A bit late to the party. To suggest that it does not matter who we vote for suggests that you have been asleep during the past 10+ years. Is our country in better shape today that we were in 2020? Is freedom of religion as evident as imagined by our founding fathers? You have likely heard of Eric Metaxas who recently wrote "A letter to the American Church". He makes a compelling case comparing Germany in the 1930's with the US today, and how the German Church might have been able to hold off the rise of Nazism. Might be a good read given your views on politics. Why aren't we hearing more from the pulpit and commentators like yourself on such concerns? Some might argue that he is may be the Dietrich Bonhoeffer of the 21st century. The Pacific Justice Institute held a recent zoom conference on "How-to Elect God-Fearing Leaders". Again, to suggest that it does not matter who you vote for flies in the face of history, both recent and longer term. Interested in hearing your response.

Its been said before, God gave us two ears yet one mouth for a reason! For me, God’s often talking to me, it’s just that I’m not always listening. Great lesson: full of insight, wisdom, challenges, and of course a reminder that thankfully prayer is a two way conversation. May I (we) listen after talking to JC or reading that best selling book of all time.

We had coffee together on Saturday at the retreat. My final degree was in Genetics, plant breeding, but an earlier degree was in agronomy. Not much hands on experience beyond home gardening and some research fields but I'm fluent in Red Neck and can translate Good-ole-Boy. Try releasing God's glory into your fingers, "Father, I release your glory into my fingers to heal and restore". He made us into a nation of kings and priests, most are more comfortable with the priest role but the king role can be very powerful.
