are the best).

Those stiletto earrings Alena uses are like this game's equivalent of the metal blade from Mega Man 2. You do a TON of critical hits, even on Necrosaro.

The Demonites can't actually use sacrifice or any of the other spells because they don't have enough MP. Kind of just a troll by the developers.

The first time I played through this game I kept getting killed by Balzack because I didn't realize you were supposed to weaken him with the sphere of silence. I felt pretty stupid when I figured out what I was doing wrong lol.

The "basket full of" (mod) gear that you don't use (I only use the visual stuff), is also sellable if you want an easy thousand gold or so.

I forgot that you can get soft locked in that cave. I wonder if that was intentional or an oversight.

Taloon's chapter is so tedious and boring. Worst of the 5 chapters by far.

When your playing by yourself It looks like turns go ALOT Faster. My LP is with friends and we take an ungodly long time to do turns. After ep 30 I just started Cutting out most of the fight sceens unless something interesting happens lol.

Your Voice is REAL Quiet and there is ALOT of "Dead Air". Come on youve got to tell us what you are thinking about and comment on the things you are seeing.

While on the NES version the tower/crown quest is 100% optional on the Remakes its required since it order to beat Kandar the 2nd time in the cave SW of Dharma temple in the remakes he ONLY shows up in that cave IF you beat him here.

About that I'll only play the DS remake of it and as long as you chose 1 of BOTH mages the Thief class is doable at lv 8 to lv 10 AS long as you reach that HEALING point BEFORE you die then use that healing spot to hit lv 13 to lv 15. AFTER that lv the cave sucks for exp and your better off killing the weakest metal slimes via the tower North of Dharma temple ITSELF.

In hindsight you probably should have leveled up a bit more before attempting that cave. It is fairly brutal.

Even on the remakes unless you need gold early on the monster arena battles are NOT worth it.

You realize why you died in the tower with the main hero? You didn’t use the Parry/fight technique
