Amazing
Amazing!! Very very beautifull traditional chinese music !!
I'm going to use it as my alarm clock.
Before watching the movie: Happy song and harmony After watching the movie: Sad and hopeless song.
Please, does anyone know where else I can find this track? Spotify maybe? What is its Chinese name? Thanks! I LOVE this song SO MUCH, been searching for it for years!
I believe the soundtrack is on Spotify! Wish it was on Apple Music too

Stranjah!!
Magnifique film ♡
Beautiful Film!!! ❤
Reminds me of Offenbach ( eg the Can-Can)
For anyone who has not seen this film: see it as soon as you can. One of the rare truly magical film experiences. Beyond sublime.
Beautiful song but the next summer Songlian has gone mad and the fifth mistress has just arrived..she is young but sad..She has a severe expression on her face,as if she were resigned to her fate..
I Shall dance at this music sound when the arrogant american imperialist will be wiped out of this planet!
best wishes
A level film studies nostalgia
By the way, referenced in Vanilla Sky. Fun fact. :)
THANK YOU GOOD AND @johnconnor
Not full this is just the theme alone
whose song is it? I thought It was Jean Constantin's
It's by Georges Delerue
This and another Delerue score -- for Interlude (1968) -- are my two favorites. Why can't I find a complete score for each on CD? I've only found portions.
This song is awesome ! :D
I have not seen this film yet. I want to, and plan on borrowing it from my university's library. I just got captivated by the music in the trailer and so I looked up the sound track and got here. I'm already moved and I haven't even seen the movie yet. I can't wait!
Did you ever get to see it?
@@marcevan1141 I did. It's one of my all time favourites. ❤❤
@@CelticMudkip My favorite film. I first saw it at a revival in NYC in 1985. Pure intoxication-the ideal marriage of form and content. It's an absolutely transcendent use of the film medium. And Jeanne Moreau's iconic performance is really beyond praise-talk about an actress embodying every aspect of a complex character's inner life. She's endlessly, dizzyingly fascinating. And she accomplishes this herculean feat with such breathtaking effortlessness. That's true of the whole film. It's a staggering work of art but there's no sweat-it just happens. That's what makes it such a uniquely magical experience. As the great critic Pauline Kael said in her original ecstatic rave of the film: "...nothing is overstated, or even STATED.. "
Merveilleuse! Simplement magnifique!
Thanks for the link in the description!
Best there is.
