Hi and welcome to my channel. I am a 42 year old Norwegian Viking who loves flying drones, Im like a little kid when get to pull on the sticks and make the fly thingy go zrooom. I love to challenge my self and I do think I have come a long way in just 3-4 months of FPVing. I started with FPV at end of April 2023 when I picked up the DJI Avata and wanted to get back into droning.
I picked up my very first drone back in 2019 a DJI Mavic Air. Then the pandemic hit and I stopped flying.
I mainly fly DJI Avata atm and I also added the DJI Mini 3 Pro for my cinematic itch and have plans on few more drones in the future.

DJI Avata Freestyle Flow | FPV Fun Activated!
Back at the my local model aircraft clubs aistrip (Fredrikstad Model Flyklubb, Norway), flying my DJI Avata cinewhoop type of drone. I am thinking of getting the DJI Avata 2 because the 04 Air unit is way better then the 03 Air unit for sure but then I am probably better of waiting for the 04 Air unit being released as a stand alone unit and the build my self a real racing/freestyle drone.
I feel more confident in my flying and see I have improved a lot the 1 year I have been flying FPV. I do some mistakes here and there but as we all know mistakes and crashes is all a part of the steap learning curve in this FPV world and it is what makes FPV so much fun to me.

Although the Avata2 cannot keep up with the model planes it's still fun and the RC pilots love to watch their flights. Nice video!
Thanks for your kind words. I am still in a learning phase I would say (1,5 year old pilot) and the other pilot didn't exactly show me any mercy. I hope I can upgrade to a better quad soon and keep up with these speeds.
I am looking forward to getting a new quad so I can keep up with these strange flying things with wings. 🤣Anyone have a quad they can recommend?

@@JarleHansen 9:55 the groundspeed ist 20km/h, but looks faster than at 40km/h. Not bad, your so great, pilot, show us Objekt 1M high
@@calleblomquist You know there is a clock showing my recording timer in my goggles counting every second, rigth? Then the record timer should be speeding up as well? Well it doesnt. Looking at 9:55 my guess its the drone cant register the speed correctly when it's upside down that's why it looks off. LoL I am not claiming I am anything bro, my previous comment was a self ironic joke. 🙂
Took mine to a drift track and it paused and hovered on me with a steep bank. You are getting a lot more mileage out of yours

Its a pain to color grade the footage from the Avata with so much data lost in the shadows. Anyone got any tips to make the 03 unit record shadows better?
Good job at putting that little cinewhoop to the test....if you want to have 1000x more fun you should invest in a 5 inch freestyle...I know it's obvious...but the experience for you will be that much better. Not saying flying the avata is not the most fun ever you had with a drone...but just saying. You'll thank me later for giving you a hard time lol.
Yeah I agree and I know a real quad will be way better. Right now I feel my skills is lacking because of the limitation of the Avata. It's a good beginner drone, but after a 1 year as an FPV pilot I should move on to a better quad in hope of improving. Thx for the feed back.
@@JarleHansen hey there's nothing wrong as long as you're having a good time just don't be one of those people that leaves FPV without trying the better stuff :) everyone has to start somewhere and I do admit that those DJI drones are a great way to start Good luck to you
@@NOT_ANOTHER_FPV FPV is in my blood now after a year of flying I dont see myself quitting FPV for drones ever at this point. Yeah I plan on getting the better stuff, just can't afford it atm.

Yeah this is footage from the Avata 1 03 unit. I want the Avata 2 because the 04 unit is waaaay better. The 03 unit is decent but its a pain to color grade.

Davinci Resolve its free (www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve) and one of the best out there. You can pay to get some stuff unlocked, if you pay its one time payment after what I do understand. 🙂
My first time ever chasing something with a drone, was fun but sadly the Avata has its limits to speed and aerodynamics. What do you think, I should upgrade my setup?

I had a hard time color grading this one. But what can you do with a pc monitor which is starting to break down and I am unexperienced in the world of color grading, camra setting and ND filters. 😯
