I’m 49 and only 3 classes away from getting my BA in Business. Wondering if I’m too old for law school. Maybe the 8 month Paralegal Program is best…

Curious, given the following context, is a 150 LSAT a deal-breaker for T14?: 3.98 ug gpa (while working full-time, managing $500MM portfolio at largest investment bank), 3.57 grad gpa in conflict resolution (while working full-time at largest credit reporting company), 4.0 grad gpa in diplomacy and international law from France (while working full-time at boutique DC law firm that handles financial services regulatory compliance). I'm a non-attorney partner at said DC law firm as the COO and managing mediator. 150 LSAT after 1 practice exam. Realistically, could not devote more time to studying for the LSAT, but taken the past 2 years to divest portfolio and in-process of stepping down from role and transition duties to interim successor to give study of law my full focus. Thanks for your informal assessment/feedback. (edit to add age for relevance: in early-mid 30's; this isn't about money, if it were I'd had stayed in IB, I've just always wanted to be a lawyer, but had to make my own way in the process, and was given amazing opportunities along that journey)

Thank you so much for the video. It was really encouraging. I’m currently struggling with the LSAT, as I have very limited time to study and practice due to my work schedule. Still, I don’t want this to stop me from pursuing law degree. I realize that I may need to adjust my expectations and aim for a lower-ranked but decent school with excellent programs.

I cannot believe this video has only 39 views. Nimat provided so many invaluable insights about the process of transitioning into a legal career after teaching! I’m 26 and have been a sub teacher/educator for the past few years in nyc. Deeply related to a lot of what Nimat said. This got my juices flowing for my “why law, why now?” Thank you so much for these videos!!

It is quite interesting to hear the paragraph structure debate. In law school you are taught in excess about brevity, how is that not applicable to LSAT writing? Do not give me five sentences if you can win it all in three. Giving more than is needed is a waste of precious minutes on LSAT writing. A WASTE. At this point y'all trust God because trying to please people will lead you astray.

This may be hard to understand but I have realized that God will allow us to go through some serious testing in order that his purpose for us can be birthed, as hard as it was she had to go through this in order to be helping these ppl now, it's easier to understand someone's pain if we ourselves have had pain, God bless this lovey woman of God
