Setup and review of the Zempire Aerospeed 10 air tent. One of the best tent we've used. Solid quality. Easy setup (tear down a little more challenging). We took it to Kirk Creek Campsite with some strong gust of wind at night and it held up very well.

This is unboxing and pitching of DoD's new large size RX Pyramid Tent (L) tan color. We lost our old Kelty Trail Ridge 8 tent (th-cam.com/video/o88xAu4-wrc/w-d-xo.html) which has been discontinued, from some very strong gusts in mid December (2024). I believe you can stake out the sides of your tent too for a more taught square shape. Mines just arrived today 😊

Reservation required for most. They do have a couple of sites set aside for walk-ups.

How long would you say that fire lasted/also what do you use to prevent a fire I’m probably bring a fire extinguisher
Generally you want to build the fire with no easily flammable stuff around, and also using some rocks to contain the fire so you don’t get into an emergency situation. Also having water handy is good.

This was site 17. 15-21 odd sites are all cliff front and all have similar view. So does 22.

Did you have to reserve this area in advance?
Yes. We got lucky this time and got it just a few weeks in advance. After coming home we reserved it again right away. That was May. We got late October.
We have the Trail Ridge 6, and love it. Pack size, and weight are great. Setup is easy. We've had it in storms, and many wet nights. Never the first drop of water inside. The stargazing fly is awesome!

We are taking it out to Big Sur for the first time this weekend. Will get back to you with a review after that. But so far it looks good from when I first opened it and I think it’s a good buy.

Best tent out of three in 30 year's..... No problems after camping seven days in a row , two different trips. Had wind and rain both time's, no problems. Two adults, with two Grandsons. Well built.

Tent is great. Just don't try to use it where the night time temperature could fall below 50F. This is a summer tent with lots of ventilation.
