I got mine from Collectible Aircraft Wongs Australia last week on eBay. They got their stock in so fast that I cancelled my reservation at scale model store. They were well priced too, especially if you use offers and discount coupons.

@@Melbaviation23 MyHobbyHouse, their in Malaysia. when on the website it won't show AUD but you can just google what it would be. The 737 was 50 AUD

Thanks! You can get Qantas A330-300s on eBay now I think, if you use discount codes and make offers below the asking price you should be able to get one under $100. You can get the pride is in the air A330-200 from JC wings directly (on eBay) for around $80 too. Qantas 787s are harder to come by now but if you check eBay and Facebook marketplace regularly you’ll find one eventually. Good luck!

Yeah they did 747 domestic legs every now and then back in the day. Haven’t seen it with the A380 before though.

Mine is pretty simple, just a couple of boards with textured paper glued to it. I’ve used polystyrene for the terminals. I’d recommend looking at some other model airports on TH-cam and insta that are more detailed than mine!

Thanks! Yeah I’ve had that thought before. It’s an old Dragon Wings model so haven’t tried to replace them yet. So JC sells landing gear?

@@Melbaviation23 i have had replacement parts from JC wings in the past. yes they have replacement parts that you can ask for a fee.

Thanks! I guess it depends what you want. Like do you want something specific for an airport/time period you’re collecting for or just want to collect models you like? Also since some models are rarer/sold out so it depends what’s readily available and what you’ll have to wait for to come up on the second hand market.

@Melbaviation23 Well my airport would be based in Australia, but I don't know where exactly, and I'd be international so Qantas narrow body and wide body along with Air New Zeland, Jet Star, maybe couple of Virgin Australia and the international airlines, so like BA, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, American Airlines etc... But I don't know where to start. Like do I go for the rarer models and spend more money, or do I secure the less rare models to get started, pay less and hope they re-release the rarer ones? (Sorry it's quite long but I think you're the best to help me)

So it’s pretty easy to get regular Qantas A330s, 787s and a380s now as well as Jetstar a321neo and VA 787 max so that would be a good place to start. Models that are rarer now (like the retro Roos) I bought opportunistically when they came on the second hand market at a decent price. Another comment here mentioned that a Qantas 737 will be released by phoenix soon so I’d get that when it comes out as my Gemini copy took ages to find.

The cathay a350 1000 by aviation400 is good and still in stores so that might be a good one. Also there’s a seller on eBay who sells really well priced JC wings models that I’d recommend.
