NieR Automata OST - City Ruins ('Rays of Shade' Mix)
มุมมอง 82K7 ปีที่แล้ว
As the title suggests, this mix is a little different from my usual sequential mixes in that I've mashed the instrumental versions of both Rays of Sunlight and Shade together. The pattern is still the same: Quiet, Medium, and finally Dynamic, but the vocal pattern is not... Hope you enjoy! (Wall of Text) P.S. I've been...rather lackluster when it comes to responding to comments and uploading re...
NieR Automata OST - Possessed by a Disease (Sequential Mix)

Thank God I was level 84, or I probably would have died 4 or 5 times over while recording the video for this song. XD Loop 1 - 8-bit Loop 2 (3:38) - Medium w/ 8-bit Loop 3 (6:41) - Dynamic w/ vocals Loop 4 (9:46) - Become As Gods (English / Japanese)
NieR Automata OST - Memories of Dust (Sequential Mix)
มุมมอง 3.5K7 ปีที่แล้ว
I didn't much care for the vocals in this one, so I added the 8-bit version in their place. (Apologies for the momentary spike in volume with the 8-bit; it's part of the game audio, and trying to mess with the volume in that spot didn't work well.) Also, since I didn't want to have ANOTHER NieR video with me running around the Desert Zone, I decided to include gameplay from another game with a ...

Now (finally) reuploaded, 6dB louder than before! Persona 5 may have Taken My Heart for the past few weeks, but I have now returned with another sequential mix from NieR: Automata! Loop 1 - Dynamic w/ vocals Loop 2 (2:19) - Dynamic Loop 3 (4:28) - Medium w/ vocals Loop 4 (6:37) - Quiet Loop 5 (8:47) - Quiet w/ corruption
PersoNieR 5 - Adam Palace and Boss Fight
มุมมอง 3737 ปีที่แล้ว
I really wish there was an option to have bosses' levels scale with you, because it would've been great to fight Shadow Adam without having to pull my punches. Anyway, here's another mashup thing, this time combining NieR: Automata video with music from Persona 5. I tried to drag out each section of the boss fight as much as I could while not simply standing around, but it was still hard to do ...
REQUEST: NieR Automata OST - Copied City (Dynamic x4)
มุมมอง 4.9K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Here ya go, senfwurst35. Sorry it took so long, but life got in the way a bit. Hope you enjoy, though! (Since I'd already run around the Copied City for my sequential mix, I decided to just record some early gameplay from my Hard run, hence the desert.)
Gravity NieRush 2: Katomata

...Having access to the 2B costume would've made this so much better. Anyway! I've decided to try something a little different from my usual recent fare: Taking video of Gravity Rush 2 and inserting the soundtrack from NieR Automata into it! (That's not to say that I dislike GR2's OST. Quite the contrary! Kohei Tanaka is a great composer, and I was glad to buy a physical copy.) My project here ...

Even though I'm not a fan of the style of vocals in this song, the track itself grew on me the more I listened to it. :) Loop 1 - Quiet Loop 2 (1:57) - Medium w/ vocals Loop 3 (3:45) - Dynamic Loop 4 (5:24) - Dynamic w/ vocals

my favorite map and music in the game
The best song from the soundtrack in my opinion. It's epic, beautiful, climatic, emotional, ALL OF IT! It's perfect! 8:30 Kuuureeeekaaaasaaaaaa! ISKAHETE ISKAHESO! Duuureeetaaakaaaaaaaa! ISKAHETE! ISKAHETA! Fuuureeemaaasaaaaaaa! ISKAHETE! ISKAHESO! Iiiiiibuuunsaaaaaaareeee! ISKAHETE! ISKATTA!

OMG I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS FOR HOURS! Masterpiece. Espeically the no vocal to vocal transition
Pokemon Dungeon vibes
There was a mix that had the rays of light instrumentation woth the shade vocals. It got taken down years ago This is the next best thing 😭
i adore your remakes! your one of the copied city was what brought me to you. chef’s kisses all around
Can I be autistic for a second? Shade sounds a lot more adventurous and crowded compared to Rays of Light, and it's honestly a bit weird to me. Shade uses: - a glockenspiel/vibraphone for the melody, an instrument commonly associated with more joyful, upbeat songs and tones - what sounds like mandolin or dulcimer trills and broken octaves alongside said melody and within other parts of the song - tambourines and similar metallic percussion, which is typically used in more energetic settings - two tracks of Emi Evans' light, enunciated, and harmonizing voice Rays of Light uses: - a single piano for the melody, with no other instrument supporting it, unlike Shade - an eerie, electronic synth pad that plays no matter the dynamic, whereas the synth pad is nearly imperceptible by Shade's medium variant - relatively slow acoustic guitar chord strums and arpeggios - pretty barebones, heavily reverberated percussion - only a single track of J'Nique Nicole's low, soulful, and delayed voice Shade's melody and its lyrics are both comprised of two different instruments/voices, and it's a pretty nonchalant song. Rays of Light has a single melody and a single voice, and the instrumentation is significantly more melancholy than Shade's. Yet Rays of Light plays in the game when there are two partners alive. Shade plays when there is only one.
For me, it feels like city ruins shade's upbeat tone is because of A2's character arc of her progressively opening up and becoming intimate again after the events of pearl harbor, on top the two finding a real purpose to keep going. Not to destroy all machines, but save people you love and to honor someone. At the start, the doom and gloom of the world and being an android is palpable. The true ending of the game is meant to give some hope as now they can exist as people without yorha restrictions tying them down. I mean I know 9S during the ending was going insane, but androids, things that are meant to be emotionless droids, are being people and having outbursts and feeling passionate. I'm not totally sure if I'm phrasing my thoughts correctly, but I think it's summarized with A2's "I never quite realized... how beautiful this world is." City Ruins Shade is my favorite for a lot of reasons, and I'm thankful to have read an analysis from someone that understands way more about music and can actually tell the individual instruments, because I was wondering that for a while.
All hail the Forest King
I already knew this soundtrack when I went to Copied City for the first time. I took all my time walking around it until I got to Adam. I thought it would be more realistic if 2B walked instead of running or sprinting since that's a very peculiar and unknown place for her and she would be admiring everything around, plus it´s filled of bodies and she would be looking for 9S
My best WaiFu android, in Nier automata,,,2B,,❤ & my best favorite soundtrack, ✌️👍
Sounds cute
my favorite ost
Came back here after the anime because they added vocals to this 🥹
It already had vocals 💀
@@MrInuhanyou123 they added new vocals to the intro, should have specified

Lovely song
Excelent track. It reminds me of some of the battle soundtracks of Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru, an anime that has two main seasons and one album per season (it is also a Keiichi Okabe and Monaca OST). This is because of the choral battle music and because Nami Nakagawa also sings there.
3:10 - 3:50 best part!
This is such an amazing track and something that immediately tells you this game is gonna be something really special!
The appearance of Emil’s shop with the marching song was the only little hope in this world which is the darkest and desperate
I love nier OST and it's been a mainstay among the VGM I listen to, which is the majority of music I listen to nowadays. I don't want to reign on everyone's parade, but the contrasting performances of just the humming alone between version's Emil's Shop is emblematic of why, in most cases, English dub and most other localization on the whole will either serviceable at best or at worst not hold a candle at all. The English humming doesn't stray from the conventional vocalizations of 'la la la', 'do do do', or 'la di da', and keeps in rhythm to the tempo, which is safe and gets the point across, but is also boring and misses many sentiments made by the original Japanese that represents the character of Emil. In the Japanese humming, the performance isn't afraid to stray from the usual vocalizations, even dares to be unintelligible at times, and often misses the tempo to sing in a strangely in-step dissonance with it, as if playing around for trying to find leeway in repeating the same tune over and over and over. All that nuance the English humming misses is the characterization that represents Emil so well in the Japanese performance; the casually playful and blase attitude that resulted from the numbness of thousands of years of suffering he endured inbetween the games.
The fact that the two of them singing sounds like two kids trying to sing while not understanding the lyrics makes me laugh.
It's not that he doesn't understand the lyrics, its the fact that he forgot it, in Automata there are side quest where you have to find lunar tear, after finding each one he remember something.. so he forgot the lyrics most probably but still trying to sing
Awesome
The first time I was playing the C route and heard the "remake" of City Ruins OST was devastating. It was the reminder to 9S to cherish every moment he shared with 2B, with all the pain that task requires. But life goes on, and reinventing himselft is needed, just like this OST. Jesus, what a game.
Too bad he never figured that out.
The one where ahem *spoilers* 2b was an assassin android ?
@@Chucky_the_killerdollA2 se lo revela en la ruta D Y E
7 years later, still have not forgotten that moment.
It drives me insane. The game tends to reuse tracks to no end (such as Mourning being used in important plot scenes and a side quest, Sound of The End being used anytime something intense happens, etc.), so to go as far as to make a totally different version of the over world music to reflect how different the whole world feels after 2B is gone is devastating to me. It always stood out to me as eerie.
i like nier but it’s nowhere near my top game. this song is top of the list, however.
Tus comerciales arruinan la joya de melodía de este juego
The nier franchise is like one the goats of story immersion and plot. I was lost in this game for a while and I loved every second of it. Self destruct and all 🎹😏
They were too pure for this world.
Copied City, Treasured Times, On Approach is just so good I can listen to it for hours on end when I'm playing another game or working out. Seriously the others are so good too but these three fit the criteria for my tastes.
this makes a man cry..

@@Sentinel_Savior Yeah... kind of disappointed tbh. Think they went a little too far by the end. At least the ride was fun, and the modding tools are cool, even if I don't get any benefit from them.

Beautiful Music for This Video Game
Fun Fact: The piano intro to this song is actually the same motif throughout the theme used in the Adam and Eve fight a bit earlier in the story, just a bit more techno sounding. The song is "End of the Unknown", go check it out and see if you can hear it!
