I love International Harvester but can't ignore the power of John Deer.

I believe Dowdeswell recommended using optional intermediate bogey when ploughing with large articulated tractors. Since these tractors are conventional rigid frame machines, is there any benefit to be gained by using said bogey in this instance ? I'm guessing less mechanical strain on both tractor and plough since they're not so rigidly attached to one another but the two larger ploughs must be a bit of a nightmare to reverse, when setting up for the next run down the field ?

I think it was a U42 prototype precursor to a FENDT combine, later also MF Centora... Not a U52 The U42 was a fantastic combine, with a superb cabin.

That is some old iron out there!. I ran a 21 on the Eufala dam project in Oklahoma until they found out I was just 15 . I cut my teeth on a DW10, Dw15, and a C Turnapull. That 21 was a beast back then. Y'all havagudun. Oh yeah we also had a 2U D8 and a Allis HD 15.
