Nick, you didn't comment on this but please remember that Diante is starting immediately because another assistant coach was just released a few weeks ago. After Taylor was let go, we are actually down one coach and needed to fill that spot. I have no idea if Diante will be a long-term hire. Hopefully he will, but I don't see him making a huge difference this year. But he certainly won't hurt and I love having him back to help.

Campbell's biggest mistake as a football coach was when he had the team wear black to his first CyHawk game. Iowa State and Iowa picked their colors the same way: Gold/Maize to represent Iowa Corn, and their second color symbolizes the color of their hearts. . . At least the black is not as bad as Tertiary blue.

ISU already played Colorado and beat them handily 99-71. Every B12 team has a good chance of beating ISU at home, but Colorado would not be main concern for road games; there are going to be several much much tougher games.

Dude, we beat Colorado by 28 points at Maui neutral court. We will be National Champions this year. We should be undefeated the rest of the year. We were slaughtering Auburn by 18 points going into the second half, then lost by two points. Have have 10 players that are awesome. You’re totally wrong.

TJ went and left Iowa State to get head coaching experience with the sole purpose of coming back to claim the job someday. I believe he's being genuine when he says he loves it there. He fits. If the cyclones want a shootout, we can do that and we will not be outscored. If you want to play keep away, we have a stable of backs and one of the best olines in the country, so we can do that also. Like the other commenter said, we have not won a bowl game in forever, in addition to a team that is pissed we missed the Championship game and playoffs. This game means everything to Miami.

You spot on. If we (Miami) can get two stops a quarter we should win it convincingly. We haven’t stopped pretty much no one all season, I don’t know how good Iowa State offense is but if decent we can be in a dog fight. Majority of teams in the country wouldn’t stop Cam and the offense.

Still, even if you wipe out the Indian Hills year, he has 2 years at Buffalo and 2 at ISU. That is 4 at D1. Why would he get another year? Don’t get me wrong, I hope he gets it, but seems unlikely. Even his Covid year was at Indian Hills. Be weird to say his Covid year,that already didn’t count to give him a fifth year, didn’t count again to give him a fifth D1 year.

Big Big Cyclones fan here who is ALSO a CANES fan! I love Matt Campbell and the culture and development he's built there. Miami has not won a bowl game in 8 years and hasn't gotten to 11 games in 21 years so it'll be a big deal to win. Cyclones are one of the best coached and managed programs in nation we will be at game GO CANES and CLONES!

People talk about who has Miami beat or played? Well who have we beat or played as well? The big 12 and ACC are in the same boat. We don't have any dominant programs that will be at the top of the conference every year. Maybe someone can change that and hopefully it's the cyclones in the big 12. I'm not holding my breath tho lol

So when you say a name like Onyedim and follow it up with “I’m probably butchering his name” it makes it seem like you’re brand new to Iowa State, you don’t know who the player is, and haven’t done your research. Maybe double check if you’re unsure on someone’s name before the show.
