Do you need the heated settings on for the humidifier to work?

I set my tube heat to 0 and I set my humidifier to 1 and I run out of water in the middle of the night anbd the unit gets hot and I smell fumes. How do I fix this?

AGRRR! is he saying we get a stuffy nose because there is too much humidity? (4:26) isn't it jst the opposite? i mean, i seem to be more congested when air is too dry not too moist? i have always thought all the extra air in a CPAP dries our nose and we balance this by increasing the climate setting for more humidity? i am totally discombobulated (i usually am) if someone could pse explain this i would appreciate it immensely - a house has to fall on me before i see it

Great but how do I adjust the major parameters--like pressure, how many strokes per minute, etc? I don't see those options at all.

My machine has been recalled. I was supposed to get a new one in 6 mths. It's been 9 months. I'm calling and they say soon I'll get one. Now I know why I can't adjust this humidity setting , since I watched your video. I need to get the doctor to change my settings. Ugh, I'm sneezing a lot. My nose is dry. Thanks for your video!!! To see my Doctor is an ordeal but he is a very good doctor. UCLA over tasks everyone on their payroll janitorial to professor to surgeons so I understand. There is no time made available to train a patient on the machine use. This is a long way around to tell you I really appreciate your efforts.

Thank you so much for that simple explanation and demonstration. I really appreciate you helping people like me who have so much problems managing the humidifier settings and levels. Please do a video on adjusting the pressure control. I have problems with too much air coming from the machine and this disturb my sleep. I uses the nasal pillows mask. I also suffer with insomnia which makes it very difficult for me to fall back off to sleep.

I see that you've posted this video last Nov 2020. It's Feb 2021 now. I have a DreamStation I got within the past year. Mine does not have this Humidification setting. I tried, I looked all over, your instructions plus just fiddling with it myself to see if maybe the setting was located elsewhere. Just could not find it for the life of me. So I'm thinking that you've got an older machine there. in TH-cam there are other videos about this setting and they were posted in 2015 or 2016. When did you create this video???
