Wow, this was such a fantastic video! 🎥📚 I loved how each of the Book Gurus brought their unique perspective to the mystery and crime genre-so many great recommendations to add to my TBR pile. Amanda's pick of A Conspiracy of Bones was especially intriguing; I can't wait to dive into it! Thanks, SmartBookWorms, for putting together such a diverse and exciting list. 🙌 Looking forward to downloading the PDF catalog and exploring even more titles. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you for sharing...
Just finished watching the Deep Dive, and wow, what a list of thrilling reads! 😱 Dogs and Wolves sounds like a deeply intense and emotional journey, and I’m really intrigued by Wagers of Sin-ghosts and werewolves in a detective mystery? Yes, please! 👏 The FBI agent storylines in The Runaway Girls and Journey’s Betrayal had me hooked too. Definitely adding a few of these to my TBR list! 📚 Thanks for the awesome recommendations, Martina and the Book Gurus! Can’t wait to dive into these. 💙 #SmartBookWorms #MysteryNovels
Thank you for your feedback. It's great that you are enjoying the channel. Do keep on watching...
Thank you for a thorough, well-organized presentation. I have been a Bill Clinton supporter and admirer since 1992. The sharpness of his mind and inherent toughness impressed me from the beginning of his presidential campaign. As Hillary would later on, he demonstrated the ability to take a punch and get back up for the next round. He faced a condescending, sometimes hostile press, and a Republican Party whose stated goal was to make him a one-term president. Fortunately for the country, the GOP was unsuccessful. (Newt Gingrich is a failed presidential candidate, a senior guru on Fox News, an infomercial star, and is working on his third marriage.) I’m retired from the United Nations, after nearly 30 years at the New York headquarters. I had the privilege of meeting President Clinton in 2004. He was chairing a small, closed meeting on disaster relief for the Asian countries affected by the tsunami. He called the delegates by their first names; he addressed the priorities of each country regarding relief and recovery. And although his reading glasses rested on the edge of his nose, he conducted the entire session without notes! Some in the room - myself included - had brought along copies of his first presidential memoir, “My Life.” He was more than happy to sign each one. As usual, he lingered after the conclusion for chats - as the young man from his Harlem office nervously tried to ease him out for a UN Radio interview. I’m writing this on 29 December 2024, the day of President Carter’s passing. Along with President Clinton’s lifetime commitment to public service, there is no doubt the CGI draws inspiration from the work of the Carter Center. (Both “retired” in their mid-fifties.) Each president stands as a positive role model. I haven’t yet read “Citizen,” but definitely plan to! Keep up the good work.
What a fantastic collection of books you have provided for all us avid bookworms. There are one or two I must have missed. So glad you came up with this collated list. Will be sure to check out your free PDF give-away; the reviews are always inspiring... Happy New Year to all the team...
Link not working AI s ! Wont try twice. Cos I dont want to be character of a thriller 😂😂
Thank you for your feedback. We have checked and double checked the links; and they are all working seamlessly. Maybe, the problem lies with your browser or VPN...
Wow, this is such an amazing list! 📚 I'm already adding some of these to my TBR for 2024. The breakdown by month is so helpful-it really feels like a curated reading journey. I’d love a deeper dive into March’s literary spring awakening 🌸 or October’s suspenseful picks 🍂. Thank you, SmartBookWorms, for making it so easy to discover great reads! 💙 #SmartBookWorms #BestBooks2024
I'm so glad!

Wow, what an amazing list! 🎉 I loved how each genre was broken down with so much detail and passion-Amanda and the team did a fantastic job. I've already added a bunch of these to my TBR, especially the Mystery & Crime section (my favorite genre!). Can't wait to see what you all dive into next. Keep up the awesome work, SmartBookWorms! 📚💙
Oh, Please. I saw "The Exorcist " in the '70's when it FIRST came out. I saw it in the Chicago at the State and Lake theater. I had a break from a downtown college at the time. The theater was PACKED with black people ( I guess they didn't have day jobs ) and we ALL LAUGHED. A guy sitting behind me had gotten a salami sandwich from the deli across the street. I ❤ salami sandwiches from deli's TO THIS DAY!
Thank you for sharing... ;)
I still love the movie better than the book . It's maybe just me
Thanks for your comment… Movie adaptations of most Stephen King novels are usually as close to the book as you can get; so it’s usually down to a personal choice as to which is better. I don’t necessarily disagree but the written word is often mightier than the screen… What’s your favourite King movie? Shawshank Redemption is one of my favourites…
This is a great book love Danielle Steel
She's certainly had enough practice in writing a good book... ;)
“Chromosome 6” from Two Thousand and Ninety Two.
All his books are good - have you read his latest yet?
These guys are just wrong...that is not what is in the photo: it's a stock photo of the forger's family!! And Roka was not with Bogdan on the train; Karla was with him!! And Smiley does not send Susanna into East Berlin! Did you guys even read the novel!!??
I was too busy, so I got one of my AI clones to read it for me - I guess they must have got their wires crossed somewhere... You just can't trust technology to do it right. Give me pen and paper every rather than a keyboard... ;)
@@smartbookworms I consider that disgraceful...why even do a podcast if you aren't going to be halfway honest and legitimately informative...I am surprised that you confessed this...incidentally, you missed reading an excellent book...and if you don't know, Karla's choice is to kill the guy who was like a father to him...they were on the armored train together...he saved K's life twice...
Another great collection.
At this time of year, you don't expect to see such good books being published; they usually wait until the New Year before bringing out anything half decent... ;)
Such an awesome roundup! I’m especially intrigued by Imposter Syndrome-Joseph Knox never disappoints with his dark, twisty plots! Also, The Good Bride sounds like the perfect mix of drama and heart. Thanks for always keeping my TBR pile stacked. Can’t wait for next week’s picks! 📚✨
Wow, this was such an insightful discussion! I’ve always loved Fahrenheit 451, but hearing you break down the themes of censorship and the power of books made me appreciate it on an even deeper level. The points about technology and its role in isolating us really hit home in today’s world. Thank you for such a thought-provoking conversation-definitely adding more Ray Bradbury to my reading list! 🌟📚
Glad you enjoyed it!
wow. this really fooled me. ai is getting crazy
Nah… it’s just a figment of your imagination… 😅
Wow, this was such a thought-provoking discussion! I love how you compared Orwell's vision of oppressive surveillance to Huxley's world of distraction and pleasure-it really made me think about the ways both are showing up in our society today. The point about social media algorithms being our modern 'telescreens' was especially eye-opening. 👀 Also, the inclusion of The Circle and Ready Player One as modern counterparts was such a great touch-it's fascinating to see how these themes have evolved in the digital age. Can't wait to hear more from the Deep Dive team! 👏 Which dystopian world do you think we’re closer to living in? For me, it feels like a mix of both. 😅
Although I've previously read all five epic books before, your appraisal of each novel has given me the urge to delve amongst my bookshelves and take them down once more. I still rate Nineteen Eighty-four has the best book but only just, with The Handmaid's Tale comes a very close second. And the other three are still well worth a second, or even third reading...
I like it. It's one of your best 👌
Thank you Nathan and Megan for sharing ten incredible Booktubers I should follow; I definitely enjoyed the diverse variety that you provided us. I'll certainly check out these lesser known booktubers.
Wow, what a fantastic lineup of new releases! I'm especially intrigued by The Secret of the Three Fates-gothic mystery in a Scottish castle? Count me in! Also, Bellevue sounds intense; Robin Cook never disappoints with his medical thrillers. Thanks for breaking these down so well-definitely adding a few to my TBR. Can't wait to hear what others think too!
Thank you for the mention: I couldn't have said it better myself ;)
No worries... Sadly, however, this video will be the last of SmartBookWorms Booktubers to follow - at least for now - as I'm cutting back on the number of videos posted to just two per week; although the team will still be churning out their Deep Dive Review Podcasts on a daily basis... Just finished watching the deep dive into Now or Never-this book sounds like such a wild ride! Janet Evanovich never disappoints when it comes to action-packed plots and quirky characters. I loved how you broke down the different elements, especially the whole Robin Hoodie mystery-did not see that twist coming! 😱 Definitely adding this one to my TBR list. Can't wait for more reviews like this! 😍📚
Janet Evanovich is one of only a handful of authors where I've read every single book she's written, especially her Stephanie Plum adventures...

Each to his/her own, I suppose... ;)

Wow, this was such an engaging video! 🧠 I loved how each book covered such diverse yet thought-provoking themes-from Angela Merkel's inspiring memoir to the mind-bending thrill of Heavy Are the Stones. City of Night Birds really intrigued me with its exploration of art and identity, and This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things seems so relatable in today's tech-obsessed world. And of course, who can resist a new Alex Cross thriller? Great job, team-this is the perfect list to deepen anyone’s understanding of the world. 👏📚 Definitely adding these to my reading list. Can’t wait for next week’s recommendations!
Thank you for your generous kind words. It sure gives us a warm glow... ;)

You caught me at “John Grisham”…..
Wow, Claire and Amanda, you’ve outdone yourselves again! This deep dive into Deadly Animals was absolutely captivating. The way you broke down each part, from the psychological analysis to the forensic details, kept me hooked. Ava Bonney’s character sounds so intriguing-can’t wait to read this book for myself! Also, kudos for highlighting societal issues within such a gripping thriller. Definitely voting this as Book of the Month! 👏📚
