Incredible movie. Even better transfer. Can confirm the 5.1 mix is great. Specifically during the many bar brawl scenes you get music and tables crashing and women screaming coming from all around you. Loved it. Great review.

Do you like , love or hate cowboys and aliens I thought it was stupid as hell and had unlikeable and cliched charachters.

Its pretty good. Like Halloween with Chuck Norris as the town sheriff tracking down Michael Meyers which im dure indpired it as it was around time period of the second Halloween and Friday the 13th films. Good Guys Wear Black is probably my favorite. Hero and the Terror is a favorite as well

What are your thoughts on Den Of Thieves 2?

Thanks for your review of one of my all-time favorite movies! I watch it every year on Christmas Eve, since that's when the movie takes place. To me, this is a beautiful looking film. Almost art house. I'm still amazed, that with not a lot of money, the producers made such a good movie. That they were even able to get the cast they did. And what an ending! Thanks again!

Great review! I loved it and am seeing again tomorrow. I thought the good man at heart losing his humanity, attacked by a werewolf and the sadness and tragic look in his eyes and the curse or sickness that is now part of who he is worked as a nice tribute to Lon Chaney Jr who was a good guy, attacked by a werewolf, and you feel his desperation and tragedy and sadness too. Also in Wolfman 2010 they took an estranged relationship with the father and then both 2010 and 2025 having them ultimately fight as Werewolves. The end chase in the woods leading to being killed by someone that loved them in each different version still made a emotional ending true to ultimately how the other ones ended too setting him free of the sickness or curse. As for the practical makeup effects I loved them. The lower jaw protruding out and the fangs, more wolflike nose turned up like almost a little snout like Lon Chaney, the wolf eye contacts, of course patches of hair and nice claws. I definitely got a Wolfman vibe and definitely consider it a version of a werewolf who like his dad had Blake lived longer he would have continued to grow more hair and evolve more. The father daughter connection made it very heartfelt. The bit they do with the reading the mind that "Daddy loves his little girl " really pays off when at the finale she sees her dad suffering as the Wolfman and REALLY reads his mind telling her mother he wants it all to end. And Charlotte tragically realizes how much she truly loves Blake but by the time she professes her love for him he can no longer understand her...just adds to the tragedy of it all.....finally I loved seeing and hearing aspects of turning into a werewolf from the perspective of the one turning with his hearing, scent, eyesight.

I thought it was really bad

If he doesn't surf a bread van it's not a wolf movie. Nice quick review I'll have to add this movie to my list. It would be nice if Universal can get the monster franchise back off the ground.

I have always rather enjoyed the 2010 Wolfman movie, especially the Director's Cut version. It has some issues with pacing, the use of CGI transformations instead of more practical transformations while Rick Baker himself was working on the movie was very unfortunate (and the CGI more generally has aged poorly), and the climatic scene between... ****SPOILERS**** ... The two werewolves is a little on the silly side, but that said the period atmosphere is very well executed (I am a big fan of period horror, especially of the fog wreathed variety), most of the performances are at least solid from a cast full of highly capable actors, and the practical effects final version of the Wolfman is excellent. All in all, a fun little bristler if you don't go in with unreasonable expectations. I watch it every year round about the Halloween 'spooky season' period.
