Hey there! Welcome to my channel.
My name is Jenny - but you can also call me Han.
I'm a traditional/digital artist, writer, nerd, introvert, & doggo mom to a lil dachshund named Bonsai.
Although I've been drawing since I was a child, I've taken many hiatuses from art all throughout my life. There was always some reason I couldn't make time to draw - most of which were excuses. Truth be told, I'm such a huge perfectionist so it's quite difficult to get over the crippling anxiety of starting something in fear what I make won't match the vision I had in mind.
But over the last couple of years, many critical & monumental events have changed my perspective of life. As a result, I've started diving back into art & falling in love all over again with this form of self-expression.
Being creative has always been the core of my identity, so I hope you enjoy accompanying me on this journey to rediscover who I am as an artist & most importantly as a human being.

Inside My Sketchbook: A Tour of 100 Pages

Hey everyone! For this week's video, I’m taking you guys on my first OFFICIAL sketchbook tour! It’s taken me about 6 years to finally complete it since I went on many hiatuses. Needless to say, this has been one of my biggest accomplishments this year. I have so many other sketchbooks to fill up, so expect more sketchbook tours in the future! Since I’m a ~bit~ of a perfectionist, putting my bad & ugly sketches out there was a nerve-wracking decision. Besides a few pages I had to exclude, I’m basically showing all 100 pages in this sketchbook! I hope other artistic souls can find it encouraging to watch my videos or any other videos on TH-cam where the artists (figuratively) bares it all! You’re not always going to come up with masterpieces, & that’s okay. Wouldn’t it be exhausting to feel that pressure every time you go to sketch or create something? Get comfortable with messing up. Learn from your mistakes, & most importantly enjoy the process! Art should be about having fun. Hope you enjoy the video! I’ll be back to creating art in my next one. 🤓

Come draw with me (or simply chill) as I get more comfortable with figure/gesture drawings. I find myself easily slipping back into drawing the structure of poses rather than keeping the forms loose while focusing more on the movement of the poses. I always feel the need to perfect even rough sketches, so it's hard to approach art in a gestural manner. This is something I'd like to be more cons...

I adore crosshatching! It makes it so much more interesting. If only I had the patience for it lol have you ever tried adding shadows using a purple overlay??

Ooh, that looks fantastic! Just got myself my first ever ipad and apple pencil a week ago and procreate is such a cool drawing app. Nice to see what you can do with it!

Yes girl! This is so cute! It's beyond freeing to take a break from portraits. It really makes you realize how easy everything else is to draw in comparison lol
