Girl I worked there in 2018. Very haunted and glass breaks daily in the bars. Ask anyone who’s worked there.

I was at the Whaley house Feb. 12 2020. Yes they still go to the church but not inside. Then to the Whaley house. Then to the Campo Sa to cemetery. Then board the shuttle bus to a short trip to Prospect cemetery. A cemetery with a school built on top of it. I also went to the Whaley house during the day. My experience was while I was seated alone in the theater. A strong smell of cigar smoke was blown into my face. It only lasted a few seconds and the smell disappeared. The hostess said that Mr. Whaley smoked cigars regularly and would go upstairs to smoke because Mrs. WHALEY frowned on him smoking. Also a girl heard a baby crying that same day. No babies present.

I worked there for about 12 years, I think I left around 2002 or so. I was a grill cook. A very cool place to work, and I will say I had some very creepy experiences there myself, as did just about every employee who worked there for any length of time. Mostly, I think the spirits or whatever they were were not really threatening, but they did seem to enjoy scaring me from time to time. I am NOT the sort of person who really wants to see ghosts, just the opposite. Most of my experiences happened late in the morning. Like I said, I was a grill cook at The Noodle, but some of us would also do extra work for extra money. Hal didn't really wanna trust an outside commercial cleaner to come in and clean over night, so some of the employees would do it. I remember having to go into the basement for things and feeling like I was being watched, or I'd be cleaning the floor and suddenly hear someone whisper something in my ear. Stuff like that. One night I was cleaning the floor in the long hallway between the two buildings and I heard a loud sound, like something hitting the floor. I walked into the game room, and the running mats I had rolled up and neatly piled on the table in the game room were laying just outside the room as if they'd been picked up and tossed. Another time I was mopping the floor, and as I turned around, all the lights in the hall went off, then started coming back on, starting at the far end and coming to me. This kind of stuff happened a lot, scared the hell out of me and I would basically just say " ok ya got me guys, can you please let me get back to work?" And they would seem to just leave me alone the rest of the night. I would get the impression when I said that, that they were playing with me. Sometimes after that, I'd get the feeling that they were having a laugh and just letting me know they were around.It kinda became a routine thing, but it always did freak me out a bit. the thing with the lights really got to me that time, and I remember pleading with them to take it easy on me because I was afraid I was gonna have a heart attack Lol. It was a great experience working there though, inspite of the occasional scare, I must say. great people running it and working there, and a colorful clientele and haunts. And I once got to cook a burger for Matt " Guitar" Murphy.

Could not finish watching. Maybe just hit the highlights of the haunting and not spend the first two minutes covering the very boring history of the establishment.

I worked on the remodel. The elevators were 100% replaced and they still roam.

hey Alex :) So, I've definitely heard stories before about the Congress Hotel, and I'm intrigued for sure.I'm deeply fascinated and drawn to all things paranormal but to be honest (and I swear I'm not trying to flirt lol) your voice and calm narration voice is a pretty welcome difference from most "ghost hunting" videos I've seen.I'm from Phoenix, but have lived in Fargo, ND for the last 10 1/2 years, but even up here there are some "hot spots" that I feel are all worth checking out, including the apartment building I live in. Anyway, hope to see some new vids soon! 🤘🏻👻

As a kid I used to wander around the outside. We would head to the right up a tiny hill and down again, then up a side stairway and into a beautiful courtyard. Sadly, they are turning the exterior surrounding the hotel into beachfront property, as if there isn't enough of that over there.

Hi! Thanks so much for sharing your story! I went to the Whaley House yesterday. I had seen it on TV years ago but had forgotten the history/story of it. I just knew/remembered it was haunted by the name of it. So I guess you could say we ended up there by accident and stumbled upon it. I was ALL ABOUT taking the tour! So excited! They only had self guided tours yesterday, so we paid the $8 and went in. I was trying to read as much about the history before hand so I had an idea of what each room had in store. I LOVE reading about the history of places and seeing all the old period decor etc. I loved hearing about your experience and was picturing my experience in each room you mentioned as you talked about them. I have to say, when you started talking about the theater room you had my FULL attention because I wanted to know if you had the same experience as I did! I knew very little, as I said. I was excited to see there was a woman/employee in that room talking about her experiences there and taking questions. Normally, I could sit there all day and listen to her tell her tales. However, I didn't last 2 minutes in that room. I came in and sat down in the back on the left hand side (left if you are facing the back wall from the stage) I started to listen to her talk about how she has had some experiences in that room. How she felt like she was being watched. And that sometimes, even if she leaves that room, the feeling will follow her downstairs. She said several psychics have confirmed that she is being watched/followed but that it doesn't scare her because she "knows who it is". ( I missed that part apparently) About that time, I tuned out because I started feeling incredibly nauseous and like I was going to pass out. The feeling came over me so fast that all I could think about was getting out of that room as fast as possible. I told my friend that we had to go right now. He was like "we just walked in" and I said "Lets go, Ill tell you in a minute". This feeling stayed with me until I left the room! As soon as I left that room, it started to go away. I was still sick to my stomach as we viewed the other rooms upstairs. We took a quick peek at the parlor room on the way out and left. Once I was outside, I was much better. That freaked me out! I know ghosts can make you feel that way and I was totally fine until I entered that room and sat down. (Just like you) My mouth dropped when you described almost the exact same thing. Also, on the way out I heard a child saying that he felt sick in that room as well. That it felt like someone was pushing his head down and he was dizzy. It makes you wonder if its maybe intentional somehow as an "experience" but I have no idea how they would pull that off. I would totally go back again and see if I felt the same way in that room. I also felt someone touch my shoulder in the courtroom, but blew it off as my imagination...until I heard someone say that was a common feeling in that room and that many others had felt that as well.
