@ I find the issue. It was fsr frame generator, he braking game. With proton hotfix and intel xess quality I get stable 40 fps on steam deck preset

Honestly for the price I think the steam deck is doing just fine. Unreal engine 5 though it's going to be a downfall of handhelds especially unoptimized unreal engine 5 games on the deck. If you want a device that can run these sort of things at a decent spec you want to be looking at the other options but for like double the price at least where I am. LCD of course. There is still like a dizzing number of games that will work just find the steam deck, it's just brand new AAA unoptimised games especially unreal engine 5 games that will make this thing choke like a cartoon character.

My steam deck LCD 512 from 2022 is still my primary handheld. Sold my PS4 after I got this.

yes, the thing with the stamina and speed is because I'm overloaded because I'm carrying too much unfortunately :D I'll do another one in "daytime" then you can see more, yes it might not look nice bro but I'm glad it's working lol and so far I've played for a good 20 hours and it works :/ of course with limitations but it works :) (I also have a high-end PC but I still play it on the deck out of interest)

It varies but for most games the regular ones will work fine

yes, for example with the finals, there are updates every now and then that no longer support proton experimental or 9.0.4 or just don't work anymore, for me it only worked with the proton hotfix at the time, but yes, I would say 95% of all games run perfectly with proton 9.0.4 or experimental. Or you don't force it at all, i.e. you set the checkbox so that the selection doesn't appear and then the deck automatically uses the best for the steam deck, i.e. regular protons

well, the technology in the steam deck is not the newest anymore, I think you should rather go for the rog ally x or something similar :/ steam deck is good, for example the new sniper elite runs very well but games that use ue5 are unfortunately very demanding

you then have a lot of drops below 30 fps :/ at max settings

I don't quite understand the question, 70-60 what? Temperature or fps? I test without limits, i.e. I don't lock my fps to a certain value, I don't make best setting videos here either, but show performance impressions :) I always recommend limiting the fps to have a little more battery and less stuttering in games

Valve doesn’t check after initial review unless they alter their verification policy in a way that requires every game to be retested, or if the developers request it after a major patch.

I mean, a lot of people don't buy games because of the "unsupported" title because they think it won't work :/ Steam would be doing itself a favor by doing that because it would increase the chance of selling a few more decks

Sorry but a steam deck should be able to play and configured to play every game steam sells that's the whole point of a bloody steam deck! Handhelds are to play every and any game available to buy that's the object of them! Other handhelds can play them all basically time valves steam deck caught up and started providing all steam deck users to play every game you have and want to buy on the go! For that reason I'll never buy another steam deck as I want to be able to use it fully like other handhelds I e windows etc apps and play games and access my steam library I like steam o.s but I want full usability like a mobile desktop that I'm used to instead of a PC or expensive laptop!

hello, actually it happens automatically, so if you make a setting on the deck, you don't automatically have that setting on the PC :) I have the same thing with Sons of the Forest, if I play on the deck everything is set to low etc., if I play on the PC everything is automatically set to high :)

there are still mesa updates in the os 3.7 :) and a bug in photo mode was fixed which caused some users to crash

Me and another’s people with bad luck have huge lags and 20 fps after update

yes I agree with you, the steam deck is perfect for that :)

the main game yes, the DLC unfortunately has strong drops below 30 fps but you can still play it. I think the game doesn't deserve the title "verified" though

Unfortunately there are no updates directly from the game, but in the steam os 3.7 there have been some mesa updates since then which have improved the performance I think

hab es grade probiert, leider nein.. immer noch der fehler das man uplay installieren soll obwohl es installiert ist.. es soll wohl mit protonfix irgendwie lauffähig gemacht werden aber habe es selber nicht hinbekommen
