There are tons of options! This is a recreation server for people that want to play like its 1999! Official just released their newest version "New Legacy" with a seasons take on the game. There are tons of other private servers with varying customization, and check out Secrets of Sosaria for a deep single player experience.

I would, it'll never be quite the same as back in the day, but its still one of the best games ever made

@@EurypterusGaming the alien start is very brutal if you dont have characters to support it with gear. But it gets to be absolutely crazy once you get some status up :)

Yes, this is a T2A recreation server that has been up and running since 2008. It aims to recreate the game as it was during the "Second Age" expansion circ. November 1999. Still running strong after all these years, a small but dedicated group of players that love the ruleset from 1999 before Trammel was added to the game. uosecondage.com for more info =)

Thanks for the tips! After this episode I definitely thought of a few things, adding tinkering being one. Also I probably should have spent my money on training healing instead of cooking doh! Oh and thanks for the info on "Scary" monsters. I guess hydras and Dragons aren't scary enough in this mod haha. I think I'll hit up the British Crypts newbie dungeon next time.

Yes! Unfortunately the creator of AoA has gone AWOL, literally closing up shop and removing the DL links. I need to change the description for these videos as such, but the community has found their way to a new Discord server hosted by people thaty run AoA and RnR servers. Thanks for the suband comment! Glad you like it, its old-school graphics but a ton of fun! With the open skill system you can mix and match, not like most modern games where you are restricted into a class system.

The pop peaks around 100 clients. Lots of vets come back for a hit of the nostalgia, and lots of new people come to check it out. Despite the lower population, you will always find someone if you look around cities and hot spots.

Ha! These were recorded months ago, before summer holidays. Just burning through the backlog before I need to neglect the family again.

I am using the classioUO client to resize and zoom and get 60fps. Its very nice and required imo for playing in 2024. Unless you run an old CRT with 800x600 resolution ;) FYI- Outlands has their own custom version of the classicuo client that is included in their installer.

Yes this is the in-game music from the client on UOSA website. You can always play on both servers depending on what you are feeling like.I recommend to to join the discord to get any help, especially if any PKs trouble you, people will come chase them off ;)

It is really great for a 25 year old wizard game! Full loot and open pvp get that adrenaline pumping!

@@Le0byn We average 70-100 at peak times. It's an active player base though, you'll always run into people around, especially around banks and hot spots.

@@EurypterusGaming that’s great, I’ve been sold on giving Outlands a try. The New Legacy second beta weekend is going on and I’m going to continue my trial of that. When that’s done on Monday, I’ll be starting Outlands. I’m looking forward to it.

We average 70-100 at peak times. I think last weekend we saw 108 or more. But it is an active population. There are no log-in incentives like on UOR server, so most of the people logged in are actually doing something. Not a lot of people are bank sitting, but if you recall around and check hotspots you will always run into someone. Lots of new names popping up in the discord too. Come join us!

I am using the ClassicUO client. www.classicuo.eu It has the ability to set your refresh rate(im set to 60) and zoom in. You can see i spend most of my time at 0.6-0.8X. Only zooming out when I need to see around me in the wild.

For sure, it is far from what it once was back in the day with 800+ clients logged in, but it isn't as dead as it has been the past years. Active GM Boomland Jenkins is back doing events, and they are preparing to launch a new website and built in CUO launcher. We average around 100 clients at peak hours nowadays.And there is always tons of Drama =)

@@EurypterusGaming Have they fixed the issue with people having 15 different accounts to control the housing market? That is a big reason why I don't consider returning.

@@bobdobbs420 The 3 account limit rule is enforced as far as I can tell. There are tons of housing spaces available, even space for larger houses, keeps, maybe even castles. I just placed a vendor house 1 screen from Yew MG yesterday. Population still hovering around 80-100 and more on the weekends.

Awww that what a shame. I am here because I heard of UO second age as Outlands has loads of players but it’s a custom map and has accelerated skill gain and stuff. I guess I’ll be staying in Outlands if this shard is ‘Dead as Hell’

@ShortFormLiFe I wouldn't say it is dead at all. Average peak is around 80-100 clients, most of them being actually playing characters, not just afkers. We have a very active GM that is constantly putting on special events, with a huge 10 part quest about to drop very soon. Lots of drama between guilds and new players joining and chatting in discord all the time. This is true UO, not the neon pixel pay2win garbage over on UOOL.
