That looked like a soggy day for sure. The music you picked to highlight the day gave it a festive feel instead of feeling dreary..... that's a positive. I chuckled at the strawberry ice cream bar - but hey, strawberry is a fruit! Hope the next day was clear skies for you.

I'm glad you stopped when the others did even though it had only been a 9-mile day. That means more group hiking the next day to the hostel. That pack does sound heavy at 42 lbs! I like the tunes you've incorporated into your video!

You stayed in the same bunk that I did at the alpaca hostel! I almost forgot that the last time I saw you was coming back to Bear's Garden. Excited to see how that marathon day turned out for you!

I thoroughly enjoyed this video.... you seemed to really have a great couple of days of hiking, even in the cold wind and rain. I'm thankful the Station 19e Hostel was so very kind to accommodate you guys like they did and get you out of the rain. You actually looked pretty comfy on the floor in front of the fireplace!

Totally missed that turn coming down from Roan High Knob too. We didn't make it down as far as the road, but it was an easy one to miss! I'm bummed I didn't go down to check out that old barn shelter; looked cool!

I'm sure throughout an adventure like this there will be several days when you have that thought of quitting... even after all of the years of planning and wanting and dreaming of doing this. These are long days of being alone and walking/climbing a lot of hard miles! Yes it is early into the goal, but it's still been over a month since you've been home. I'm glad that by slowing down your miles that day you were able to again smile and enjoy the journey you're taking. Thank you for sharing these honest moments!

I remember when you texted us and told us about that banana.... it genuinely brightened your day! We got the biggest kick out of that! I hope whoever left it in that tree has seen your video and knows it was a great trail magic moment!
