lol at the sneeze in the beginning 😂 This was a good video. What are the intentions for this bushing replacement? Less movement of the LCA in motion? What’s your feedback on them so far? No bind is definitely a luxury in itself.
I had to leave it in there it was too funny lol But yes. Makes the dampers work more since there’s no deflection in the bushing. More positive steering feel & control. Just raises the available threshold that much more.
@@ltwracingI could see how that free moving would allow for independent compliance without a bind occurring.
Exactly. There’s no side to side movement in the arm just up & down w/ the dampers as intended.👌🏾
Thanks for making this video. I needed to see the method used to remove OEM bushing to install a figs super pro polly bushing.
Enjoyed the battle. Thanks!
My pleasure!
bro have you tried the rr racing ones? I m deciding between this and the racing mount from rr
I love the whining sound, but I haven't found any videos about the rr racing one.
Nah I don’t really have the funds to purchase & test 2 of the same mounts. I went w/ Figs because it’s completely solid.
@@ltwracing bro did you get any increase in vibration in low rpm or idle with the figs?
You will get more overall NVH.
Oooooo congrats
Thanks!👌🏾
Nice work, are you gonna keep it wood or is that just for a mock up ?
Thanks! Birch plywood is widely used across all grassroots racing & even some professional series. You’d be surprised how many full fledged racecars use wooden splitters. F1 cars still incorporate wood into the underbody plank. I’ll be using this for now. Maybe down the road ver.2 will be carbon.👌🏾
Awesome content man went from a 06 250, to a 14 350 f sport, and one day hopefully a ISF!
From an IS F owners perspective, if money is no issue just shoot for an IS500 & mod it to your liking. RC F/GS F brakes are bolt on then all you need are a good set of coilovers. There are already used ones out there. Edit: Not to mention the 500 is a much newer car w/ all the current features that you could ask for in a vehicle.
Looks great man keep up the good work
Thanks bro I appreciate it 🙏🏾
Hope you get more subs man, there is no real car guy content on these cars at all just a bunch of wanabees driving them for 5 minutes and calling it a "review".
Thanks man. All I’ve ever tried to do was put the info out there for others to be able to use.
Pls pls pls let me buy a wicker bill off of you lol.
I’ll do my best to make more in the coming weeks. Thanks!
@@ltwracing I’ll pay top dollar good sir!
Hi, have problem with wheel hop in RCF, what need to replace? Stiffer rear suspension bushings?
Upgrading the rear traction arm usually improves wheel hop. Figs makes this as part of their rear suspension linkage kit.
Thanks for making this video, super helpful. Can you describe how you know to tighten things to a certain spec? Like for example how did you get to only 30 ft/lbs when you were tightening the oil bolt? I've never worked on my own cars before and so I'm nervous to start and kind of new to it all. Did you buy a set of tools or did you buy just the ones you needed? I saw you have rhino ramps but isn't it better to also hvae jack stands?
Hey glad this was helpful for you. The oil drain bolt had a torque specification from the manufacturer. It’s 30ft/lbs for all Toyota/Lexus/Scion vehicles. The torque wrench is adjustable. As for the other bolts it’s by feel. Usually one good rip on the impact gun or a quarter turn after the bolt stops spinning if you’re doing it by hand. Hope this helps.
Clever!
This is awesome, I love ISF content. Subbed!
I see the op hasn't replied to anybody but does anyone else know what the big metal cylinder tool he used to pull the bushings in?
I’ve added links in the description.
🤷 Promo SM
Getting that rear bill that straight solo is damn impressive bro. Also, the strikers in the front are a great move. I keep trying to advocate to the RC F owners the actual functionality of hood vents. The rain guard that we have is functional and creates a votex. Just like Novel, that negative pressure zone 100% assists with extraction. But they remove it anyway because it looks "cool". Go figure..... 🙄 Keep em coming!
I believe it man. Toyota/Lexus spends so much time perfecting the aero performance of these cars. They are a great platform to start from.
If that wicker bill works out, you should start taking some orders. I’d buy one from you.
I would cry if this happened to my F😢
Man, sorry to see this.
It’s ok man thanks. We’ll bounce back!
@limitedtrackweapon Of course, your car will ready for some track use after this.
Let's go!! I'm happy to donate the lip to your track build. Subbed and I can't wait to watch your journey!!
Thank you Michael!
Damn bro, sorry to see this. Looks like you made a solid assessment already and well on your way though. Did insurance make those x marks, or that was just through your assessment?
Lindsay Collision did when the initial estimate was done. I meant to mention that it was totaled because for some reason they wanted to take the dash out to check all the wiring because of the accident. Something to do w/ regulations. That ended up costing more than the $30k the car was valued at. Like a buddy of mine mentioned I guess I found the silver lining.
PAINNNN BROOOOO
For real man..😩
The price of amsoil filters is insane... i dont understand that
Most likely due to the construction. They practically identical to TRD filters in their design.
What transmission mount would give the loudest whine absolutely love it
This is the only solid mount I know of. Any mount that uses rubber or poly isolators is going to reduce NVH. So to answer you question this might be the loudest but that’s a byproduct of its advantages.
@@ltwracingHave you had any issues since installed
@@o.gviper7566 none
Looks good bro. I probably need to do something similar with this fender tab.
Can’t wait to see more clips of this car
A link would benefit us, but it’s the 20th century, Google got us 👍🏽
I’ve added links in the description.
More videos of the ISF please! Love the content
Will do.🫡
Do you have to remove the diff to install the crossmember bushings?
Yes
you should look into fumuto valve.. much easy to do oil changes
I saw that on GX Bob’s channel but I actually plan in sucking it out the dipstick tube going forward.
@@ltwracingcurious as to why? You still have to do the harder part of skid plate removal and filter. Might as well while down there
Amsoil cost for 1 oil change on the GX460 is over $165 Pennzoil Ultra Platinum cost with an OEM filter is $50 Amsoil is good but not that good!
if you buy direct from Amsoil and diy with a "preferred" customer It's 110.00. I think it's worth it. An Amsoil salesman just sold his vehicle with 422,000 miles on it. Same engine. Same Tran. and it was a.......Chrysler Town and Country which has the worst trans on the planet. I've seen others do similar things on Amsoil. And you don't change it nearly as often. They recommend every 15k miles. That alone pays for it.
Huh? I paid 86 for the amsoil high mileage directly from their site with the preferred customer discount. If you intent to try to get 200k+ out of this car, why cheap out on oil?
Nice video! How often do you do your oil changes on the GX?
Thanks! Every 10k..
How she been runningwith it.
Barely burns any oil between changes. Maybe half a quart. I rarely have to add any. Oil doesn’t break down and also doesn’t omit much of an odor w/ 10k intervals. Thank!
Be careful checking the dip stick while the car is on the ramps and not flat on the ground. I ended up over filling once and had to drain some out
And warmed up.
My gs350f sport is on Jack stands right now for these. Did you notice the 8 speed shifting better/crisper with these bushings?
Yes the shifts get a little sharper w/ this mod.
Great job and good tools. I just raise the suspension on my LX and have enough clearance. 👍
The best way to take out bushings I did same thing on one of the control arms. After fighting for coupe hours I decide to just cut it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Got one on mine also..like you channel bro keep up the good work...check my channel out ..lots of isf stuff..👍
Very like minded builds. I’m on the same path as you power & drivetrain wise…👌🏾 thanks
Your grunts are so manly..
I’m old.. 😅 lol
Where did you put the relay
It’s built into the OEM horn circuit. You can hear it clicking before I figured out the wiring.
Holy shit this sounds good, almost like hellcat supercharger whine but deeper
What would you recommend for a daily driver?
Megan Racing has one w/ stiffer rubber. RR Racing also has a poly version that they just released. Kein also makes a nice one.
Would you recommend this mount for daily driving?
It could work but you have to understand what the it does & why you want it.
@@ltwracing I ended up going with the KEIN transmission mount and love it. VERY minor NVH.
You really want to install separate wiring to the hella supertones and use a relay that they provide and wiring it directly off the battery. Use the OEM wire as the trigger to the relay. You will get MUCH better performance out of the supertones than just using ground and OEM wiring into the horns.. (20 years of owning subies, wiring super tones, and also supertones on all of my other vehicles (wired the same)
How big a difference did the solid bushings make?
More throttle response and more immediate power transfer to the rear wheels.
@@ltwracingare these better than figs poly bushings?
Not better just different results. One is solid the other is polyurethane rubber. Obviously the solid bushing is stiffer.
@@ltwracinghey did you notice a lot of vibration inside the car after you installed these? Sikky said it’s going to be pretty noticeable difference that’s it’s going to be loud.
@@ltwracingalso did you take out the whole differential? Including the drive axles? You can’t just drop it and work around it?
Which part number is that?
BK112
@@ltwracing thanks. So yea I guess I can conclude they are the same size for the gs350 too
They are
How come the oem ground doesn’t work? Why the need for a separate ground cable?
The OEM horns don’t have a separate ground. They work within the horn circuit which is controlled by relays. The Hella horns however require a ground which is why that has to be added. I’ll leave a link in the description to a picture of the horn circuit.
The OEM ground is the bracket itself… Joe Z ;)
@@JoeZis350 Gotcha, thanks!
@@ltwracing Thanks for the explanation
Hey where did you buy it from? I'm looking for one!
This does not require any additional parts.
Hey how’d you reattach the white piece to the inside of the shifter? I just did what you showed and can’t seem to get that piece in at the right spot
Just have to take your time as the parts are really small. No real way to do it just gotta make it work.
