Variations on a Theme
This is a first attempt at a Musical Book, A musical theme is carried through all the "chapters" It has 15 songs stitched together. It was produced using Cubase with multiple VSTs. Hardware was Roland D-50, RD-170, RA-90, M-OC1, M-BD1, M-VS1, M-SE1, Alises Surge Drum Kit, and Zoom L20 Digital Mixer/Audio Interface. I bought my D-50 in 1989 and was astounded at what I could do with it back then, Now, my "happy place" is this magical digital concert hall, where I can conduct an entire orchestra, play any instrument, arrange parts, and even model the acoustic of the room. Now, If I could just learn how to play.... Had I known where music would be now when I was complaining about piano lessons back in the 60s, I would have put more effort into it. Probably my greatest regret is that I was given a chance to develop this talent, and could not see beyond having to do scales.
If I may wax philosophical for a moment, Take the talents you have been given and develop them. No matter how insignificant they may feel, no matter how difficult, jump in with both feet! Own them and treasure them! You may never know how many lives you could have touched, how many dreams you could have inspired, if you don't try or if you don't feel you good enough, or if "it's too hard".

At first glance, it looks like a JJ Abrams version of the constitution, but when you get up closer, you notice the differences…….Not a bad looking ship……I’d like to see some specs
Thanks! I built this model about 20ish years ago.... The JJ Abrams surprised me! I'm an old TOS guy and I kicked this idea around for years before finally deciding to model it and animate it. Never got around to specing it out. In my mind, it's about 50% larger than the Andy Propert 1701-C
Hey Chad, this John Conte your buddy from Argentina and also a Viewpoint alumnus. How are you doing buddy? I just found your YT channel after doing some research on Symbolics Machines and its origins. It would be great to hear from you, my friend. Stay safe.
Que haces loco!!! How are you? Long time. Im in Huntsville, AL now. FLying drones of all things.
John, How are you? Small world eh? Asi es la vida che
@@tillmanclt Todo bien amigazo! Que sigan los exitos.
The soda can-like lateral protrusions kinda stick out like a sore thumb on an otherwise sleek and innovative design.
Didn't get the chance to animate them completely. These are retractable long range sensor and telescope hubs. When retracted, they set flush with the hull.. Thanks for the comments!!
9 times 6000 is 54000 lbs divided by 2000 is 27 tons 57000 divided by 2000 is 28.5 tons
Love the design. :)
Why does the neck have a glowing red part?
Those are cooling tubes. I haven't quite decided what they cool, but they looked cool in the design stage :)
They are also on the Armstrong, another federation concept ship I built, but not on the Ironsides.
I didn't realize that tubes were rectangular
@@jasonbarkman Yep, kinda hard to tell in the video.
why tf such vechicles as animation? xD
One day, mankind will able to travel galaxies with stairway to heaven on loop.
Max height of a crib tower is based on number of contact points, per USAR field operation guide. One contact point allows a max height of 1 x your footprint (length of cribbing minus offset). Two contact points allows a max height of 1.5 x your footprint. Four contact points (there arent situation where you have three contact points) allows for 2 x your footprint. Four contact points would be a lifting situation with airbags.
Do you remember the comment, still down below, saying, "Terry Beynon 3 months ago I believe the math is incorrect on the 3x3 cribbing load capacity." Well, You probably fixed it with annotations, now, youtube removed that feature. I just wanted to tell you, they screwed the annotation system.
John, thanks. Not only that I have tried to replace the video with the corrected animation and it still keeps playing the old.... argh......
I believe the math is incorrect on the 3x3 cribbing load capacity.
You are absolutely right! It is 54000 or 27 tons. I will fit it. Thanks!
goooood
If only your design will be seen in the 14th star trek movie
Lexi Jamie you are too kind.
I am pretty sure you can find good solution on Woodprix page :)
That moment when a dog realizes his owner is a mean little bitch.
Strange Video, but awesome Cover!
What are those things sticking out of the sides of the neck?
Those are the deep space sensor and communications arrays. They also house the main reactor core.
Frankenstein neck bolts
@@jasonbarkman I will not say where I got the inspiration :)
Cool! Make more animation!
Still an animation stud. Too bad they've put you out to pasture... ;)
pasture is good...
Exhaust are forward to keep away from ALS mission package. Also it allows for expansion headers under the cowl to cool exhaust before discharge... Thanks for the comments! Not many have noticed that.
