Not the right tool by any means....but you did it.

Just got the 22 year model and it shut-off mid ride for no reason. Checked with a dealer and they got now clue about it. Did you, or anyone here with the bike had any issues with this?

Clearly not it's natural habitat but very impressive. Thanks for posting. It would be great for your average forest service roads on a camping trip. Especially when you would be traveling on a fair amount of tarmac to get there. Good to know it'll do more if asked.

Hello, me also finally bought a new Svartpilen 401. Overall, I am very excited about it, but I still have noticed one little problem: the “balance” of the motorcycle. - When I ride straight on the road and lift my hands from the handlebars, the motorcycle starts to pull slightly to the right ... Considering that the motorcycle is brand new, from the store, I find it a little unusual that the center of gravity is out of balance. Have any of you had a similar problem? Please for any advice or your experience .. Thank you very much, Jurij

Handlebar looks different from my swartpilen 250

The primary problem with riding the Svartpilen on dirt is the footpeg location. The secondary problem is the seventeen inch front wheel. The Svartpilen and Vitpilen are configured as road racers... footpeg location is major. Also... the chainguard is wholly inadequate for keeping dirt off the chain.

Definitely not it's territory. The 401 was crying for tarmac.

Pro: it CAN go offroad and hold it's ground Con: it's not the ideal offroad bike, far from it. Conclusion: multipurpose will never excel at anything, but it will do what it has to do.

I like that bike more and more, it is low weight it got enough power it looks nice, but it sounds a little 125cc type, but who cares when it is fun to ride and delivers as it does

Hey man ! Nice ride ! What's your handlebar ? I have a svartpilen too and I find the off-road position is a bit inconfortable even more when standing.
