Looks good, nice job! where did you get those top brackets that hold the amp board?
I made those. I got some metal from HomeDepot. Drilled some holes and bent them till they fit
Clean install.
What is the little red plastic box attached to I think the positive cable by the driver side exhaust manifold?
That is the factory Alternator sensor.
@@jockmcmillan2640 So it is needed for the gauge on the dash to read correctly or work like a voltage regulator. Thanks for the reply.
Did your headlights get brighter ?
Nope, But I switched to LED headlights to stop the dimming
Is one ground cable connected at the hood?
That's a factory ground wire connected to the hood

Jock hello! Hope you’re doing welll. Hoping for a bit of help. I want to install dual alternators in my 06 trail blazer and have them charge 6 batteries in parallel. Add an inverter?? That attaches to a EV motor that drives my rear axle. The gas engine will only run the timing belt. Can alternators achieve this?
I have one alternator running the charging the front batteries and the second one charging the 3 batteries in the cab. I would say do as much research as possible before hand.

I like this amp tou picked out to run tour subs on b-2 audio is very nice stuff an i really like there components . 6-. 1/2 mids an 1 inch tweeter that come together those are awesome .
What bracket is that and where did you get it from. Thats the one I need for my Avalanche

The 3 runs where did you get that connector the one it on the alternator getting ready to hook one.up in my trailblazer one wire style

I guarantee that alt ain't no 300amp. Then eBay companies lie from experience. Get a mechman and call it a day. It's expensive but reliable.

Yeah this amp is 2ohm stable. Do not wire below that. Will go into protect

I upgraded to two alternators. Voltage stays above 13.8
Prove it with a meter.
I got 2 of them installed now. My voltage doesn't drop below 13.5 at full tilt, so I'm happy. One day I'll get around to testing them.
What subs u running it on ?
I started with some cheap no name subs but moved up to some Pioneer TW3s
101 if at all possible add 300 Amp not replace then you will have 410amps no problems included. Plus if you are using a 250$ ebay alternative that claims 305 its probably 200amps not 305. Support your BASSHEAD Community.. SINGER' MECHMAN' EXCESSIVE AMPERAGE' FULL THROTTLE'. PS NOT BAGGING ON you though real talk just put an DC AMP CLAMP ON IT ILL BET ITS NOT 305. Stop wasting ur money and build quality. Your deaf bonce is quality ..lol BONCE ..NOT BOUNCE.LOL NOT SURE YOUR SUBS but hifonics ZEUS IS NOT I REPEAT NOT LIKE THE 25 YEAR ago zapco and hifonics where the very best. But now hifonis is like Blaupunkt bought and dismantled. AkA GARBAGE. as much as I hate SKAR I would recommend them as an inexpensive replacement.or possibley teramps i use them and they are great i have a BASS 8K mono block and a 800 watt 4 channel and i love them. Same as soundstream those companies don't exist anymore. But stay quality and add as often instead of replace plus ..0.. gauge only supports 2000 wats or so depending on CCA OFC and length so add you a whole other set bc 300 amps × 14.4= 4.320 watts and if you don't then you will be wasting amps and not seeing them just some basshead info for you thought it could help.

I wouldn't call them trash, but I stopped using them a while back. I have a B2 Audio 7900 now on my subs

It looks good bud, do you have any sort of vibration (pads/absorbers??idk the term) between the amp and the box? I'd imagine it might not be good in the long run. How's it sound?
Yes. I used small pieces of speaker wire insulation on the screws then mounted the amp close to the side and next to bracing inside the box to reduce vibration

Not really sure if it is exactly 300amp, but it puts out way more than my old alternator.

I have the same engine and get an average of 14.4 volts at the amp with the stock alternator. I have 9200 watts between 2 amps. I think your setup is lacking 0ga from the battery to amps. I run 2/0ga in the big 3. Everything else is 0GA SKYHIGH wire to the amp. I think I maximize my stock alternator because of my wiring. It does drop to 12.2 amps at serious bass drops but that is only when I am pushing the bass. I will upgrade the alternator one day but my setup meets my daily driving needs.
I switched to a B2 Audio Riot for more power at 4ohm and 2ohms.
Question. 03 silverado and I have to use the H104 adapter harness to get 12v power for the alternator but getting a service brake booster message now
On your factory wiring did u connect the blue wire to anything?

I like your style. Mine is a 07 dodge 1500, 4.7-problem has been finding an upgrade, no luck at Summit Racing or on the internet, finally i tried Mechman and found a 240 amp replacement, i also have amps (3) behind the seat - peace
2002 dodge here, and same only could find a 240 amp alt. Any luck on finding a bigger one from a reliable company?
@@aaroncardenas9062 nope-checked everywhere, 240 will more than do my system, my stock alternator puts out 135 amps, which should be about 65-70 at idle, just enough, my lights do not dim at high volume, but thats pushing it
When you hook up a upgraded alternator doesn't your voltage supposed to stay on one voltage I got a 370 and it drops a meter drops under 14
You need a voltage regulator, stand alone

To run 2 of them u only need about 1000rms max.... They r very easy to drive

Does the 4ga power wires hold up well to the power? I think it recommends 1/0...
I got 8 audiopipe ts pp3 12s sealed flexing at 9hz-120hz the response is Amazing and they never get hot or smell I can push them hard all day and hit hard at any frequency I want from 9hz-120hz anything below 9hz needs extra power
