The mantra "ॐ नमः शिवाय" (Om Namah Shivaya) is one of the most revered and powerful mantras in Hinduism, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Here's a breakdown and meaning of each part:
ॐ (Om): Known as the primordial sound of the universe, Om represents the ultimate reality, divine consciousness, and connection to the infinite. It is often used at the start of mantras to invoke the presence of the divine.
नमः (Namah): This translates to "I bow" or "I honor." It's an expression of deep reverence, surrender, and humility, a way of offering oneself in devotion to the divine.
शिवाय (Shivaya): This word directly refers to Lord Shiva, the embodiment of peace, transformation, and inner awakening. Shiva symbolizes the universal energy that destroys ignorance, attachments, and ego, paving the way for spiritual growth and liberation.

Hinduism is deeply symbolic, and for many events, there are multiple interpretations or versions of the same story. The version you're referencing is the well-known one, but this short highlights a lesser-known perspective. For instance, Ganpati’s broken tusk: one version says it was damaged during a battle with Parashurama, while another claims he broke it to use as a pen while scribing for Ved Vyas. Similarly, while Shri Rama is popularly known to have killed Ravana, another version credits Sita, and yet another suggests Sita was Ravana’s daughter. Curious about my personal theory on why so many versions exist? I have three! Let me know if you'd like to hear them. You Might agree with them, If you have wider perspective....

Only one who healed and rose from the dead and claimed that I AM and I am the way truth and life. Only one who didn't sin. All the others did. All others bribe, earn, or work their way to heaven. Only one said it is a free gift. Only one book written by 40 authors whom never lived together written over 1500yrs backed by archeology and has 63,000 cross references. All others are a con.

Have you read when the bible was formed and when it was declared holy? It was the Ecumenical Council in 320 AD. after Emperor Constantine accepted Christianity, it became the religion of the Holy Roman Empire. In this council also they decided to form the Christian Creed for all believers. Nothing came from God all made by human beings. Go and read the history of Christianity and you will know that the early Christians were also cruel and fanatics. Read the Spanish Inquisitions, if you have not read it then you only have blind faith but no knowledge of its history.

I respect your sentiment, but before commenting, it’s important to understand the full picture rather than relying on incomplete information. For example, Krishna conveyed similar teachings over 5,000 years ago, as documented in the Bhagavad Gita, where he declares his divinity. Comparing a 1,500-year-old text to Hindu scriptures, which date back over 3,000 years and encompass numerous texts like the Vedas, Upanishads, and Puranas with over 40 versions and extensive cross-references, is quite imbalanced. Even Western scientists and philosophers acknowledge the depth and age of these texts. For context, the Bible, dated 500 CE, is often cross-referenced, but Hindu scriptures predate it by centuries and offer profound philosophical, spiritual, scientific, mathematical, astronomical & other theological diversity. This channel is dedicated to understanding Hinduism, which goes beyond the concept of religion and encompasses a vast cultural and spiritual philosophy. The aim here is not to disrespect any religion or promote conversion, unlike some others do. Hinduism as a whole, doesn't promote that at all. Respect is mutual and goes both ways.

@MantraMandirSangraha only one died for sins of the world though. No other was like Jesus. He said he was God and did miracles and much more and proved his validity. He also rose from the dead with many scientific facts in the Bible we've only discovered in the last 100yrs. Many Hindu's converting to Christianity because of the truth and the Government is so mad they made orders to drive freedom of religion out because Hindu doesn't grow because their is no truth in it. I hope you read the Gospels and compare Jesus to your Hindu.

Time is a Light fiend No Time is Light Inside Black Hole No Time

    • @MantraMandirSangraha
      @MantraMandirSangraha 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

I completely disagree with you. If you're saying this, you don't understand time, science let alone religion. Quantum theory provides evidence for it, and the existence of black holes proves its concept. Black holes, with their immense gravity and infinite density, are physical forms of energy. The death of a massive star and the formation of a black hole, whether it exists infinitely or not, demonstrates the concept of time. Our inability to calculate it precisely is our limitation, not a flaw in the concept. Hinduism goes beyond, calculating the life of the universe and even the ages of gods. In Hinduism: Vishnu represents space, INFINITE WITH NO BOUNDRIES, NOTHINGNESS & EVERYTHINGNESS, TWO SIDES OF SINGLE COIN. Shiva embodies time, CYCLIC & INFINITE Shakti is the goddess of energy, and LIGHT IS ONLY ONE FORM OF ENERGY Brahma represents matter. BLACK HOLE HAS NO MATTER. Space, time, and energy are constants, unified in the grand cosmic order.

There is not a single examples to quote..! 100 Pandvas were killed in a battle.. Panch Pandavas sent to Himalaya in frustration.. as Dronacharya asked them to take refuge in Himalaya but did not liberate them.. Even Krishna was killed by a Hunter..! Rama and Laxmana took refuge, suicide in Sharayu river.. Sita went underground leaving back her sons Luv and Kusha.

Those are great words from a great saint, person, or god-depending on personal belief. But can you truly apply them in this materialistic world? Can you forsake your comfortable life like him? If not, what you're saying doesn’t make sense at all. You ask if Hinduism has liberated anyone from suffering. Where do you think the concept of Moksha (liberation) originated? Or the idea of Dharma? Or even Buddhism itself? Everything Buddha preached traces back to Hindu philosophy-it is one path of liberation among several. Religions evolve with time, shaped by the people following them, just as Hinduism and Buddhism have. The gods you mention teach us that suffering is part of life. Even divine incarnations, born as humans, couldn’t escape it. It’s not about avoiding suffering; it’s about fulfilling our Dharma, tackling challenges, and moving forward. If everyone were perpetually happy, would anyone value happiness? The 100 Kauravas didn’t just die-they were liberated (moksha) because they were killed in Krishna's presence on the blessed land of Kurukshetra, sanctified by Brahma for liberation. The Pandavas and Draupadi weren’t frustrated-they completed their Dharma. With Kali Yuga about to begin, they sought heaven in their physical forms. Only Yudhishthira, free of accumulated negative karma, succeeded. Even Krishna’s death was by his own will, fulfilling the karmic cycle of curses he intentionally invited. His divinity remained intact. His clan’s destruction was necessary-they were too powerful for the coming age and could have disrupted cosmic order. If you are born human, you cannot escape suffering. Immortality in the body is a myth. But liberation (moksha)? That is attainable. The real question is: can you rise above and strive for it?

No single being is represented as evil. Just to get sense of good vs evil , god vs devil, I.E. theological concept. In Hinduism, it is denoted & centered around struggle between Chaos & Order.

This Kalpa marks the first day of the 51st year of Brahma, and it's the first of 30 Kalpas, or days of Brahma. While Bhadrakalpa is significant in Buddhism, in the context of this channel, we are referring to the Hindu perspective. Thanks for bringing this up! @@brijvisu9804 I completely agree! The Vedas and Puranas contain numerous elements, and sometimes they may seem contradictory because they were recorded at different times. For me, these differences reflect parallel realities. According to Scriptures, one day of Brahma equals 4.32 billion years, known as a Kalpa. In our current Kalpa, called the Shveta-Varaha Kalpa, fourteen Manus reign in succession that is known as Manvantara. Each cycle contains four Yugas-Krita (Satya), Treta, Dvapara, and Kali-collectively called Chaturyuga, also known as Mahayuga. We are currently in Kali Yuga within the 7th Manvantara, known as Vaivasvata Manvantara. The mention of Bhadrakalpa is less common. This variation in time cycles across the Puranas shows the complexity of cosmic time in Hinduism. Time is cyclical, and these differences arise due to the vastness of such scales across different scriptures.

We are in the 28th Mahayuga out of 71, and currently in Kaliyuga, which began in 3102 BCE. As of 2024 CE, 5126 human years have passed in this Kaliyuga. Since there are some contradictions across various texts, I recommend exploring multiple sources like the Markandeya Purana, Vishnu Purana, Shreemad Bhagavatam, Vayu Purana, and Brahmanda Purana for deeper understanding. The legend of kannappa proves this wrong. Known to be a reincarnation of Arjuna, kannappa, who was born of a low caste, didn’t know how to worship shiva. He would offer whatever he hunted as bhog to his shivalingam, including swine flesh, and poured water on it using his mouth as a vessel for the river water. Traditionally it is a sin, but lord shiva accepted all his offerings because he was pure at heart. Bholenath is all merciful. Don’t turn spirituality into a blind ritualistic practice.

Respectfully, it seems there’s a contradiction in your comment. On one hand, you praise Kannappa's pure-hearted devotion, and on the other, you criticize what you call 'blind ritualistic practice,' which is the very topic the video addresses. To clarify your story: the name ‘Kannappa’ comes from 'Kann' in Tamil, meaning ‘eye,’ because he offered his eyes to Lord Shiva. His original name in folklore was Thinnan, a skilled archer from a tribe that worshipped Kartikeya. When he found a Shivlingam in the forest, not knowing the formal rituals, he offered what he thought was right-boar meat, wild flowers, and water from his mouth, even speaking to the Shivlingam. When he saw a wound on it, he offered his own eyes, and before he could give his second, Shiva appeared before him, accepting his devotion. By the way there is a devoted Brahmin in this story as well who follows all the rituals. The key point is that if someone doesn’t know the correct rituals, it doesn’t matter to Bholenath because love and devotion are what count. You seemed to miss this essence of the story and focused on a less important part. It’s similar to how some people say they smoke weed because Shiva does-taking something small out of context. "Firstly, if you know the rituals, follow them. If you choose not to, that’s on you, but don’t blame others for it. Secondly, rituals and traditions in India change every few kilometers, so there’s no need to follow what others suggest. Thirdly, religion and spirituality are deeply personal-belief and faith are between you and your god. Trying to teach or force your thoughts onto others is wrong. And lastly, reading more about it might help you gain a better understanding."

There are many such stories, scenarios, and contexts that the average person may not know much about. For example, the battles of Durga Maa in the Markandeya Purana or as written in detail in the Durga Saptashati-when compared, the war sequences in Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones seem like nothing more than a joke. If you think the Mahabharata war is massive, imagine wars that are several times larger, with divine aspects and even more wild, chaotic battles. Support us by continue watching!!! Thank You

How can I help? Is there any confusion you'd like to resolve? Hinduism, as a religion, is centered around stories that are deeply symbolic. Every story is meant to teach a particular aspect, whether it's scientific, symbolic, related to awareness, or ritualistic in nature. In my view, Hinduism began at a time when the literacy rate was almost nonexistent worldwide. It was primarily passed down through oral tradition for a very long time. Later, around 1500 BC, it was written down. By around 500 BC, common people gained access to read scriptures. Prior to that, the only way to acquire knowledge was through Gurukuls (Ancient schools/university)

When Shiva is with Parvati, who loves Vermillion (Sindoor) and Turmeric (Haldi), as a devoted husband, he doesn't mind these offerings when you worship both of them together. Coconut is considered sacred-some believe it represents Shiva's three eyes, while other belief system see's the white part as Parvati, the water as Ganga, and the shell as Kartikeya. Though Coconut water is often used in Rudra-Abhishek, when Shiva is in his Rudra form, it is sacred-consumption is not allowed. However, since we practice pooja at temples, offerings made are meant to be consumed, and that's why coconut water is not usually offered to the Shivling. In the end, Shiva is Bholenath, the simple-hearted god who doesn't need complex rituals-just sincere devotion.

@@MantraMandirSangraha black sesame seeds is quite common and haldi kum kum chandan as well. Can you please tell what is the source for the information you are providing ?

@@mitrajjadeja4026 Firstly, Raised in a family deeply rooted in pooja rituals, Secondly, I've mostly referred to the Shiva Purana, where it's clearly mentions what are the appropriate offerings for Bhagwan Shiva. There are other scriptures as well like Grahya Sutra, but not sure about those, never read anything apart from Shiva Purana. However please keep in mind, Hinduism is incredibly diverse- customs, language, culture & practices vary widely across regions. For example, while the Shiva Purana doesn't mention the listed materials, I've seen vermillion used in temples and even black sesame in Maharashtra. Important thing to remember that in India, traditions and rituals shifts with every region, making Hinduism flexible and not rigid. I understand if you don't agree with me. By the way shiva loves chandan- because of it Thandi Taseer (cold) unlike Haldi & Sindoor(hot). Two reasons i can recall- In short Shiva represents fire and second he drank Halahal . Another topic for you to, not to agree with me.
