Great example of "keepin' wet." Guides know better than this.
What kind of nymph are you guys throwing?
@@LetsFish21 depends on the day but I always start with a midge
Any good place to steel head fish in the fall in Idaho?
@@LetsFish21 the lower salmon and lower Clearwater can be good this time of year
That view is insane plus catching fish. Good stuff. I smashed the thumbs up button and hit the sub button to show support and love. Thanks for sharing
@@CAM67 thanks for your support. it is definitely one of our favorites places to spend time.
Do you modify the rig for salmon?
@@darkshade8384 I have caught salmon on the same set up just size2 O hook. Get lots of colors you never know what one will work on that day. And bigger line.
Just getting into salmon fishing. Mind if I ask where you buy roe and what kind?
@@darkshade8384 I don’t buy roe we cure our own eggs from steelhead season. If you have questions about curing eggs we are happy to help.
Okay. So as a beginner salmon angler(and beginner steelhead angler for that matter) what would you recommend I start fishing with.
@@darkshade8384 if bobber fishing try jigs and beads. If drift fishing try beads, corkies, and yarn. Then keep the hens and cure the eggs
@@darkshade8384 if you do buy roe make sure it’s from the fridge not the vacuum seals stuff on the shelf
Do you have videos on rigging beads corkies and yarn?
Pretty Awesome!
Whoop whoop! How fuuuun!
❤️❤️❤️
Good job. New subscriber here. Keep them coming and good luck out there
Thanks 👍

OUR RUN IN THE DETROIT RIVER PRODUCED SOME 18 in. UP TO 3 lbs. ON THIS YEARS RUN !
Those are toads. We found some bigger one in Oklahoma.
Never seen a fish like that before
They are crazy looking fish and a blast to catch
@@fishp0rn208 they big I catch trout with my poppop
@@gobirds4362 that’s awesome
Spoonbill get massive. Years ago, a buddy & me found a pool full of spoonies. We jumped in & went after them by hand. Trying to catch them by hand is hard AF, but fun. Word of advice; wear atleast 2 layers of clothing if ya try to catch these bohemians by hand. They will put a whoopin on your backside that ya will NEVER FORGET. Both me & my buddy have caught quite a few weighing 85+. State record is 146lbs, but I have seen them BIGGER, like in the 180lb range & bout 9.5 ft long
My middle daughter snagged her first spoonie. She throughly enjoyed the battle. It was a 60. Not bad for her first 1.
smallest steelhead ive seen in abit those hatchery?
Yes and normal for that river. Plus swimming 900 miles will do that to you
@@fishp0rn208 True 900 miles is quite a swim. Nice catching on the drift rig dont see many guys anymore fish like that its 90% float in Seattle area
@@kc1957 it’s still a very popular style in idaho but bobbers are gaining
Check out our Clearwater videos to see the big ones
@@fishp0rn208 did that and subscribed

Well this was the first week of February
Hi Justin, great video. I am not however farmiliar with the term "B run" steelhead?
In Idaho fish that spent 1 year in the ocean are A run and 2 year ocean fish are B run. The B run fish are always larger.
Been wanting to head back, but I know the water is running high. How has it looked lately? Is this recent?
A that was about a month ago and it wasn’t bad
@@fishp0rn208 I caught some fish out there about a month ago, been too busy to get out lately
We don’t like to fish late and high it gets to crazy for me.
Still head. Ha hah steel may guy
