Weekend Trails on Paarl Mountain and strange looking rocks, the summer of 2024
Hello and welcome back, In this video we do a hike on Paarl Mountain exploring an easy to walk hike suited for the family. Our hike starts at the top of Paarl Mountain . This video starts from the Paarl Rock view point and interesting to observe the peculiar rock formations and shapes. They look like teeth from a huge fossil. You can park by the entrance booms or by the MeulWater picnic site and walk up the MeulWater Botanical Garden that then meets at the boom on top. From there take the left route that follows up to the Paarl Rock View point and then you head right towards the two rocks Bretagne and Gordon's Rock. Between these rock is a beautiful steps that leads down to the bottom end. Just simply follow the video and you'll get the route easily. Remember to watch our other videos of Paarl Mountain and also a directions video from Main Street Paarl driving on Jan Phillips gravel Road to the MeulWater Picnic spot. This short video was filmed when we visited Porto in Portugal in October 2018, after we completed our Porto to Santiago Camino. Porto is a beautiful city. Although it was fun and exciting to watch these young men perform these diving acts I must point out that I don't recommend anyone to try it. If you do want to then make sure you are a very experienced swimmer and diver with proper training and a standby team for support in case of emergency.
