Good Question dellmack. Usually the pump will have a large port and small port. The smaller port should be the pressure outlet port. If you look into the smaller port and rotate the input shaft so that when looking at the gears as the mesh together they are moving away from you then that is the correct pump rotation.

Yes when used with new hose we have seen these last many years. When used on a damaged hose or older hose it is better that you change out to a new hose as soon as convenient to you.

hmmm good question, If you are talking about the pressure port , then yes you should be able to rotate or flip the center housing 180 degrees so that the smaller hole stays on the pressure side.

Yes I agree... sorry about that, was a last minute rush job before we put it back together. You could try slowing the playback speed down a bit :)

Its avbout a AU $300 Job to do on the car with the hoses still connected to the Pump. Much more expensive (time consuming) if you disconnect the hoses from the pump as there are lot of the internal panels and seating that need to be removed first.

Very observant of you Benny, it a trade secret, making a small hole in the cylinder inline with the spring /ring clip makes it much easier to remove the ring ring clip by pushing on it from the outside rather than trying to dig or hook it out from the inside.

There is a very light spring on the bypass valve to keep it closed. Also it is never Good Practice to have the Oil level in the tank lower than the Pump suction port. If this can not be avoided then a low pressure check valve should be installed in the suction line to prevent drain back.

This Pump supplies oil at a certain volume, as more and more load is put on the pump, and to prevent the engine turning the pump from stalling the Horsepower control adjusts the angle of the Swash plate and reduces the piston stroke therfore changing displacement.

nope sorry no repair kit for flat face couplers, they are factory sealed units. usually with green permanent locktite

😮 no possible For one small leack - must trow it?

Sometimes if you have a tricky press job to do that requires you to use BOTH hands to keep everything in alignment or to hold it still and or upright. Using the foot operated pump keeps you, both your hands and your focus on the job.

pistons or valve plate may be worn out, or horsepower control not working properly, does the engine want to stall when going up hill?

Using a Gasket Is Probably a Good Idea, especially if the material the bulkhead is made from is not Aluminium, thickness will be limeted by the length of the bulkhead and if you can get the lock nut on as well as connect the hoses or pipes to the end of the remaining bulkhead threads.

mm mm 3/8 " hose is actually referring to the internal bore of the hose not the external diameter, 3/8" 2 wire hose manufactured to SAE 100R2 Specifications will have an Outside diameter of around 19 mm or 3/4" inches, hope this helps you.

Could be one of many things such as residual oil in the pump or you may have a slightly damaged gear or a bent shaft.

Sorry No kit available, you measure the seals and O rings and then call a seal supplier, Some sizes of Seal are not available and have to be custom made.

Generally in medium to high pressure Hydraulic Gear pumps, the Gears and Shafts are made from Heat Treated High Carbon Steel. The Casings or pump housing, End Plates and Covers can be Cast Iron, Aluminium Alloy, and or Steel or any Combination Of the above mentioned metals. Depending on the design and cost there may be roller, ball, bush or just no bearings at all.
