The BEST ATV Winch Under $70? | Polaris Sportsman, CAN AM, YAMAHA | Install Video
If you dug up a pit, it would be a lot more comfortable to work on the car.
Haha, 2x4s do the trick for now. But definitely
th-cam.com/video/KUVuqIEzwiw/w-d-xo.html Sir, ... VEVOR's claim to fame is their continuing theft of intellectual property of Good Americans, reproducing a patented product for pennies, just check how many times they been sued, china is our enemy... The Great Trump just took them off favored trade status so get your peggy boards while you can, that ... OR BUY AMERICAN
Just a tip on something that has a steel hood you can see when lifting the car. Try putting a magnetic level on the hood and once it is positioned and centered by bubble and location you can lift the car. Any variation in whether it is one side or the other going up evenly can be easily seen. I have a six-inch level that would work perfectly on the BMW.
The real problem with this is that for $1000 more you can get an 11,000 pound to post Lift from China, which of course is where this Lift comes from which I don’t have a problem with either way
For sure but they are each built for diff purposes. This is kinda the only setup that works for my shop because of the layout and limited space
Noooo not fake carbon 😔🙁
Only way to get the sunroof and carbon combo.
I have come to appreciate Vevor products. Price for what you get and the quality are what we used to have in America. Now it comes from China.
I use quickjacks for my E92 335 and you definitely want to pay attention when using these lifts. I used my QJ after a while and I pretty much forgot to check to see if it locked into place. After jacking up the car and then running out to do some errands, it hit me that I didn't hear the locks engage, so when i came back home, one side was slowly going down so I quickly connected the hoses and lowered them back down. But with lifts like these, it makes jobs so much easier.
Oof that’s scary! Thanks for bringing this up! I always lower the car so it sits on the lock point after it’s raised. To make sure everything is level. I recommend always doing this to never rely on hydraulics solely
Decent option to GJ's I guess. looks a little higher than my QJ7000's so getting something under the tires will be mandatory. Also looks to not raise as high as my QJ's at around 24 inches. I paid about the same as these I think. $1700 for the compete set but don't have the extensions. Those are another $100 I think. So again, decent option but I'd have to see more on the quality and longevity of them to say they're as good as QJ's.
First thing you should have done was bend those nails over on the lid
I like your thinking. I may have off camera
So u check the dipstick threaded all the way in... I assumed u check depth by butting up to threads while not screwing them in at all, at least my manuals have always said that on my go peds idk how bcuz it's the difference of a ton if it's 1 way & not the other vice versa idk sheeeit lol🖖🏽
I think you’re actually doing it the right way. I read that in the manual too after this video
Great video and review. I got these last summer from Amazon and the box it comes in as you have seen is massive. I kept it for my mother in laws coffin lol. I do like the price and the accessories that come with it although i do not use the extensions as even my 17 Suburban does not need them. I have used the jacks both Lenght wise and sideways. I would not use it that way if i had quickjacks due to the way the jacks lift and move forward when lifting. I use a Trailer unlock hook from a Tractor Trailer to move the units around as they are super heavy. Right now they are hanging on some very strong hooks for storage.
That’s awesome thanks for the tip on moving them around! And the coffin thing omg lol
I like the fact it lifts straight up, mu Quik jacks have an arch to them.
one big flaw is plastic in side rails sliding back an forth
I’m not sure what you’re referring to
hi your vídeo helped me a lot, just one question did you greased the splines of the drive shaft? I didn't have grease I used a bit of oil and WD-40 what you think
Hey I believe I did with blue marine grease the first time around. But I’d definitely not use wd40 because it’s technically not considered oil and can dry up. But you might be fine I also am not a pro when it comes to oil and don’t know much so take my advice with a grain of salt lol.
id like to se it on the truck as i would like to se how it does to know if i could use it on my wifes truck
It handles my f150 just fine which weighs in at 6040lbs at the scales. Also had a cybertruck on there recently which is right about 7000lbs. It did fine but I will admit it was a bit scary lol. I had cinder blocks just in case
I just posted a quick video with the cybertruck VEVOR 7000 LB Lift Update. Test at Full Capacity! th-cam.com/video/7zwCX4qFBik/w-d-xo.html
@@Buildcultureyoutube just ordered mine today and should be here in 2 weeks. this was the only lift i could find that was portable and lifts straight up.
@ awesome! you're going to love having them
@@Buildcultureyoutube thank you, you sold me on them as your video was the only one that showed what information i wanted to know. so thank you for that.
i found ones in facebook market place but i dont know if they are plug and play nither the seller
how can i make sure?
I’m not sure other than plugging them in and trying them yourself. You can try it without disassembly first, just need to reach in and get the plug. But be careful if disconnecting the airbag sensor to get the wire out. Might have to disconnect your battery first
Yep they don't waste oil , the older ones had oil ports directly into crank journals, now the bearings on the etec is a sealed greased bearing. They don't waste / use anywhere close to the amount of oil they used to . But thanks for the input ! Lol
Thanks bro, Had the same problem with the audio
As a BMW owner myself those lifts will come in handy for the dreaded oil pan gasket replacement lol
bro thank you I have been looking for a video like this for to long lol DO you really need winch? im just wondering like do you REALLY need
Yes you need a winch loll. How else will you pick it up?
@ I was going muscle it 😂
@JarridVlogs I’m just not sure if you know how it works. You need the winch for operation. Otherwise you’ll have no way to back up without spreading the snow all over the place again
Yeah I know lol I want to buy the snow plow and then get someone to put a winch on for me then I should be good
@JarridVlogs yeah def get a winch. One of my first vids was about how to install a winch but I no longer recommend cheaping out on the Walmart one. I had 2 of them and they both exploded on me while plowing. Get at least 3500lb, I have the OEM Polaris one now.
Nice that the vevor lift appears to lift straight up, I have the quick jacks and because of their design the car moves forward as the lift rises. Fine for most work, less so if you try to drop a transmission or subframe and want to use the lift to gain clearance. Plan your hose routing for the job, if you're doing oil changes or something under the front, set the pump and hoses to the rear so they aren't in the way of the creeper.
Using cleaner and air would work, but I would be concerned about the bearing behind that. Cleaner could get in that and flush out some grease, then how do you get grease back in that bearing. Also I think there is a seal on that bearing as well, depending on the year. Both sides have two outer bearings. I believe the inner bearings have grease as well, but also get oil, may depend on model and year. I have two questions. 1) How much is too much grease, and is there anything wrong with having grease between the two bearings? On the PTO side there is a large gap between the bearings, hardly any on the mag side. 2) I see someone mentioned the two pipes that have plastic caps on them. Where do those pipes go, and what can happen if one of those caps is missing? TIA
Thank you for the video ,I purchased today but is not coming down what I have to do?
I would see if you can stand on it and lower but I’m sure you’ve tried that. If that doesn’t work, only thing I can think of is maybe trying to drain the fluid out of each jack somehow.
Did you spray the bearing out with cleaner /then air 1st before you put the new grease in or just wipe it out?
I just wiped it out. My fear was I didn’t want any of the spray to still be stuck in there and affect lubrication
If the car is up in the air with the locks engaged on lift, can you disconnect the hydraulic hoses out the way?
Yes you can, I do it all the time
I just received my lift yesterday, men is heavy, thanks for the information!!
Para qué????.
Just watched this to see WTF I did wrong when my ramp disintegrated while backing off. Didn't have the straps tight enough and about a third of all the rivets in the whole thing broke off, pain in the ass to repair it.
Ah man, glad you found the cause though!
Depos v2 look more aggressive 😉these look more oem 🫡 all needs to code it.I’m done with BimmerCode 👍🏻
What brand?
Genuine scooter company
Good Stuff bro, appreciate the video
Thanks for watching brother!
what can i do if the jack is stuck on top with no load? I can't lower it.
I’m not sure I wish I could help. I don’t think you’re supposed to do that. Maybe see if you can drain the fluid somehow
Maybe while holding the lower button put some weights on the lift or push on it to help it sometimes they get stuck I’ve seen
Thanks for this vid. I took the plunge and bought thips plow (48") and plan to install on a Husquvarna 23hp riding lawn mower, LOL!!! Pretty sur eit can be done with some hacking/cutting and re-joinong of the push tube member abd mount it on the front of the frame along with a small winch to lift it ;) Will link a vid when i get it all done if thats ok with you!? Wasn't sure if it can handle the weight of this but i've hauled 1000lbs of rocks with this mower and chains... so i think its maybe go thte beans it needs! :) If ok with you, I"ll link a quick video here once the install is done!
Yes! I’d love to see that!
Great review! Just how heavy are we talking on each side? Just wondering how much of a pain it would be to move around
I think they’re 200lb each so maybe like 80-100lb of weight to lift?
lay blocks on their side
Very dangerous actually. Had a car slip slightly doing this. Best to stick to instructions.
How was the car lift delivered, why was it in the truck?
They couldn’t deliver it to my shop because it’s a tight entry. So I had to meet them at a nearby parking lot
It came in a big box truck with a lift gate
@@Buildcultureyoutube Thanks
Update: Since my below post I also bought & installed rubber flap (for top of blade), corner marker posts and 1 x side universal side wing (made it fit) and 2" PVC pipe on its cutter blade (to protect my gravel driveway). I also bought / installed a Snatch Block with 2" wheel (can also use 2.5" wheel version) - for its hoist steel cable. These upgrades are worth it as well....
Thank you for sharing!!
I bought / installed the same Kolpin 48-60 universal plow on my ATV 2011 Arctic Cat 550 TRV (2-Up). Instructions stated 45-60 minutes to assemble the blade. I started at 8:30 AM, had 1.5 hour lunch and completed at 2:30 PM. Yes. That long - with a large cup of coffee and my reading glasses. Retired people with bad knees/hips take longer time. smiles. For my ATV's under belly, I used 4 x U-Bolts and 2x2 hard wood spacers. And I cut off the tips of extra long U-Bolt threads as well. During its install I did add a few more flat washers and greased its swivel points. All installed "as it should" and very happy with its looks, with its ease of angle change and with its safety tilt ability. It's worth buying "on sale". Recommend this adjustable plow...
Were you able to fix the parking lamp malfunction?
No not yet. I didn’t try yet either tbh
buy bimmercode and Vpeak adapter, code in parking light LED and it will go away. (Also buy LED parkinglight if you are still on halogens).
😂😂
I have a lowered mustang and I have about 4" of clearance to the rockers. What is the height of the unit fully down without the blocks? Vevor gives a dimension of 6.5" But that is with the rubber blocks. I am looking for the height of the unit itself. Thanks!
You can use pieces of 2x4s instead of the robber blocks and it gives you another inch or two and also drive the car onto 2x10s before picking it up too. So it works with lowered cars like that
@@Buildcultureyoutube Awesome, thanks!
@@mpm32rocks of course! I have a lowered g80 M3 sitting on them right now and no issues
I did the "drive on blocks" thing with my lowered BMW 335 and my QuickJack setup. Will be even better with the Vevor since there won't be as much guessing where the blocks need to go upon setting the vehicle down. The travel arc of the QJ makes that an inexact science every time.
@GoFastGator oh yeah definitely a pro to the Vevor. Goes straight up no guessing
Water trick. Why not just use grease?
Sounds like a good idea too!
Water is cheaper tho
@@Buildcultureyoutube i actually use just one pump of grease from the gun and pops right off on my 22 Freeride turbo. Great Video !!!%
grease is messy and you dont want lube on the taper. gresae will compress water does not.
Could you make videos on you car more and how you got it to last this long
This one is actually pretty neglected and I did a lot of restoration to it to get all the errors cleared and for it to run right but I definitely will document the repairs and how to maintain it more. I did new timing chain and new suspension so far as well as the things mentioned in the vid.
What size plow is that?
48-60”
I have a 2014 bmw 328i x drive, will these work on my car? I’m looking to buy, also how long would you say the whole procedure takes? Thank you in advance.
Yes they'll fit as long as your headlights look like the first ones in my video too. It took me maybe 2 hours max but that was because my bolts were pretty stuck.
@ yes i have those exact headlights currently on my car, same as yours, im wondering if i find the same one cheaper if that would also work… but maybe buy your link just to be safe
@ I tried that and that’s the whole reason I made the video lol. I also bought some cheaper ones but those don’t come with the modules and aren’t designed for this car. They are made as replacements for cars that originally come with LED adaptive headlights which our cars don’t have. I considered buying the modules separately but then it’d be $500 for the modules. And needs to be coded which is pretty advanced if it’s even possible and would probably cost a few hundred more from a pro. Decided to look for the retrofit route after that. And that’s when I found these. I ordered 2 other sets of the replacements and had to return both of them then finally landed on these lol.
@ this whole video was actually like a month long process of trying 3 different sets and I should’ve probably included the clips of all the failures too 😂 I have 2 other unboxing vids and then finally this unboxing where they finally worked
@@Buildcultureyoutube thanks for replying man I’ll buy the ones in your link, they look exactly like oem
Hey keep spinning the camera around so we can’t tell where you are on the car. Thanks. Oh and please spend more time in a square nut
Can you send a link to buy this lights please
Yes it’s in the description but you can also get them here: amzn.to/48rnwOi
@@Buildcultureyoutube thank you.. but its not for my car.. its from year 2012:/
@@merteler as long as it’s a 2012 4 door 3 series it’ll fit. But not the 2 door
@@Buildcultureyoutube your sure? It's a BMW 3 series F30 2012 limousine.
@@merteler I'm 99% sure because the part number for the original headlight is exactly the same for 2012-2015 as long as you have halogen on your car originally and not xenon.
🤣 on the punch, earned my like 👍
Were you able to fix the blinking?
Yes. Just deactivated the orange running lights.
Can be done with BimmerCode app or with a higher end scanner
@@Buildcultureyoutube where exactly did you go into on bimmercode to deactivate this?
thank you bro ❤
Happy to help!
What exact model ?
It’s the delta r4 ignite black ops
How do you like the lift after 2 weeks?
I still like them. Used on my truck to do undercoating this week. Only complaint is how heavy they are lol but it makes sense for how much weight they lift. I really like that they lift straight up compared to slightly forward like quick jacks. I still recommend them and convinced a close friend to get them too lol.
Get a Johnson bar to help move them around. That's what I do. You can steer them around with the bar under the handle loop.
What’s the max lifting point spread with extension? I’m looking for 72-74”
