Optomechanical Technologies - ETN

This is a channel for workshops organized by "Optomechanical Technologies" (OMT) training network.
A H2020 Marie Curie Skłodowska - European Training Network (ETN) coordinated by EPFL. The ETN research focuses on optomechanical technologies (OMT) - new technologies based on cavity optomechanical interactions that allow to read out and control mechanical oscillators at the quantum level using optical fields. This project is organized by Laboratory of Photonics and Quantum Measurements at EPFL.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 722923.

OMT saves the astronaut
Irene Sánchez Arribas, an OMT fellow from the University of Konstanz (Germany) describes OMT’s Traveling Exhibition. It was developed within the framework of the Marie Curie Skłodowska European Training Network (ETN), Optomechanical Technologies. Save the Astronaut is an interactive video game that incorporates micro-electromechanical accelerometers which are used in everyday devices such as video game controllers, smartphones, and cars. The exhibit traveled to different European cities within the ETN consortium where the ESRs presented the game at local events to demonstrate the importance and use of optomechanical technologies in our daily lives.

Dear Speaker, you clearly are a smart guy but your presentation skills are poor. After 25 minutes the audience still didn't know what problem you were working on. Please introduce the background properly and your students will get infinitely more from your talk.
