I'm looking for a universal remote but I would never pay an installer. Too bad, the AVA looks nice.
Lutron retrofit with ra3
👍🏽
Great content. Need one of these for lighting!
We have one in the works 👍🏽
My entire 3,300 sq home is automated. I use home assistant and respectfully what control 4 is doing isn’t really “automation” not saying control 4 can’t do more advanced tasks, but you never see control 4 do more advanced tasks in tour videos. Ex what what I’m talking When I walk into rooms the lights just turn on. when I walk out of the room, they turn off . At night when I arm the alarm it shuts off all lights, locks all doors, shut off any tv or music and turns certain lights red so people in the home know the alarm is active. When when I pull up to the home, the garage door automatically opens. I don’t have to do a thing. When washer/dryer is done I get an announcement through the whole house speakers. Even the ones I listed I wouldn’t say that they are complicated automations. My whole home automation cost somewhere around 10k to 15k . For a control 4 it’s like 50k 😂 anyway just curious why don’t we ever see control 4 do more advanced automations?
It’s a great question and we will be happy to answer it. On this specific project that you commented on, we did very little custom programming because it’s a spec home and we create all custom programming based on clients lifestyle and selections. Once we meet the new home owner we turn over the system and will go over automation options. We do have some videos that show automation and custom programming more in detail go check them out. in some cases we shoot the videos during the installation process so not everything is completed by the time it makes it to TH-cam. We handle all custom programming once the system is completed. Also Content creation is a lot harder and more time consuming than some people think. game planning, creating entertaining, educational and still valuable while pleasing everyone is hard 😂 however your feedback is appreciated, will make sure to show more of that on future videos. 😉 Our goal is to always improve as a business and now that we are doing TH-cam we are focusing attention to doing the same with our content. We will get better and better as we go, we promise. Thanks for watching and hope that answered your questions.
Can you do this with a iPad or some the controls seem laggy when using the tablet
Yes this can be done with an iPad however you lose the intercoms features. Thanks for watching
Why not use Q-SYS for this kind of commercial installation?
We went with IP controlled 70V amps from episode To keep everything online. This also give us the options to adjust and troubleshoot remotely. (also have a budget we had to work with and It’s a lot of separate zones of audio so we also didn’t need Big amps.) Thanks for watching
Excellent build. Im a control4 dealer and have a quick question. You have distributed video in this install however I didn't see a video matrix?
Thanks!!! In this project it’s not really distributed video. We are using the HD zone out of the AVR to send the same source to 2 locations. If video distribution is needed then we do binary or av pro edge . Either matrix or Moip. (Just depends on the project and budget) Thanks for watching and engaging with the content.. it’s appreciated Have a great one
The title says smart home not really seeing anything smart here.
🤔 …/
In ceiling speakers sound horrible , really wish people would stop doing this. Then to make matters worse it’s in a very large room with a lot of hard surfaces and you get a really terrible echo. Same goes for putting your TV above the fireplace no one likes to look up to watch tv.
There is better options for speakers but they definitely don’t sound horrible.. (well some of the really cheap stuff does but it’s rear) In the Tv. Different strokes for different folks 🤷. 😂 Thanks for watching
@empireavservices well sound is subjective .
Hey "BRO" 7500 is not audiophile. Good speakers Shiet amp. Trash Phono. This guy sells to know nothing rappers sounds like.
Hey bro thanks for watching and your comment.. it helps the analytics. Have great one.
I am SURELY INTERESTED IN THESE BUT: Very apprehensive to BUY B4 I CAN HEAR-in MY space!! As for those “others” that are more concerned w aesthetics….so be it! Maybe a good set of phones would work as well, THEN YA CAN SHOW OFF YOUR NEW COUCH-CABINET-magazine rack?!?😂 As for ME~it’s ALL ABOUT THE SOUND! Furniture 2 aesthetics be DAMNDED man….I want the❤️QUALITY🎶SOUND (all) A R O U N D ‼️ Thank You for “listening!” 😎
Thanks for watching. Hard to get them in your space without buying them but you can definitely listen to them. Magnolia inside of some Best Buy may have them as a demo. If you get them let us know what you think..
Speaker placement. The reason ill stop watcing any longer. Sorry but someone is wasting the sound. About 80% is wasted. Martinlogans need space. A lot and palcement to a millimeter. That aint it. Sorry.
Thanks for your input. Unfortunately we couldn’t make the room any bigger and the client didn’t let us angle set up towards the seating area. “Guy’s this is the corner my wife set for it please make it work” In a lot of cases client prefer esthetics over acoustics. Regardless of your comment and your thoughts. They still sound amazing And client was happy. Thanks for watching
When I see system placement in some rooms it makes me shake my head in disbelief that this would be a so-called pro review. Terrible…
We agree is It the best placement or spacing however this is what we had to work with. regardless of you being in disbelief the system still sounds amazing and client is happy.. Please understand that the client will always win and in some cases people Prefer esthetics over acoustics. Either way thanks for clicking!!! Maybe on a home automation video you’ll change your mind Have a great one
Subbed. Super cool ty
Thanks 🙌🙌
All that money and you can't spend a few bucks on a new battery 🔋 for the smoke detector
🤦♂️
We have had so many problems with sonos and their apps and their whole system and integration with control4 and audio distribution. We have taken out all of the sonos amps and replaced with episodes. So much better in regard to control and routing…
We don’t integrate Sonos with c4 (if anything just for volume but we always make it clear to our clients that the integrated is limited) we design everything with triad matrix/amps or episode .. if we use Sonos is for a home that only has home audio and the client is requesting it. if it’s linked with other smart devices, we integrate Josh.ai. Thanks for watching
Electric salt is kinda cool. Get the flavor without the Blood Pressure
All the zapping can’t be good for the heart 😂…
Thanks for update it was a great effort,
6th ces for us but first time shooting content. It only gets better and better! Thanks for watching…
Good stuff, keep the videos coming!
Thanks for watching! 🙏 One more posted and one more on the way!
Hi! I have a question for you. What TV brand and model or anything that I can get to have a split screen TV (multiple viewing experiences about 6 games playing simultaneously) ?
We could be wrong on this but we don’t believe there is a display that has those features built in. (there is some TVs that allow 4 but we will have to more research on 6 inputs There is way to accomplish that with components, media over IP and/or matrixes but don’t know of a single device. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
Love the concept. Maybe put a fingerprint sensor in it so it can register different users automatically and select their preferences
🤔 you might be on to something but biometric reader will also increase cost..
Very cool. Needs physical buttons - you shouldn't have to look at your remote.
The most common used commands have buttons. Everything else it’s on the screen. If you look at the new Samsung and tv remotes the removed all the extra buttons. Thanks for watching
@@empireavservices I have one of the new samsung TV remotes - switched back to my Harmony One.
Not saying anything is wrong with buttons, just saying companies are minimizing the size and amount of buttons they put on remotes.. Harmony created some really good remotes for a great price..
3:42 so his go to answer to "what sets this apart from other remotes" it looks nice smfh. Not 1200 nice
Why do you call it "home automation" instead of "custom integration"?
We use the term ‘home automation’ because it’s more recognizable and understandable to the general public. While ‘custom integration’ is technically accurate for what we do, most people searching for services like ours are familiar with terms like ‘smart homes’ or ‘home automation.’ It’s all about making the technology and its benefits more accessible to everyone! Thanks for watching
WHY did you find it necessary to throw in that background music. F'n annoying. Won't even hit like on this one although the content is good.
Nice housw But who cares about speakers in the walls an sillings
Usually Audio people care about speakers.. yes it’s a beautiful. Thanks for watching
This particular client did. And also…Serious entertaining always involves a serious audio presence.
We enabled the option to arm our security alarm (and part arm). We did not enable the disarm function. It felt like a major security risk. Cool that the option is there but disarm is a no for me
It works like an extra security keypad, You still need the code to disarm it. Thanks for watching…
A lawwwt of 😩
😁
Hi man would you send me some. Bitcoins iam a poor kid in cammerun, iam using wire headphones and I want buy a 9,5$ Bluetooth airphons for my poor Samsung a04 to watch more of your video 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢please
😔
@empireavservices thank you for your answer 🥲🥲
Do you have to have c4 and josh ai for automation or what?
No Josh can be used as a stand alone system. Check out this video… th-cam.com/video/Sgltx8SCBXM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UMNyJNQdFS29pkXb Thanks for watching
Those cables in the server seems short
The coax will stay in the can, There is extra cat and audio cables in the wall that lead to the bottom opening that had enough slack to reach the rack. Thanks for watching
How tall are you? Just trying to understand the relationship of the floor to ceiling.
Hi we are new into the business of home automation wanted to know about the proccess how to learn about control4 can you guide us a bit
Control4 training and certification is all done directly with control4. you will still need the AV knowledge om how to swt things up, C4 will just a allow you to control them from 1 place via (iR, IP, Relays, Contact and serial) hope that helps.
Just did 2 75” TVs w a wall controller and I am struggling to not get pissed at cross signal. How will this help me.
Individual IP or IR control instead of the same IR signal being blasted to TVs at the same time. Hope that helps.
I do have a question regarding pay, I'm asking for a friend. Total experience: 8 years Programming experience: Control4 really good, Crestron beginer and Savant medium level, builds really thought out racks and labels everything, bilingual, tries to pre-program as much as possible so time at site is minimized. Lutron experience: Programs Homeworks QSX, knows wiring rules and best practices, Ra3 systems as well and the rest of the lutron line such as Ra2 select, casseta, except the commercial stuff. Lutron shades: wired, wireless, wire free, Palladiom, Sivoia QS and thriathlon. Really good at designing systems and estimating. Experience in walking projects with homeowners to design from the ground up, also manages installations ranging from 3000 sft to 30000 sft. And I'm probably missing a lot more skills and knowledge. Thanks in andavance for the response
I would have been more interested in seeing the centralized lighting control panel than the view, but maybe that's just me.
Trying to find the sweet balance between AV and entertainment… some videos are a little more for the techs and some are for everyone. Thanks for watching
@@empireavservices Understood. You can't make all of the people happy all of the time. Heck, let's face it, if you can make a few people watching TH-cam moderately pleased occasionally, you're doing well.
We are trying but it’s hard 😓.. 😂 We appreciate you running in.. centralized projects are one the way 👍
Tv too high. Do they have long necks
Very little sit down Tv watching happening in this room if that makes it any better. It’s really the only to put a tv in this room or where else can we put one? Thanks for watching
Agreed. Poorly designed room honestly. TV above fireplace is terrible for ergonomics, our necks and overall viewing experience. Not the uploaders fault, but whoever designed the layout.
@@empireavservicesGood evening sir could you be so kind as to share with us the city and state where this house is please?Usually a realtor or when people show house they mention the city and or state or both.
10 million 🤔
That's a DOPE house.
Is there a reason you used a ring doorbell with the system you put in? Perhaps a chime to integrate into the system or DS2? Nice setup! Keep em coming!
We didn’t wire this home, Client reach out to us during the trim stages and wasn’t wired for doorbell. We tried adding one but he said he didn’t care for having one since to access his property you had to get through the gate… Once he moved in he wanted to add something at the door but didn’t want to cut walls to get a wire there. We always recommend at least a chime or a ds2 mini but You probably know how that goes. “Hey I know I told you no but……” 😂 Thanks for watching
They have TWO pools? Nice✅
I guess you can say that.. more like different levels or floors. 🙌🙌 Thanks you for watching!
That's a really nice house, huge house.
It’s a big one!!! Thanks for watching
One word...AMAZING! Great work
Thank you!!!! We appreciate you watching. Have a great one
Back of the rack is okay on wire management 4" vertical lacing would help clean that up a bit more, overall its decent. definitely can tell things were planned to be in certain spots but then the locations have changed. If you want them to be perfect a termination rack on the wall for everything then build the rack offsite and plugging it into the term rack will elevate the cable management. (probably a 12u on wall rack would be sufficient for you) Good on your for showing it though most people will only show the front. We do a term rack and offsite build and that's usually the first thing ill show a client in their house, and they show their friends who have a similar system just to flex on em. You can also use the split system as a sales tactic since all their expensive equipment can be unplugged and the rack wrapped out and wheeled out the house over to the new property.
Thanks for your comment.
Do you have a website or contact info for those interested in a term rack and offsite build?
Good video, we love control4 too!
Thank you!!! It’s a complete system. Just like every brand they all have a few things that could be fixed or improved but over all. We love it.
...... the Fn background noise
👍
oh you'll be back for the rest of their life in the home with repairs on control4. you should make a video of the back of the racks and see what your work looks like behind the brains of cancer you sold them,.
Wow my guy, you really make time to leave a negative comment on every post 😂. It’s ok we appreciate the views And no worries stay tuned for our next walkthrough video, we show the back of the rack just for you. 😉
I'm sorry but there are just too many things to go wrong with these houses. I live in one and it's a pain.
I totally get how much of a pain it can be when things don’t work as they should. With smart homes, there are electronics involved, so some issues can pop up every now and then, but it shouldn’t be a regular thing. Sometimes it’s not even the control system itself-it could be things like settings, software updates, new devices added to your network, or even how the system was originally set up. The age of the system can also make a difference. If you’ve got a Control4 system installed within the last five years and it’s giving you constant trouble, I’d recommend writing down the issues and reaching out to another local Control4 integrator for a second opinion or a system check-up. Thanks again for watching, and I hope this helps!
@@empireavservices One problem is that when the power fails, everything has to be reset.
Adding an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) in the rack for your network and control system will keep that equipment from resetting when you have outages. You can also have them set static IP addresses for all of the equipment so you never have to reset it. (certain devices you have to manually power once if there’s a outage so we can get back on the network) Hope this helps
Lord comes in our hearts and homes also. AMEN
🙌
Ut the awful background noise made it impossible to watch all the way through. 👎🏼
Thanks.. we made a lot of changes and improvements to our content weekly. Check out the last video, we’ve taken all the feedback on music and music selection and implemented into our editing. 👍
