Nice to know you solved it, but for me, i rather you taught us how to do it. Any algorithm or step?
first know your top layer from bottom. 123 top 789 bottom. start from bottom (imagine it's the yellow side) by flipping it. your cross will always be 2468 with 5 in the middle. look for edge piece attached to 8. example 2/8, 4/8, 6/8 and 8/8. that completes the bottom cross. fill in the corners so when you flip it upward all 789 layers are facing upward. For second layer, all center piece are 5. all edge pieces are 4/6. fill out those edge pieces using beginers method. make sure all 5 are all facing up. for last layer use FUR U1 R F.until you form your top cross. Top cross contains edge pieces 2/2, 4/2, 6/2 and 8/2. Once you established your top cross do an RUR algo. you'll know your cross is done when all 2 from all four sides are facing up. the real puzzle is on the top layer. You can do an RUR algo until you form that HAMMER or FISH patterns. your top face may have all number 1-9 but the corners will not be in place. to do that look at the numbers 1,3,7 and 9. find "synetrical" corners...they are the headlights of a side. perform an RFRBBR (note that algo i noted is abbreviated...i assume you know the basics when you inquired about algorithms and step) side note... sudoku does have elements of the void cube when it comes to parity. you'll find that out figuring the last layer. this is the best i could come up with describing how to solve a sudoku cube. and do get a decent blank cube and get it stickered. the ones sold in stores will give you carpal tunnel.
