✅ About Lost Socket Garage:
Lost Socket Garage.com was created in 2019, though its roots run much longer. It all began with a group of friends that loved to modify their cheap high school cars with next to no actual budget. Originally focusing on our love of American Muscle, we grew into specializing in Classic Ford mustangs and more specifically the highly popular Coupe to Fastback Conversion. With the Fastback Market skyrocketing, we wanted to provide a realistic alternative to owning a classic Fastback without shelling out the premium they draw.
With many Successful conversions under our belt, our goal is to provide Knowledge, Experience, and the highest Quality in the industry at a reasonable price. At Lost Socket Garage, we truly love the car culture and the community that goes with it. It’s not about the money, it’s about making people smile when they hit the gas.
Sincerely, Hunter Smith

I undetstand your specialty is coupe to fastbacks. But to turn a Golden Nugget into a fastback is just sacrilegious. Actually a Golden Nugget sold at Mecum for 140,000 only 2 years ago. So on that note think and research carefully. The moment the top comes of im going to unsubcribe from your channel. I wont be able to watch it get destroyed. Just being honest. Yes a Golden Nugget is worth more than a Shelby.

Well I’m torn I am a big proponent of it’s his car he can do what he wants, however it’s an under 500 built car. On the other hand sell it to someone that has the money and obsession to do it stock. I am not a purist my ‘67 Fastback was my drag car but it was a C code my ‘67 Coupe was my “street car” that I ran on the road and at 108 in the 405 (IYKYK) so I’m no insane purist. How about find another car a C code not a Gold Nugget and sell it to an insane purist they are out there trust me. I sold a ‘67 S code that was garbage with nothing but the vin to a guy that found out I was going to turn it into at 428 CJ drag car. I got 5 times what it was worth due to the guys obsession with stock restoration he could have easily found an S code that unlike this car had a drivetrain, had floors and rockers, had the torque box, had a front clip, had wiring, etc. my plan was tube chassis wearing the shell of the original with a fiberglass front end, 428 CJ, 4 SPD top loader, aftermarket 9”, it would look like a ‘67 but would have been more closely related to a Pro Mod but tagged and streetable barely. The car was restored to its ugly green the same color as my moms ‘72 Galaxie Wagon and was passed down to his kids. It was put together with more NOS parts that some Shelby’s get. Just saying if a dude with deep pockets and an obsession with bone stock restoration shows up don’t be afraid to take an obscene amount of money and find a C code and put that money towards the wildest build ever make it insane!!! I made an OCD guy happy and had a bunch of cash to spend on whatever I wanted. I do love the one off Gold Nugget idea that’s my usual proclivity but though I would play devils advocate. Whatever you do enjoy it!!
