Powick Mill Chimney - Worcester UK Dawson Steeplejacks
I'm curious how does the safety harness get attached at the top in the first place?
No no no no no. ...........
You poor things, having to us safety gear. Probably can't even smoke on the job up there either I bet. Fred had it good! (I'm teasing 😂)
Wish you posted more , and more frequent videos...if u have lots of footage but havent a editor , i could edit your footage into a number of enthralling films with background/foreground music. You could be documenting each job and earning a very large secondary income.
The sweat off me feet wheww, good work.
Fantastic structures .. Great Job
These guys deserve more credit than they get ❤
Imagine the masons who put them up, much respect.
Worlds first Hydro electrics
How the hell do you get onto the 1st ladder when coming down from the top on that small roof? Shimmy down? Balls of bloody steel!!
Looking up from the bottom rung, “It’s actually my expert opinion this chimney has had it and needs bringing down by equipment.”
Never seen a steeplejack climb using the rungs and the ladders have only 2 fixings to each ladder which aint right.
Nope 👀
Aaaaaaaaaand that's a NOPE from me. They're made of stronger stuff.
Nope!
Never climb using the rings always use the rails of the ladder..
Insane heights. Full respect Boys
Good job them lads wore helmets. They might bang their head otherwise if they fell off the top....
doesn't have the same feel as the old vid from the 60s. Fred dibnah is where its at.
Hard hats, harness and health and safety. Fred, cloth cap and roll,up.
What type of anchor do you guys use ? This is very impressive to me.
Safety lines, bloody pussy'iss
'Pussy'iss'
Fred would frown upon using a safety harness 😂 Bloody coward
Fred dibnah brought me to this video. Go check his out if you like this stuff.
I am litterly hanging onto my bed watching this
🤣🤣🙈
@@dawsonsteeplejacksltd9946 You guys have balls of steel!
No thanks
Fred on the over hangs was scary
Great work guys, Fred would be proud.
I couldn’t agree more, Fred was a bloody legend and look were he got after all those years climbing chimneys with out elf and safety, he was his own elf and safety officer and that stood him in good stead for all his years climbing chimney’ and church towers.
This could be an interesting channel. Needs to show the building and work instead of the view.
Just one question. Why dont you make ladders a part of chimney construction? You always have to build your way up instead of just climbing it when necessary.
Some of the newer chimneys do have ladders / platforms built in now.
You're climbing a ladder. Who put the ladder up? Fred would have shown it.
We installed the ladders
Fuck that
I can do scissorlifts and pickers but not this.....climbing a vertical ladder causes great strain on your lungs etc......much respect.
In fairness, Fred Dibnah would show them a thing or two.
I wouldnt want to be the first guy who had to attach the rigging to the top in the first place allowing people to harness themselves in
The worst bit has to be getting round the side of the ladder at the top , looks pretty scary 😧
comments disabled on all your new videos?
That’s a balls’y job when you know that one mistake will be your last. What I think takes the most amount of guts is when their actually setting up the main runs for the others to run up with a harness, knowing my luck I’d find the only loose bed joint!!
Did you bring the special hammer?
please tell me you haven't used wire lashings on every tie???
I spent a few years working in structural steel, never used any type of harnesses. I'm guessing just 15 years or so later I'd never get away with that.........It was kinda fun for a few years in my 20s and 30s but I'll let others do it today. Nothing against the trade, it's just life is only so long and I didn't want to do the same thing for a lifetime.
Посмотреть бы что там внутри трубы.
Nice lightening rod you climb up on.
I just came here to count how many people are mentioning Fred Dibnah. His name is mentioned 97 times in 402 comments.
Yep 😏
It's kinda funny, people seem to think he's the only man in history to do this stuff.
@@rawbacon They sure do. I know we have to wear harnesses, but it is the 21st century and + if I did fall, I would be great full for a second chance 😅
@@dawsonsteeplejacksltd9946 safety isn't stupid
What’s the problem with aluminium ladders over wooden ones? Damn cold on the hands, especially in winter!
my hands always sweat whenever, i watch people like you guys climb chimneys, my hands and my feet sweat when i watch Fred lol
No...not for all the tea in China
Always Hands at sides of ladder never rung by rung
Thank you for your professional input 👍🏻Have a great weekend
@@dawsonsteeplejacksltd9946 Your welcome My pleasure
Easy, you have a safety harness
