the freaking bots are trash . now they are AFK in the game 2nd people cant join due to BOTS. devs are kinda not thinking here going full bonkers

Comp mode has bots. They will even change the bots difficulty mid game. This game is hot diarrhea

This is not even my problem. I'm fine with full enemy bots. My problem are the afk bots.

This is such a mess. At the beginning, I didn't care about bots in quick matches. Actually, I liked playing vs. bots in practice matches to learn how to play heroes-it was kind of fun. But now, I just can't enjoy the game at all. In competitive matches, I get smashed every time with almost brain-dead teammates. In quick matches, there are bots in half of the matches, even when I lose a simple match. I feel like I wasted my money buying the luxury pass.

I mean I agree but I don't see the point in getting mad about it sure it's kinda pointless but you can always use it as a way to fuck around with a hero you've never touched and goof around it's a video game where you're meant to have fun. How you have fun with the material provided is up to you and if you don't find it fun to play against bots then play ranked cause like you said you won't improve in quickplay so you're still likely to be bad then in ranked and stay in lower ranked lobbies where the sweats aren't as prevalent

The sad part is that Netease has copied this bot bit from Call Of Duty and Overwatch. Granted it should be there but only that it should be a selectable feature

the combat is actually detailed and has tons of mechanics, but u can easily go with avoiding it too, and not know half the stuff u can do bcos u didnt pay attention, the only thing is it is not particularly challenging in the current state, but i agree that is no issue for this game

I finally got around to being able to play Rivals an immediately felt the same way. Also, I swear to god there is something messing with sensitivity in the game. It feels almost literally impossible to land a hit with a certtain hero sometimes an then other times it feels like the bullets are magnetized. I felt like I was going crazy seeing this so I ran an experiment. With other games that have aim assist on controller, you can actually see your reticle move. That's not the case for rivals. I also recorded sessons of gameplay at the same settings on watched it back, using MnK, the distance you would move per mouse turn changed drastically. Even used rewasd an maped the centimeters of mouse movement to a key so I knew they'd be exact for the test. There is jus too much going on behind the scenes that make the game feel weird. I'm jus gonna go back to playing The FInals. Much better game in every way

This sucks to learn about. Nearly ruins QP for me. Here's how I will cope: If i notice im in a bot lobby, I will choose a character I am still learning to play so I can learn without feeling like I'm hurting the teams performance.

I was literally talking about this last weekend and i was saying that we don't realise it yet, but we are at a tipping point with AI that soon we will never truly know if we are playing against players or AI. I mean clearly in this game, the bots are not refined enough, but it's getting close. What a scummy business practice though. It's something having the option to play against AI, but hiding AI in a game mode where you assume you are only playing against other player is really bad for the players

It's a digital action figure simulator using probably the most popular IP in the world where every character has the recognition and marketing built-in on the scale of a D-Va or Jinx. Heck at least we've seen some of the most obscure characters like Forge and The Spot animated. Even with just the illusion of competition, this game will grow as it's roster grows.

I want to go up against actual players in Quick Match/casual. Not bots. We have Vs. AI for fighting bots. I encountered obvious bots when I played Magneto in Quick Match on the steam version of Rivals. I can’t help but feel robbed of an actual good match and a video I could’ve made trying him out. I doubt NetEase will change eomm, or acknowledge players outcry about it.

I report every bot int he bot lobbies for cheating or anytbing really and just comment "stop bot lobbies now"

This just happened to me today. I started playing MR last week and it's really fun, I like the game. I've been playing FPS's and hero shooters for a very long time now so I got the hang of the heroes I liked the best pretty quickly, but I play on console so I always struggled a bit against skillful PC opponents. So today I was warming up for competitive in some Doom matches and I got 20/0 two times in a row - and I thought it was strange, so I noticed that everyone except 2 players were bots, both from PC and consoles, all between levels 1-10. That made me feel so bad that I stopped playing for the day and am considering dropping the game, it just isn't the same and sucks all the fun and human element out of it. Hope they remove this soon, if ever.

I read that title and thought exactly the same. They dont even tell you about this and theres no way to opt out of it. Its just a scummy tactic to get you to play longer by giving you a free win after 2 loses in a row. At least if they were honest about it..

The bot matches really just expose marvel rivals as what it is: not a very serious game. It's fun, I'll grant it that, it's like a shiny new toy we get after years of coal, but the honeymoon period is starting to wear off and, as you begin to notice how much less complexity and depth there is to the gameplay, you realize this is really just a pretty fun casual game that's designed to make you feel good and maybe buy some skins, not something to spend hundreds of hours mastering characters and climbing in competitive.

I play practice vs ai to warmup and one of those matches had the entire bot team with names instead of "Hero-hard" name

Quick play training any way kids play this game adult's take this game way to seriously look at tim the tat got let the main audience play the game to which is kid's

Explains anytime I playe Spider-Man against real people I can sneak up on them but with Ai seems like if you get withing a certain distance they automatically lock on to you

Game is rigged with EOMM in both ranked and quickplay that's why you are either stomping or getting stomped, the game changes damage output, hitboxes and health regeneration to give you a win or a loss. It's all different algorithm to keep the player on a 50-55% win rate. Its not only the bots, they are literally controlling every game through EOMM
