I swear, it just makes sense, but they won't utilize Amy anymore for some reason. She's the one making friends and allies. Like, how many times has Amy indirectly saved everybody by being a sweetheart and telling the opposition What's what? But they don't let her bonds with people stick out. Shadow, Blaze, and Silver are part of the family because of Amy. But they don't exchange dialogue after. It's so weird.

Just wanna point out that it can be platonic or more depending on how you interpret it, however be respectful too. People dont actually need a reason to ship two characters or just have a different perspective 👌 Personally I do hate Shadow seeing Amy as Maria since that would mean its throwing away Amy's individuality, everything she worked hard for to just be simplified as compassionate 😔 If anyone thats gonna be compared to Maria, its gonna be Cream who actually acts like a literal child n isnt paying rent like Amy. Also, if you don't like the ship, y even press on the video??? If you're gonna be immature, start growing up.
In Dark Beginnings we see Maria tackle hug Shadow a few times. Only person to do that sides her is Amy. Any wonder why he sees Maria in Amy later on. Its why I ship the two. Plus they get a lot of wholesome fan art.

It's interesting to think that due to Sega having a tight leash on characters, a writer may go, "I'd like Shadow to just pat Cream on the forehead to show affection before he runs off to fight... but I'm not allowed to do that." Thank goodness for fanfics.
I like to think of Amy and Shadow in the way of Enid and Wednesday from the Netflix series: The walking ball of gothic darkness is willing to let just a little bit of sunshine into his life. Violent threats are at the tip of the tongue, to everyone EXCEPT her. And any rare hugs are not given, they are EARNED.

@juxtaposedlime2734 Yep. While it won't be official Sega property or canon, we'll know what they intended and they can always do fan works based on their interpretations.
@mill2712 Iirc, this is also the case with EmuEmi's Sonic and Tails R. Because she hired Mike Pollock as Eggman, therefore SEGA has to oversee production because she's using their active talent, as opposed to Jason Griffith, Ryan Drummond, etc. as they no longer work for SEGA.
Honestly, I watched this part in the podcast, and I honestly believed he always cared about Amy---I mean, she's the one who helped him remember Maria's TRUE wish in SA2, and in MOSTH, Shadow was the only one who knew that Hot Honey was Amy's favorite band. The ONLY one. AND he buys her the Hot Honey tickets on top of this. And when Amy told him he's attending the concert with her, he didn't really argue---He basically said "I don't know if I should". If this was ANYONE else, Shadow would've said "No." just downright "No." and wouldn't have came to the concert. Of course, since Shadow has a soft spot for Amy, he was just hesitant because he couldn't bring himself to say "no" to her. Also...Shadamy confirmed...? 🤔 (Don't kill me pls, I know he's just saying he views her as a close friend). Anyways, Shadow having a soft spot for Amy is canon to me now. ALSO ALSO, amazing animatic! 😊
Yes, I agree! Whether the emotions he feels for her are platonic or romantic in nature, I think it’s important to highlight the connection the two characters have. They’ve been through so much separate and together, so we should acknowledge it :)

I wouldnt call this "Shadamy" this felt more like he was saying that Shadow just feels a pull to protect Amy and maybe Cream and he is nicer to them than he is to the boy characters. He definitely cares about any young girls who have a good heart and remind him of Maria. But he also seems to be friends with Amy if the Twitter Takeovers are anything to go by. 😂

Yes. Young girls seem to be a weakness for him. He seems to see Maria in any girls younger than him that have a good heart. And he can't bring himself to be mean to them, so he seems to cave to their whims.

YYEEESSS!!! You know, I'm surprised that the sonic community isn't giving the BumbleKast the same amount of attention as the take-covers.. It's technically more available than that twitter stuff - and we get WAY more incite on where these characters are going from what's on that podcast! 'Cause, y'know, one of the hosts IS the Head Writer For The Entire FRANCHISE!! .... Or at least one of the big ones! 'Come on guys where have you been all this time!!

It's best to be cautious with the Bumblekast because it's a mixture of actually canon material, Ian's personal headcanons, and the two hosts just goofing off. Fans have taken it the wrong way before.
@benraven9087 True true, same things go for the takeovers. Not entirely Canon but for fun sadly 😔 but does give insight to the characters thankfully.
"More available" dude the Twitter takeover IS FREE! You have to pay to Ian flynn to answer you, and even then he said so himself that his answers may not be accurate!
Didn't Amy herself persuade Shadow in SA2 to not give up on humanity, which lead to later realise his mistake and remember Maria's wish, leading him to cooperate with the rest? I thought they both had more special connection.
@jin1p777 YUP! They do in the sense that Shadow has only ever listened to Amy when she has spoken to him. No one can convince him to get out of his comfort zone but Amy. He definitely has a soft spot for her n cream.
It’s implied but never really expanded on, like many things in the franchise 😂. Amy’s like the one person besides Rouge (sometimes) that Shadow will listen to.
I feel that is what he is talking about, Amy reminds Shadow of María and she already got him out of the very dark place he was in in SA2 so if anyone can talk him down is her, maybe even more than Rouge
@carso1500 I think it's more of respect Shadow has for Amy, and it would be awful to throw away all of Amy's individuality with him viewing her that way. He points out that his keeping his promise to Amy AND Maria. Maria and Amy are compassionate, just like the majority of the cast. If anyone is to be viewed like Maria, it would be Cream since she acts like an actual child while the rest don't.
@@pberry-daki that is what I was talking about, someone can remind you of another person without you seeing them as that person, I was saying that in the case of Amy she reminds Shadow of Maria's compasión and heart and it seems like Shadow reacts to those kinds of emotions the best
