2020 Husqvarna FX450 First Ride, can it handle single track?
My fist ride on the FX450. The bike far exceeded my expectations. I never thought a 450 could operate so smooth, the mapping on this bike is spot on. The air forks feels better than any Yamaha SSS forks I’ve been on. The Magura clutch and brakes are a big step above the Japanese bikes. I felt comfortable on this bike after about 30 seconds. #fx450 #husqvarna

I’m torn between the fc & fx I have an fe450 for trails but I need a mx bike that will be also 50% a trail bike too Tough my fe does everything I need except it doesn’t love the big hill climbs… dam tough
The FX is a good 50/50 bike, but if your doing more motocross I would go with the FC and lighten up the air pressure when trail riding.
Good review. I'm getting back into riding after a 20 year absence. Was looking at the te 300 or the fe 450. I used to be an A enduro rider back in the day. I think the 450 will be a better all around. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to throw it around in the tight single track but it looks like your not having a problem in the tight. I'm a big muscley guy so I think it's a non issue. Once again, very good review. Thanks!
I’ve got an fx 350 . Forget the suspension settings in the book . Lower air pressure to 130 psi , slow rebound to 10 clicks front and rear and run soft compression! Settings in the book have rebound to fast for slower trails like in your video
My KTM dealership said I wouldn't have it in my garage for 1 month. I'm so jealous right now. I really want to get my daughter some seat time on this bike. Can your boy touch how old is he?
Craig Braun Our Son is 5 and he can touch with 1 leg at the lowest seat height. We had to lower the seat once we got the bike: we will post our video on lowering the seat soon. It’s a great bike: you will enjoy! He has moved up to race mode 4 and did a pretty big jump today (see on Instagram) We just started mode 1 and as he got comfortable and asked us to move up we have. The power has been great at each level.
@@wanlessadventures692 did you have to use the lowering KTM lowering kit my dealership wants 600 to install
We did not buy the lowering kit from the dealer. We just followed the steps in the manual and that had us lower the rear shock into a different position and move the subframe into lower mounting holes. Pics of it our on our Instagram page
@@wanlessadventures692 hey I just got the bike does front forks feel sloppy. What are your settings for your boy. They feel very stiff and almost like they have no oil
I thought my sons front forks felt to stiff so I turned the clicker on the right fork clockwise as far as it would go and then backed it out counterclockwise 15 clicks. On the air side of the forks the manual said the lowest to run the air pressure is 20 psi but I dropped it down to 15 psi and that feels a lot better.
