Preach, Tomb Raider 3 is a convoluted mess with one bad design choice after another. Tomb Raider IV improved the level design in practically every way.

as i get older, i love this short, poignant experiences more and more.

i played it a few weeks ago for the first time and had a fucking blast with it. they dont make games like this any more. no politics. no fucking agendas. the goal of the developer was: how can the player have the bigest amount of fucking fun possible. recommend it to everyone. also: have you ever played the original PREY? its even better than this one. a true gem.

I’m 57 and played the original and now having just as much fun playing the remastered version.

I’m looking forward to play the remaster! As a child I was so intrigued about tomb raider and would watch my brothers play it but after playing the first 3 I’m ready for more ❤

This is my favorite TR game. Glad you actually played it. I feel like this one really lived up to TR the way AoD should have. 😅

The game is too difficult. But also it was s different time. We used to have 2/3 games a year so a game like this would last me the whole year to finish. It felt like a personal achievement being 16 years at the time 😂 the game is unfair but the sense of exploration is unmatched. Zero hand holding like current adventures

This game felt like a Resident Evil (survival/action horror) game to me...except it had platforming. I loved it.

If they rerelease the trilogy across all platforms it will shit on all other games espescially pc for years i guantee it With the map making, dual player campaign, and the arcade....duse will slap hard

And now we wait for the videos about chronices and Angel of Darkness. Also there is a chance that the LAU trilogy could get a remaster as well. But this is not official yet.

I’ve always wanted to play 2 and 3 (I know I played the first back on ps2 when I was way younger but if I did play the sequels I don’t remember lol) now that it’s on psn I just got around to them and realized the gameplay is similar to goldeneye and the original perfect dark. Now doing some research like this video I can’t believe I never knew that the dev of this trilogy was made up of devs that made goldeneye and perfect dark. It feels so similar but also it’s own thing as well. Apart from The objective and fp structure it’s so cool with various settings and a ton of replayability. Really hope that enough attention has been drawn from putting them on psn that we can get some sort of revival for the series. I’d love to see a team that loves these games take a modern day crack at it.

This game was so great. Not a lot of people made content about this game so playing it on your own is so much more rewarding. Hell, I got Tyler drowning Vince on my first playthrough and Jay let him 😂

Also liked the infernal machine title a lot! In a way you can say, it was my first Tomb Raider title 😅

Anniversary has the best Croft Manor level in my opinion. I loved the calm and relaxing mood. Always happy to play it again 🩷

You are not going to get electrocuted by inserting a previously wet circuit board into a machine, that's not how circuit boards work. The worst that can happen is that you damage its components so it doesn't work. In fact, if it's already dry and clean, chances are it will work just fine.

Everything you described thats wrong with it, are creative decisions to create a challenge. I get the feeling modern gamers don't like it when the character dies loads. but Tomb Raider was designed that way. Thats why lara has so many death animations.

I never ended up liking hl2 that much, for me its just ok. A hollywood version of half-life - more flashy and faster half-life without alien enemies which spices up the gameplay in the original, taking place in the city which we saw endless amount of times in shooters. Its nothing really special for me, cod in half-life universe that's what it is, a scripted linear ride against people in which players get an achievement from going off route and finding supply stashes (its like an ultimate head pat from the game for exploring, doing something fun and using your brain for a second instead of gunning down endless waves of people)

Based on this review of a vame alone i would hate to be stuck in any real dangerous situations with you. Although this is a good review.. i dont agree with your view of the world or tombraider on a whole 🤟🏻

i wont say it's mess but sometimes it's just unfairly hard. there are some levels which are great (whole india levels, nevada and south pacific) but there are also levels (london and antartica) that took me days to finish them, especially damn aldwych level with that f**** ticket puzzle. if you ask me, TR3 is impossible to beat without playing previous 2 titles and for me, impossible to beat wihout "help" here and there if you dont want to spend one week playing one level. i mean really, who can assume that the key is ABOVE a f***** drill , damn i hate that level. To be fair, i really enjoyed most of the game but from time to time i really felt lost and helpless and am not young anymore that i can afford myself to play a single game for 2 months. I like intro levels, i liked vibe in the game, enemies are not too hard but i agree, some levels are just way too long and hard to beat and design is very confusing. But considering that game was released in 1999, where all games were much harder, am not surprised by this one. To be honest, i enjoyed more TR1 (and most of) TR2 in terms of difficulty but this one has that special "charm" for some reason

I played and even beat this game on PC 4 times in the last 3 years. And I also beat it on the Sega Saturn once (which is not a great port). So yeah, it does hold up. It's tank controls, sure, but I'm not sure what else they could've done in a pre analog era.

I feel like the Tomb Raider Legend trilogy is emblematic of most 2000’s modernizations of successful properties Went out of its way to modernize the original with a fresh coat of charm but was criticized for being too different and then paving the way for the more safe and boring version in the 2010’s It’s a shame people didn’t support a ton of 2000’s installments that were part of a big franchise because we seldomly get anything that has that same vibe and charm nowadays

Man this review is so wrong, like spending half the time explaining how traps killed you. Its the tombs and they are protected with traps, what do u want? Highway to a artifacts? :D

Just finished TR1 and TR2. 1st TR is clear 10/10 classic and masterpiece. Incredible game. TR2 is NOT as good, but I would not be as harsh on it, as this review. Its a solid 8/10 for me. Yes, theres more combat, but its not that hard and yes u get hit, but thats what the medikits are for. My biggest gripe with it was that I loved the tombs in TR1 and lots of levels in 2 do not feel like tombs. But you get your dose of it towards the end of the game. The difficulty was increased, but thats how it was in 90s when u make 2nd part of a game, u expect the players played 1st part and are already more skilled.

Me to. I'm disappointed. Tomb Raider 2012 and Rise were awesome. Hard to debate which one is better. 3 lost my interest after the beginning. If i had my choice for a remake in the series. I'd pick Tomb Raider 2012

You would think TR2 has too many unfair cheap deaths... until you try TR3. Oh my lord the second level in TR3 has to be the worst in TR history. So so many instant death traps it's just ridiculous. Some times even knowing the trap was comming, I still couldn't make it.

You know why Tomb Raider 2 is hard!?! Because its TR2! Not TR1 Extention! In TR1 of course its more detailed because its introducing Lara Croft and her abilities and expeditions, you learn how to dodge bobby traps, spawn enemies, jumps and swim! In TR2, your expected to know all of her skills and take them too the next level. Thats why the enemies especially the human ones are difficult its because its an adv TR game. If you had a difficult time playing TR2 (which dont get me wrong it is difficult ans challenging) then you either did not complete TR1 or used cheats to help you get thru the game or you need to revist the game! Thats the idea of game sagas, there gonna be challenging as they go on.
